This number was left on my machine by a "debt collection agency" who called twice from two different numbers.  I get these calls constantly.  Reported them to the FCC but was told they couldn't do anything about debt collection, even though it's clear they are not collectors.  A nice way around the law for these creeps, isn't it?

An automatic message saying this message is from a debt collector agency call 1-800-218-8304 immediately.... I believed this is a SCAM no name . no mentioning of whom they calling ..for sure they are waiting for somebody who will believe them and definetely not me..BEWARE to all of you.

I just received tow of these calls.  I have no debt to anyone other than your typical monthly fees (water, sewage, phone, cable).  I would love to know who this is and how they continue to get away with this type of harassment

They are leaving three to five messages everyday

just on Thu 25 Jun 2008 I found five at: 10:15am 2:37pm, 3:59pm 6:31pm and 7:58pm according to my answer machine.

I just received a call from this number with a rude message stating this is a debt collector.  I have no reason to believe anything is on collections from my part.  I think this is a scam and they should be reported because it sounds more like harrassment than anything else.

I received a call on my answering machine that tells me that it's from a collection agency ... they want me to return the call to this number. I owe no money and they had failed to name the agency, the debt, or even my own name in the message so I suspected a scam.

Actually, I had received an identical message last week with only the number to call different: 866-281-5230. I looked up that number on this website and one of writers said that it comes from Red Line Recovery Service. I looked them up on another website (http://www.budhibbs.com/debtcollectorpages/redline_recovery_services_cmts.htm) and there was a truly terrifying accounting of their collection tactics ... including limitless harassment calls, threats, foul language, etc.

I'm certain that I owe no one and this is a mistake but that wouldn't make me the only victim by mistake if the accounts on that website can be believed. I won't be responding to anonymous calls of this sort. If you DO have a debt and these people are coming after you you'd do well to read the advice given at that site ... several of their tactics are not legal but it will take a while to get any enforcement that might stop them.
