Apparently Prime Pay Global has reserved one of its outgoing spam numbers just for me. How nice. Rang the wireline. Call blocked. Although the incoming number is my area code, caller ID states "out of area."

Always an "honor to be first."
"Cindy" calling from "Prime Pay Global merchant credit card services (http://primepayglobal.com/) (registered ISO/MSP of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Walnut Creek, CA). She asked for me by first name. She asked if I took credit cards. I said I could not answer that question. She asked my name again and then "Are you the owner of the business?" I asked, "which business." She then mispronounced something in an attempt to ID the:business. I told her she had a wrong number and should correct her records and "try again." She flustered for a second and then hung-up. All the while there were a lot of other voices in the background. I should think a typical boiler room/phone room operation. Call came up with my area code and "out of area" for the CID. Must be using one of the VoIP reseller telco packages that gives the scammers a local area code. As soon as she hung-up, I assigned the number to the blocked call list on my call blocker intercept box.
