Received call (sounded computerized) on 1100 OCT 25 that a "3rd party had tried to access my XXX account and contact security if unauthorized". Then the call ended. Timing was suspicious + there is no XXX at which I have accounts.

I received the same from Southeastern Credit call Sunday, Nov. 2 and Monday, Nov. 3. Different numbers showed up on the called ID each time. I called the number back that showed up on the caller ID on Sunday(416-848-7555) and it was a residence in Canada. I called the number back that showed up on the called ID on Monday(786-871-2500) and all I got was a fast busy signal. A couple of people I work with also got the call, one of them got it at 12:30AM Sunday. I called the better busisness bureau and while I was on hold it was playing recorded messages, tips, etc. I got the tail end of one of them talking about phone scams that somehow they tap into your phone line and can have international calls billed to your phone number. Not sure if that is what this is part of or not, but in this day and time anything is possible!!!!

I received the same call at 10:32 p.m. on Nov. 2, 2008. A recording with ladies voice said they believed a third party had gotten info. about my Southeastern Credit Union credit card and it would be temporarily frozen and to press 1 to speak to rep. I hung up b/c I don't have a credit card from that credit union. They need to be stopped!! I tried calling the # and it was busy. They need to get a life and make an honest living!

I think they are hoping that they can get the adrenaline pumping in a half alseep person by calling at uncommon hours. The scammers need a good beat-down.

This is an attempt to "phish" your information from your card at any financial instituion! Do not give or key in any information!
It is an automatic dialing system that will capture the information that you key in on your telephone.

Just got the same call. It's 2:15 AM in KY! Not happy! I didn't give it any information. I kept trying to hit zero to get to a real person. I was planning on chewing them out. Does anyone know if I need to do anything else? Ironically, I just put our number on the National Do Not Call list about 3 hours ago.
