this is a collection agency known as Harvey services operating out of Illinois. Unfortunately, if your receiving calls from them they're trying to collect a debt from someone who left your number as their contact. the best thing to do is call the number back when they answer simply say "is this Harvey services? They will say "yes how may I help you"? Just tell them that you received a call from them that you believe is an error and they will ask for your phone number. If you don't owe anyone money 9/10 times they will ask if so-and-so is that that number and when you tell them no they will take it off their list.

Collection calls, especially to people who no longer work at your company or had your phone number before you had it can be infuriating.... Don't be rude to the people they are so used to people wanting to them that they will generally hang up and just call back. If you show them even the slightest bit of respect they will work with you and take your name off the list.

This number calls me all Day through out the day I have spoken to several people to put my cell on the do not call list and still continue to receive calls from them wehn i call abck they are RUDE and HANG up!

Have received calls from this company stating that money is owed to the state of illinois.  No paperwork
has been received from the state of illinos, so I am assuming this is a scam.

Have received several calls from this number asking for a person who has been deceased for at least 3 years and have never lived at this residence. The deceased person worked as a debt collector. could it be possible that the mentally ill widow is trying to hold on to the business.  A SCAM FOR SURE.

So this is the second time I have had this number call when I was home asking for my sister whom lives on the other side of the country.  How did they get my home number baffles me because we have not to given it out to anyone.  They call for a payment of some sort but wont give me the details.

This girl wanted my SS # ." I said you're stupid " Who am I talking to ! she wouldn't give me a name
until I gave her my info over the phone. I told her to go screw yourself (in not nice words).

What I don't understand is HOW these companies associate the new phone number that I received when I moved into this rental home, with PREVIOUS Tenants!?!? This number calls my landline 3-4 times a day looking for someone that lived here more than two years ago, had a DIFFERENT phone number, with an altogether DIFFERENT phone service company! WTF!? I've explained this to these people 100 times already and they SAY they will remove my number, but they never do!! This is not the only collection agency that calls my house looking for people that were previous tenants...."I" don't have any debt, old or new, so why do I have to deal with fifteen calls a day from collection agencies looking for PREVIOUS tenants!?!? This is total B.S.! Not to mention, I pay a fee for my phone number to be UNLISTED and It's on the 'Do Not Call" list!! Why is there no legal recourse for situations like this???

I too received some phone calls from this number.  I am going to call the IRS directly to find out if they are trying to contact me.  I did not answer the call.  I don't answer the call if I don't recognize the phone number.  If it is that important they can leave a message.  This caller did not leave a message.  I would rather call the IRS myself than trust that the person at this number is really from the IRS.  I DON'T TRUST ANYONE NOWADAYS!  There are too many dishonest people in this world!!!

Got a call on my cell phone from 773-932-5049 from Chris Love at Harvard Collections. The call was for my wife, he said my number came up as a secondary number, and she couldn't be reached at the primary. He wasn't rude, but said she owes $36k in back taxes since 2000 for a business that we started called Zema Foods LLC out of Chicago. Interesting since we dont live or conduct any sort of business in Illinois and never have. Sounded like straight up identity theft at first because he had all of her info, but after reading all of these comments, pretty sure it's just a scam.  We will still call the Illinois IRS tomorrow and most likely the BBB of IL and our state of residence to file complaints.

I received a call from 773-932-5049 and the guy said he was calling from IRS provided me the tast 4 digit of my SS and my address and both were wrong so I understood this was a fraudulent call scaring you in the name of IRS. He told me that he wanted to talk to me with regard to my tax matters. Watch out these cheats!

Got a call from this number.  I don't answer phone calls from numbers that I do not recognize.  Based on the comments I'm reading, guess it's a good thing.  Oh, did I mention, my phone number is on the "Do Not Call" list.  Obviously that doesn't mean anything.

Some idiot called and asked for some guy I have no idea about!  I told him you are calling a city in the East coast and he said I know where I am calling. I said then you know it is a wrong number.  The person who wrote above that this is legitmate company, probably works for the company!!

I recei ved call from this num, they told me that they are collection agency and I have unpaid taxes and they will close on it today...I dont know what it means...but I told them I will contact irs and find out...because I did noreceive anything in the mail about unpaid taxes...Lady said sh eis from Harvard callection and I must pay it now....

a guy named Ortiz called me and told me that i was having a problem with my state tax. What a bull.... such a loser and i started talking Fijian hahahahah!

please someone do something about these people! don't know who they are but have looked at several websites and what most folks are saying is that these fools call curse and scream at them and more or less be very rude. surely something can be done? i never answer the calls but its getting annoying. can the authorities be contacted?

Caller from this number left a voice mail stating that this was in reference to a "serious business matter."  I find it interesting that if the matter is so serious, why don't they bother to state who is calling, and who they are calling for?

Legitimate businesses would state, "I am calling from XYZ Company, this message is for John Doe."

So, yeah, I'll be calling them back any day now.  :)

You are wrong.They called us and we don't not owe any money to either the State of Illinois or the IRS or to anyone else either. This is the seecond year in a row they called us at work. We told them last year we did not know the individual they were calling about. They said they would not bother us again. It was the same gentleman as I kept his name. They called again today and again they were rude.  Mr. Jose Ortiz, the name of the man I spoke to again said he didn't care- he follows his own rules. As for any laws he violates, he could really did not care. This by the way is not exactly what he said as I do not like to type the crude language he used

They are a collection agency, and are legit. They collect for the state of Illinois revenue dept. I don't know who else the collect for. They wouldn't call you if you didn't owe someone money.  1-773 932-5049

I just recently started receiving calls from this number, it's always the same message, stating that this is not a sales call but a call regarding an urgent business matter, they don't ask for anyone in my household by name, the number that shows up on the caller id is 773/932-5049, and the caller states that I should return the call to 800/536-9633.  I am so tired of being disturbed by this caller.
