This caller is in violation of the CRTC laws and at risk of being fined millions of dollars like Bell was recently for disobeying the law. I received this call twice this evening. The National Do Not Call list does not work.

Five attempted fraud calls in one day (so far) from this number, 647-725-2912 (3 times) and 647-725-2914. Either the air miles fraud or the free cruise fraud.

It seems that "anne" and her cohorts took a "vacation" coincident with that big power issue in India a while back....?  But, yes, "They're Ba-a-a-ck!"  as the young lady said.

More seriously, "Ann" is nowt but a scam, the free cruise behind the "survey" is apparently an effort to part you from your money by sending in a "small fee to claim your prize.."

Here in Canada, I actually spoke to a CRTC official who took the time to respond to my complaint and tell me that there is nothing they can do when the call originates outside Canada. He also inoformed me that my written complaint was one of over 1,000 per week his office receieves about this scam.

Similarly, the US FTC appears to be powerless, saying that although the calls appear to originate in Florida (as per the Canadian govt), they in fact are coming in to Florida from who-knows-where (Mombai? Beijing? Vladivostock? etc), making both governments essentially powerless to enforce their own rules as they currently exist.    Sigh...

So, hang up, hang up, hang up and complain complain complain....  You Americans who read this are in an election cycle- why not ask your wanna-be congressperson what THEIR plan is to deal with this menace? If nothing else, you may get some amusement from their answers.

Rec'd call from 778-785-6246 at our business in Manotick, Ontario. As soon as I answered they hung up.
Nuisance call? or perhaps a telemarketer or survey company  targeting residential #'s?

I got two calls this morning alone.The recording says that it's 'Roberta' and that my 'Household has been selected ...' . Harmless but a nuisance. There have been a couple of other calls this week.

just rcd call 5 mins ago.  woman said they are taking a political survey and would receive a 2 days cruise for answering question.  pressed 9 to have my phone no. deleted.  will wait to see if it works.

Based on the messages I read about this number, it looks like the scammers went on vacation and are back using it again

Called here, answered. No one on the line.  Called the tel # back with *67 and a recording came on saying you've reached a number that called you for a survey and the survey time has now closed.

This phone number calls constantly.  It is some political survey.  I am on the do not call list.  Get rid of them!!!

Same as everyone else no one there it's very annoying. I'm even on the DO NOT CALL list.

I have National Do Not Contact registered for my phone.  This number calls my land line and my cell phone.  I reject the call but they keep on calling back.  I think this must be against the law unless Telus is doing it to rack up money on prepaid cell phones.  GRRRRRRR

This phone number still call me many times during a day!  And this, day after day - even in the late evening time!!!  It's an unknown name and they never leave me any messages!!!  I don't know who is it, I don't know what they want from me?!  I don't know no one from BC!!!  So, I don't want to being disturbed anymore by this phone call!!!!

Got a call from this number again today, and for the first time listened to it and clidked 9, which they said would remove me from their call list. Right away, thought oops, I shouldn't have done that in case it gave them access to use my line. I';ll have to watch that now

Got a call from this number at 1:47PM, recorded message from "Ann" asking me to participate in a short survey regarding "our nation's national debt".  For participating, I was to receive a 2 day cruise....YEAH RIGHT!!....obviously a scam, I hung up.  PS:  Normally I wouldn't even have answered, but I did b/c I mistook the # for a friend's.

I feel honored. They actually did leave a message. Just evidence in court!

I  answered this call, and there was no one there!!!!  I have 'DO NOT CALL" but they still get through.  What can be done??
