Hit me for a total of $222. could not get it stopped after the first call. What a pain!

we have 37$ monthly charges on our card even though we never signed up for anything. turned out there were four separate names using my charge card! none of the names were mine or anyone in our family. dealing with it now.

You should also report them to the BBB. This is ridiculous that this many of us have had unauthorized charges from them. I filed with BBB online and its really easy. As you pointed out, this scam appears to be easy enough to pull off. And if we don't take action beyond demanding refunds, they will CONTINUE to do it. For however many of us that notice it on our bills, how many people don't and they get to keep all that money they are scamming from people. Like you, I had the new number 877-227-3115. They probably changed it because of all the calls for refunds.

Matthew, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Its really easy to do online. I did it in minutes - which is a fraction of the time I spent on the phone with my bank closing my account and reporting the charges and trying to get a hold of someone at Care.com

This number only redirects you to another number or to leave a message. Neither allows you to speak to an actual person and nobody will return your call or email. I've left 3 mesages on each and never can find an option to speak to a real person. What kind of customer service is that?

This service Care.com has been making unaithorized charges to my debit card for 1 year! I searched for a babysitter 1 year ago and subscribed for their service. Then I found one on Craigslist. I called and canceled the Care.com serive. However, they continued to make charges apparently. I noticed the charge only today and called my bank. Care.com is conveniently closed on the weekends. They are defrauding people like it is 2x2. We need to attarct attention to this deceitful business.

My wife and I have seen a similar *UNAUTHORIZED* $35 dollar charge from CCI*CARE.COM, but the phone number is 877-227-3115 instead of the number here.  If this is a scam, it appears to be something easy to do and easy to "get away with" because we haven't been called/contacted/accessed weird websites or anything that we can tell.  It is possible that identity theft is going on here, but at this point, I don't know anything else.

Got a very prompt and professional response and was refunded $205 per my request. Very pleased and will continue to recommend this company and use myself as needed.

Same charges for me since June 2011. Unfortunately I just caught. I emailed their customer care and demanded a full refund or I would notify my bank, bbb, and seek legal council if warranted. They say they will get back to me in 1 business day.

I had a charge on my debit card for $35.00. Im currently on hold and have been #9 for quite some time. I will report this to my credit card company. This is a bogus scam!!! If any one has the attorney generals phone number or suggestions to file a complaint please forward them to me.

This charge is a fee for using the babysitter posting service called Care.com. It was a legitimate charge for us. It showed up as CCI*care.com

Maybe this is Care.com, a caregivers' service?

I also have the same POS charges (and recurring) on my bank statement.  Don't have any idea where this is coming from.  How can we find out?

I just got a bank statement with a $60 charge from a CCI*CARE.COM. Have no idea.Have you leaned anything about this?

cci*care has charged my credit card $140 and i dont know what it is for.  very frustrating.  from the responses on here sounds like a scam is they are so willing to refund the amount soon as you catch them.  I have had issus with companies like this in the past where one comapny will sell your account to another so its a revolving doors of opening and closing accounts.  you call them and they close the account that they sold but its still an open account with another shell company.

I too am a victim.  Couple things could be happening.  Daughter is signed up with Care.com as a caregiver.  Someone (external or internal) has stolen all the credit card numbers in the system and started to post charges to a fake vendor using CCI*Care.com (thinking people will ignore seeing Care.com).  Another possibility is that Care.com has a screwed up system that is accidently billing the wrong credit card numbers for services.  It is interesting that this began right after an $8 annual background check was posted to my card (legitimate for caregiver backgrounds who are members of Care.com), then $20 was charged in the same month and another $20 in the next month.

I too have had 3 $35.00 charges against my credit card.  Called the number and they will refund all 3 charges.

I have a recurring debit card charge listed on my bank statement for $35.00. I did not authorize on-going payments for this account. THE ACCOUNT IS CLOSED. I've been advised that if any further charges are made to my bank account the Bank will notify FRAUD SERVICES.. AGAIN....The account with CCI*Care is a closed account.

They aren't really a scam, the 30.-35 charges are what they charge for premium memberships, I think someone has gotten a hold of your credit card information....and if its something as low as $8 thats what it charges for a backround check

I am posting this in response to people who had miscellaneous charges on their credit card account. I callled the number listed next to my charge, followed the prompt, was connected with a member care employee and issued a refund.

I have had 3 unauthorized charges of $35.00 to my credit card and there is no response to the number provided on 781 642 5900. The recorded message says - "the customer service team is attending team building exercises to provide better customer service". I strongly suspect there is a fraud here!

I have had 4 charges of 35.00 each deducted from my checking account.  Never heard of these people.  Never had phone calls from the 781-642-5900 number.  Although, this is the number on my bank statement.  Giving them a call.

i saw a charge to my account from cci*care.com with this number-the charge was for 35.00. i called the customer service number and no rep was available, so i emailed them at their website to refund me and close my account. this account should have been closed a long time ago.

never heard of these people. $30.00 unauthorized charge to checking. think a call to atty gen might help?
