My sister received the same call on Saturday: ?your brother was in accident and needed money?. This scam is planned in Dominican Republic, Punta Cana. They get the information from the hotels there, Be careful please. Do not fall for this scam and not provide personal information at the time of check in.

I received a call from this number today. They told me that my son was in an accident. He was bleeding
from his head and had to go to the hospital. I kept saying what hospital, what hospital and he told me
to send $2500 to western union. He was very believable and even told me to hold on that my son was
trying to talk but couldnt because of the accident. I was in a state of shock. When he finally would not
continue the conversation without talking about the $2500, I hung up on him. i called my son and finally reached him. It was then I realized it was a scam. I continued to call his number back for three hours. i did not do what he wanted me to do. He then said because I did not send the money, that he kiled my son and that he was dead.   I called the police, They came and wrote up a report and told me that alot of people
have been scammed by this number. Dont fall for this scam. If we all know this is the person who called
us, why cant anyone do something.  I just wanted people to know what is going on.It was really scarry!!

Some what the same story but I do not have a brother so he asked why was I lying to him.  I told him that I did not have a brother and that agitated him.  I hung up.  I called back and he made graphic threats on my life and my family's lives.  That he was going to destroy my face and put a gun in my mouth and kill me.

Also got this call of "my brother accident". Called 911 an reported this caller. How can this go on for so long without the Feds getting this criminal? Why can't they get the number terminated at the phone company? (at least running this scam for 60 days with the same phone number). Someone mentioned the guy even picked up when he called!

A guy called me with the same story.  I was really scared and I thank God that was no real. He said my brother  had been in a hit and run car accident and that his brother followed him and was keeping my brother hostage until I paid him for damages of $ 2000.00. He wanted me to send money via Western Union. I called the police and they said they could not track him.  Do no  say your name or any relative name.

This guy called me with the same story.  I was really scared and I thank God that my husband and friends were with me and were able to call my son.  He said my son had been in a hit and run car accident and that his brother followed him and was keeping my son hostage until I paid him for damages.  I even heard people screaming in the background.  He wanted me to send money via Western Union. I called the police and they said they could not track him.  What a scumbag.  What goes around comes around...one day he will get what he deserves. This person has no soul.

I just received the same call, claiming my brother was in an accident and was being help captive.  Trick is dont give them a name, let them give you their name.  I called back he actually picked up and I had a nice exchange of words with him. The guy is Puertorican.

I just got the same call. That my brother was hit by a bike and that his brother wanted to kill him if I didn't pay $500.

We just received a call from this number.  My stepdaughter was called and told her brother was in an accident.  She gave them my number and I told the guy off and hung up.  He said he was Edgar

THEY JUST CALLED ME TOOO

Caller said my brother was in an accident and ran into his bike that he kidnapped my brother and that we needed to pay him $2000 as ransom and if we didn't pay him the $$ that he will kill him. I called the police department and they said it was a scam.
