Oh, I have gotten calls after 9:00 pm and at least 3-5 times day all hours of the day.  I have emailed them, checked out their website, requested to speak to the marketing dept to ask them to remove my phone # off their calling list...and they said they would do it.  That was back in Oct 2007, and it would take up to 30 days for my # to get removed, and of course they called my phone # again in Dec, Jan, and Feb 2008!  Way longer than 30 days!  They are pesistent telemarketers and I am not interested in whatever they are trying to sell me and I could care less.  They don't abide by consumer requests to be removed from their data base at all.  A sign of a scam....?? Not a good Compnay that's for sure.  They are based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Just got a call at 9:20pm!! How ridiculous.  I called them back and the lady who answered was quite rude. She said they are not telemarketers, its just a company called Chateau World.  When I asked what that was, I got referred to....a telemarketer!!! He said that they work until 9:30pm.  When I said that after 9pm was just rude, he agreed but all he could say was un huh, i agree, but someone must have called, it was rude of them. WTF!

I was called a couple of months ago being told I had not paid my club dues to Chateau World... problem is, I am not, nor have I ever been a member of Chateau World. The guy argued with me until I asked to speak to his supervisor. After 30 seconds or so on hold, the caller came back on the phone and said "Sorry! We called the wrong person!" and then hung up.

The lady called and said she was from Chateau World and was calling in response to an interview I had submitted. SInce I had been submitting various resumes today, I figured I had either heard the name wrong or maybe it was the head office of some place I had applied at. She knew my name and asked to verify both name, age and phone number. I refrained from giving my last name. She then started saying she was putting my name in a draw for a digital camera, and I knew they weren't who I thought they were. Now reading about all these other people they have called, I hope this is the first and the last time they call me but somehow I doubt it.

I went to a thing about Chateau World. They told me that I had won a digital camera and a free trip to the Banff Gate Mountain Lodge & Spa in Canmore. My wife and I signed up as Chateau World members because it looked pretty good to us.

They told us that in Alberta there are laws that allow a person to cancel their membership within 10 days if they changed their minds and that if we did that, we would receive a full refund. Well, we signed up because we felt we still had time to make the final decision.

We changed our minds because when we got home, we went on the internet and found out that the addresses for Chateau World are the same as they are for Royal Club International- a company that is up on criminal charges!

The companies that are associated with the owner Andre Muran are all tied into Chateau World and it seemed to us, after checking it out, that we didn't want to be part of that. So we called to cancel. Well guess what!? We have been trying to get our refund and at first they just lead us on but now they just ignore our calls!

We will be lodging a complaint with Alberta Government Services. If anyone else finds themselves in a similar position, that travelclubscams.info website has links to all the helpful agencies.

Take it from someone with experience- you want to stay away from Chateau World!

I got a phone call from these people calling themselves Chateau World, the phone id came up as RCR LTDMKTG one time and RCR LTDCLUB another time. They told me I won a two day vacation in either Banff or Canmore and a digital camera. At first I didnt think much of it being a scam cause I had just attended a trade show and entered in quite a few draws. Then they started calling me at 9 at night and 7 in the morning asking me when I was coming to get my prize and verifying I was coming and that I knew the addy. I started to get suspicious so I found this website and confirmed my suspicions.I was supposed to go there tonight, and I just phoned them and told them I would not be able to make it because they were a big scam! And please not to call me ever again, I know they will call cause thats what telemarketers do, so at that time Ill contact Telus.

Stay away from Chateau World they have been charged with over 400 criminal charges relating to fraud and stealing peoples money.  Their owners live in million dollar homes and drive mercedes cars, and pretend that they are poor so they can steal from the employees.  They do not honour their promises to pay their staff, withhold bonus payments saying they have no money and bounce their payroll cheques.

Have not stopped calling me.  I asked 3 months ago to be put on their no call list.  They are short, rude and would seem like they are using fake  names when I call the number.  Do es anyone know what is the real name.  What can I do to stop this?  Who is behind these calls.

I was employeed with chateau for a brief month and during that month I was not paid at all it took me about 2 months to be paid and when I was paid it was not even for the correct amount and oh yeah did I mention the pay cheque that they finally gave me bounched! If they have done this to a former employee think of what they will do to you a member ! BEWARE- that company is a farce

if they have thousands of complaints, can they not do something about them.  these companies are bothering us every week for the scam and they should be put in jail.

Call your local BBB and file a report.  Also call Alberta Government Services.  The company is a bad apple that makes millions of calls a year and does not care.

I called Telus for three weeks.  They told me that they have thousands of complaints against this company and they would report them.  The company is called Royal Crown Resort.  When I call the number back they say they are Chateau World.  When I call again they say they are Banff Gate.  The phone says RCR Lidclub and SUNCATCHERSVCLB.  WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE???  Why does the caller id say different things? Now they have began calling on my cell phone.  Can nobody stop them?

RCR Lidclub on my display on phone. They call me about 3-4 times a day.  They said my husband filled out a draw at the Home and Garden Show.  He wanted to verify our last name and how much money we make a year. Said he will put our names in a draw for a vacation.

can get your phone provider to call on your behalf. That way its documented. Then if they still call, can be fined.

I can not understand why Chateau World will not take my number from their call list!!!! Asked for me by name and has been calling for several months. Thing is, I haven't lived there for 13 years. They won't leave a message. Imagine that.
STOP HARASSING PEOPLE

Name went into a draw a couple of years ago at car show in Edmonton.  Attended Chateau World sales pitch and declined to buy in. Have been getting repeated calls ever since, even as early as 0700.  Hang-ups and handing off phone to toddler haven't dissuaded them from harassing us.

So I spoke to Donna...when I called Chateau world back today requesting to be taken off their calling list.  A live person answered the phone @ 780-944-1546 and she said she will remove and delete our phone # from their database.  I told her we have requested to be removed since Oct 2007 and was advised it would take 30 business days to remove my #, and I said well Oct 4, 2007...is more than 30 days as today is Jan 16, 2008!  Donna the agent...or CSR has informed me that she will remove the # tonight to if there are further calls to say that person is not there, wrong #.

Again after asking this company chateau World to be removed off the list do not call....in Oct 2007 and even before this.  Today no big surprise Chateau World has called again @ 4:26 pm today leaves no message...obviously not important.  This company will call day and night.

I got a call from them.  Ran to the phone but just missed it.  No message.  I googled the number and found this site.

Again received a call @ 8:15 pm from Chateau World, no message left and I have called their Head office in Edmonton to ask repeatly to be removed from their phone list and again getting calls from this # day and night. Annoying none the less, and we never pick up.

Received a call form this # today @ 7:40 pm in AB.  I had never contacted them, nor applied for for a job there....didn't know who they were, and the lady did identify herself from Chateau World???  I said who?? Who is this??  I don't know you and I think you have the wrong #...and please remove this phone # from your list.  Annoying!!!  I don't need this silly job, as I hate telelmarketers and would never do such an absurd thing.

My call display says 'SUNCATCHERSVCLB'.  I have received 3 calls over the last week from this number, but have been unable to answer.  This is what I found online...
