Just posted this number to my call screen list, so they shouldn't be bothering me anymore!

Apparently, the DO NOT CALL list applies only to Canadian companies, organizations, telemarketers etc.

If the call originates in the US, Canada and Canadians have no recourse. PITY EH!

Got a call today in Toronto.  Answered but nobody there.

Read the previous old posts suggesting people report to do not call registry/CRTC but can't be bothered.  DNC registry is a joke.  Just another mismanaged government file that's either not measured/monitored for effectiveness or does it's own self assessment report.

I also filed a complaint with the CRTC as I am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.  Since this call seems to be coming from British Columbia, the CRTC could help to shut them down. Suggest everyone complain!!!!!
they've also been calling my elderly parents and my dad tried to also ask that they stop calling.  In my case, the agent just laughed at me. and hung up.

I suggst everyone who gets these calls registers a complaint wih the DO NOT CALL registry. Just google them to get the site. I just filed a formal complaint.

Same info as notes posted, but I also pressed one to talk to someone. I told them i'm on a DO NOT CALL list and wanted to know if they were calling from the U.S. or Canada (I'm in Canada).  He laughed at me. Refused to answer the question. Asked if I wanted to talk to someone about the debt stuff - they're called Consuemr Debt Advocate, according to the message.  When I said NO, and again said I want to know where they're calling from, he hung up on me. nice.

these same people have been calling my elderly parents who also are on DO NOT CALL list, and my dad got quite upset and told them to stop calling. I doubt it will stop.

I'd like to track this down and shut these guys down. at a minimum, get them to stop harrassing my family.

Called my place of business claiming that they had notified us numerous times regarding our credit card and this was our last notification. Same bogus call was made to my sister.

On August 17 at 10:28 A.M. (MST) I got a call from 778 276 7216. A recording of a woman's voice said that Card Member Services was making their final courtesy call before they close the file on my account. I was told that they sent me several notices before. The recording said I should take advantage of lowering my rates down to as low as 6%. The only qualifications are that I have
over $1,000 charged to my cards and that one is in good standing.Then I was told to press 1 to reach a credit card agent. Since I was out, the answering machine took the call. No card name or
number was mentioned, neither was my name referred to by the phone robot.

Am really annoyed at the number of these types of calls coming in from supposedly 'credit
card payments' companies. I do not owe anyone anything and have more to do with my day
than answer these people.  Why is our Government not doing something about these calls, or
why isn't Bell Telephone stopping them from being in business?

Got a call today as well, didn't answer.

Suspect a telemarketer.

Got call today re credit card
. Said it was customer service and that my card would be cancelled. told me to press 1 to speaker to agent. Agent asked me how I was doing, told her great and that she could stick her help where the sun don't shine and go play with herself in the bathroom

call rediculous amounts of times saying im behind on my credit cards when I only owe a mortgage.
every single day multiple timmes a day.
cant trace the number, cant trace to another number.
call back 778 276 7216; only machine out of service recording.

Recorded Msg. Claimed that I was behind in my credit card payments, that my credit account would be closed and to press 1 to speak with an account representative.  No mention of who was calling.  Made complaint to CRTC.
