guys airtel can be sued for harassment and over charging and any litigation in the consumer forum redressal court, for bangalore guys, you can go to 4th floor of Cauvery Bhawan in Majestic and file a complaint, the fee is just Rs.100/- you need to compose a complaint on a white sheet along with all the bills and other documents which you have, take a DD for Rs.100/- walk up to the 4th floor in Cauvery bhavan, the officials there are very helpful and once you have filed the complaint, you will have to followup for the hearings, a final judgement will be given in 3 hearings maximum. you need to ensure you collect the order copy.

very first i aim very thankfull to u peple, I was bit worried abt this because even i had recieved  the same call from Ananda Mishra from Delhi , He said we are going to file case against u in Delhi HC today if not pay the bill, as I was unware of all this thing really i taken back and told him that ok I didnot know abt this , so I will go check it out in the airtel office in jayangar, banglore ( I am staying in bangalore) .Becasue i stoped using internet since one and half year. I gave one adv name and his nomber  ( Randheer singh).

Same S*** happened to me today money, this guy was so rude, he named himself and Ranjit singh and verfication call, he dint give any details and provide Alok Sharma number, they forgot that I myself am a criminal lawyer, caught them, they said the case is already in high court and there is hearing, whereas this dumb Alok Sharma confirmed that they would now file case, if i dint pay and i would get notice, they themselves are fraud and so is Airtel when they billed me 4000 due to their staff error and asking me to pay  why should i pay for their human error.do not entertain such calls highcourt doesnt run cases for 2k to 3k please guys .

Hi.. I got a call from the same person saying as verification officer from gwalior high court.. n he gave me some reference number LM 506.. and didnt give me complete information saying that i'm not authorized.. when i called alok sharma(8085824459) he told me not to call him on that number...

next day, i tried searching my case number online.. i didn't find my case number for last 5 days.. and no case file number didnt start with LM".. i assumed this is a fake call or (rowdy) collection department of airtel...

dont bother and dont give ur correct address to anybody (unknown callers)... they might not be police but may be collection agents (rowdys)

The same happended to me today and I got the call in the same way as other did.Earlier I had got a call from some courier saying if my address was correct. Please let me know whom should I contact.

I took an internet connection 3 yrs back and closed it before around 1.5 yrs - 2 yrs. Today I got a call from (9981708022 - Arjun Singh) claiming that he is calling from Gwalior High Court and informed that they are going to file a case against me and told me to contact the advocate (9981710256 - Alok Sharma) to know more about it. They also told me to appear in the court today in the afternoon. I talked to them boldly and I had a doubt that they are not from HC or legal dept/advocate. They also told that I have to pay 50000/- as penalty. It is not possible according to Indian law. You can pay only 5000 and get bail for criminals. Probably they are from collection dept. Just talk to them boldly and ignore them. Tell them that you have already paid your bills and tell them to do whatever they want.

I was called by Mr. Ranjit Singh (09981710256) on 22nd March 2012 stating that a legal case is being filed and to contact Mr. Alok Sharma and my case number is LM 501 . I contacted Alok Sharma (09981708022) - he said asked his boys to get the file and told me that I have to pay Rs. 53000 as fine to airtel phone number which I am due. To my knowledge I have cleared all the dues and also obtained a no due certificate - so what is this. after two days when i searched the net I found this website so many friends. we should screw thsi alok sharma who is creating tensions in us

Customer can and SHOULD Insist on 'No Due Certificate' before final settlement.

I learnt it the hard way during an earlier credit card negotiation and now I make it a practice for asking that letter during every settlement. Be it for credit card, Telephone, internet or any other service.

1. First I got a call from someone claiming to be a courier company asking for my current address.

2. I got the same call from 9981708022 claiming to be Ranjit Singh (Verification officer of Gwalior High Court).

3. Caller asked me to contact Advocate Alok Sharma who has filed case against me under IPC section 420 B, Case number LM501.

3. Facts - I had done settlement with Airtel over their excess billing even after I had disconnected their internet service. I had insisted on 'No Due Certificate' and have received copy of the same mentioning the matter was settled. I had made payment by cheque so there is also proof of payment.

4. Airtel initially said they do not issue 'No due Certificate', however I insisted on that and said i will not pay unless they issue me the same.

I am planning to ignore the extortion call unless they call again. In which case I will file a case against both Airtel and their Collection agent Alok sharma.

I got the same call today from a guy called ranjit singh,9179996572 asking me to talk to alok sharma 8085824459.these airtel guys want me to pay 6500/- after disconnecting my connection.Airtel using cheap tricks to take away our hard earned money.he called me at 12pm and said if i can clear the bill by 1:30pm and send the scanned docs to LEGAL3@LIVE.IN he can stop the legal process.shame on airtel.

