he called me from 416-628-7192. but the reception was bad so he called me back from the 773 number. when I called back the 416 number it said this mobile number was not assigned. what a scam!

Same thing just happened to me. 2 choices then id have to go to the "local office" to pick up butcouldnt tell me the hotel names where i could choose this "anywhere in north america option for" i said it was too fa r he said" i dont think so its maybe an hour away"(to woodbridge)  then he said he has my information from a ballet and asked me where i was from. I said to him (jamie he called himself with a strong indian accent and accents in the background aswell) so i saos you have my information you said so tell me where im from. He said all i have is your marital status, your cell number and youre income. I immediately said(without giving out or varifying any information) rip up that ballet and have this company or any other companies call me agathis number is on do not call list you shouldnt be calling anyways.


Earlier when i said "whats the catch" he said "word of mouth is the catch. If you like our services then you can reccomend us to others. I said "services from where" and he couldnt answer me. He directed the conversation to me going to the "local office" and picking up the "promotional offer"

He said the company was "consumer proposal"  i wasnt staying on the line anymore as clearly they wanted more information from me. But "knew how long it would take me to get to their  "local office" ...creepy and unwanted. Sucks to think how many travel t9 think they have a free hotel vacation at a 5 star place anywhere in north america, and find themselves being tricked into more when people on the phone said " there's no catch, if you like our services you simply tell others"

Nov.4/12@10:55a.m.  Call Display says "Unknown Name" T: 17738284424.

I answered - it was a Call Centre, caller said his name was "Harry" (no surname provided when asked) with strong East Indian accent.  Said he was calling from Timeshare Vacations.

Asked me to confirm if I was Mr. or Mrs. [Surname].  I asked what the call was about.  He asked me to confirm my address as I had recently filled out a ballot at a local shopping mall.  I said "No - I don't fill out ballots.  What is this about?"

He said "I don't understand.  I have it right here.  Is your address ...(provided my street address, city& postal code - but not FULL Address) and asked me to confirm.  I said I won't confirm anything until you tell me what this is about.  He said "Are you sure you haven't filled out a ballot or a survey at any local mall, anytime over the past year?  Because it says here that you've won.  But I cannot do anything unless you confirm your address."

I said "Tell me what I've supposedly won, and I'll tell you if I'm interested or not."  He said "I don't understand why you are being so reluctant - you've won 2 prizes."  I said, because these calls are usually scams, trying to sell a timeshare.  If I've won something, you tell me.

He said, just a moment ma'am.  Then hung up on me.  Scammer!

Have reported to Canadian Do Not Call Registry; and RCMP (PhoneBusters) Anti-Fraud email:info@antifraud.ca.

Nov.2@10:17a.m. - Call Display says "Unknown Name; T: 1-773-828-4424".  No message left.  1-800-Notes says this is a Chicago area code - I know no one there.  Living in Ontario.