I got a similar call today from 7830995199, He said he has already submitted my file to court.

I said i dont care. I have already shifted my house.

Let me me who who receives the legal notice !!!.

First time the guy said he was from gawalior and now he said he is from delhi... I don't understand if i airtel thinks i have not paid bill in bangalore (karnataka) why are they filling case in delhi court. Why don't they just say case is filed in NY or LA, isn't that too far to reach.

This guy things i owe air tel 5000 rs. I used airtel for almost 3 years and paid my bill on time. I filled a request to disconnect my connection in nov 2010 but for some reason they said they never received it. And since then they are chasing me for this extra 5000 in this period i have not used the internet.

It's long torture this guy has done.

This is not possible. If bill is pending from Karnataka region, case cannot go to Gwalior court in any case. Not possible. Fake call - generally recovery agent do this.

Same happened with me. This first guy called from 8602800646 and told me he is calling from Gwalior court and told me that I have to attend the court at Gwalior and I have some case filed against me. He told me to call Adv. Alok Sharma (Phone - 8269697105) with file number (LM5XX - not sure actually).

I gave a call to Adv Sharma (fake guy) and he told me to wait while he calls my file. Then he told me that Bharti Airtel had filed a case against me due to pending bill of Rs 2800 and I have to attend the Gwalior high court for the same and pay fine if Rs 53000/-.

Immediately 3 questions came to my mind -
1. I had no intimation from lawyer on this. My sister is lawyer and I know that nobody is liable to attend the court without acknowledged notice.
2. Even if there was a case against me, it should not go to High Court first, I should attend session court and later High court comes in to picture.
3. Even if there was a valid case, it cannot be filed in Gwalior, MP as this problem is related to AP region/ city, the case will go to that city's session court first.

I asked this guy, to tell under what IPC section, the case is filed - he said IPC420p. You can know about it at "http://www.vakilno1.com/bareacts/indianpenalcode/s420.htm".

This IPC doesn't talk fine of Rs 53000/- fine at all.

Chill guys, these are nothing but recovery agents. Do not go with them but I recommend you to settle down the payment with Airtel.

Further to my earlier post,
No action had happened for about 2-3 weeks after the  Ranjit singh's call.....
Yesterday I got a call again from a lady at Airtel law department or something she said.
(My issue was that I had disconnected my phone as I changed houses, but these guys continued billing.) I again explained the issue to her and her comment was "ok, would you like to get the same number reconnected back to your new house now!!!!"
I'd say .... guys forget about it, dont worry.... so long as you have paid everything, or there is some genuine mistake from airtel side... etc... nothing will happen. Mind you - none of the Airtel offices will give you a written letter saying they have accepted your request for disconnection and that all dues have been paid. Dont know why....

So nothing to do guys, just check for a better service. Any suggestions?????????

He called saying he is a verification officer from Gwalior high court, Alok Sharma is the lawyer going to put a case under section 420 of IPC...... i asked details why what etc.... he said sorry no details just calling to verify.... and if you want to do something about it, contact the lawyer before he files the case at 4.30 in the evening... I asked how ... he said that's your problem... so i kept the phone.

Buggers ... It seems there is some screwed up communication gap between internal teams of payment collection, billing, law, customer service..... all this resulting in harrassment of customers.

I got a call from 08602800648 from a person who claimed himself to be a verification officer of gwalior court and told that i have to appear in the court for the case file number LM510. He gave 08269697105 as AlokSharma's number and told that he is the advocate. I had not paid 2 months bills for the reason that they have not sent even a single bill to me from the beginning. Alok Sharma told that the case would be filed @ 4.30 if i dont make the payment and send him the scanned copy. What should I do now?

I received a call from ranjit singh from a number +918602800646 giving me a case number and asking me to speak to alok sharma. I understood it is for airtel. So guys could u please tell me what next to do. I dont have a clue

The parcel call happened to me as well. Somebody called and asked me for my address, claiming that there was parcel dispatched to me from Mumbai. Now I realise that it was these hoodlums. I moved office and requested for the shifting of airtel connection to the new premises. The shifting was not done due to lack of feasability(No ports). The bill kept getting generated though. I refused to pay.

Same kind of call. From number 8602800648 asking me to be present in MP Gwalior in a couple of hours at a sessions court. I am from Karnataka.

Hi, I also got a call from this number and they said I have got a 250gms parcel and that was from an insurance company. They asked me to give my personal details and I refused. They later called me and told that someone has filled a case against me in Gwalior court and that its confidential information. they asked me to call some unknown guy and to get the details.
