I found a $42.00 unknown charge on my credit card with BoA. I called the customer service they stated that this is for a "billing dispute" and gave me a number to call,  800-457-3693.

The number was an automated system and requested my credit card number which I did not provide. I 've always had issue with BoA. Their business is confusing and annoying.

A: I hate to say it but it is probably never going to get any better. The foundation of a good relationship is trust, if you don't have it from both partners the relationship will eventually crumble. My sister is going through the exact same situation right now with her current boyfriend (the supposed "love of her life") and it infuriates me to no end. She is faithful to a fault. What he puts her through is emotionally abusive and unfair. Always having to defend your integrity and try to convince your significant other that you are not the village bicycle is draining, insulting, and after a while just down right sad. My sister loves this man (lord knows why) but he has a disease that is probably never going to get better. And she is not allowed the freedom of being herself anymore. She constantly has to watch what she says, who she talks about, who she looks at/talks to in public, how she smells and tastes, which is exhausting because he still always finds a way to accuse her. He is deluded. No one should have to pay for the mistakes of someone elses past and as much as you may love him, you should always love yourself more. The man is accusing you of being a liar and a s**t. As ugly as that is to say it is true and it is unbelievably insulting because you are neither. He does not respect you, your independence as a human being, or your privacy, and that is a deal breaker. Find someone who will love and respect you without all the craziness. Stop the maddness and find some peace, your head, heart, and blood pressure will thank you.

Short Answer: You are being called a s**t and a liar!! You should be enraged not reassuring and apologetic. IT IS NOT GOING TO GET BETTER!!! Do you really want to spend the rest of your life constantly defending your integrity? Its not worth it, you will drive yourself mad and end up miserable. You deserve better.

LIKE  DAUGHTER LIKE MOTHER!!!

Jesus, seems like the best solution is to not get married in the first place. What's the point? I have been engaged twice but can never actually go through with it for the exact senarios mentioned above. I don't want to get bored because I will most likely have an affair and I would rather avoinf the whole damn thing. What a fantastic mess we create for ourselves...

I had the very same thing happen to me on my Bank of America VISA Statement. I notified my B of A account about it & they have not done anything as of yet about this charge. I believe it to be a form of a Spam. BE VERY AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM ON YOUR VISA AVVOUNTS WITH B OF A!

My mom flat out refused to take their insurance. They called and said it was free to try. She said "NO" Just to insure that they wouldn't charge her she called them to cancel. She thought it was over.

Three months later, I see deductions from MY account. (on which my mother is able to add funds) I call my bank(BOA) and say at NO time did I authorize this payment.

See that's a trick these people do. Stonebridge life will take money from a joint account and say the "spouse" approved it. I learned this later on when my mom told me her dealings with these frauds.

Recently I received a letter from my Bank saying they were RETURNING the funds to Stoinebridge life, after I said these people were taking my money. When I called my Bank, they said I had received it in error. Sure enough, money was taken from my account, and I called again.

They told me they couldn't solve it easily as the Insurance company had my ACCOUNT and ROUTING numbers. There is only one way they could have gotten this information, since neither myself nor my mother would give it to these assclowns. My bank either has a major fraud within, or this is how Bank of America is choosing to do business. If it is, then they should FAIL.

Oh and side note, every time I receive mail from BOA, it says investigation documents are enclosed. They are not.

Is anyone else up for a class-action lawsuit?

I just noticed this same number recurring on my B of A statement with a $12.95 charge. The person there couldn't help me and referred me to the  phone number next to the charge. When I complained that they do not answer, she referred me to another number for B of A account dispute resolution. Of course there's no one there now but supposedly they'll be there later today.
The number she gave is 1-800-457-3693

I do not recall having received any calls from this number either, but have been being billed $12.95 for the last 15 months.  I just happened to discover this when I took a closer look at my statement this month. A call to the 800 number listed above revealed that the "merchant" is Stonebridge Life Insurance Company. The amount charged was purportedly for Accidental Death and Dismemberment, for which I've neither received nor signed any paperwork.

I've pursued this with the Billing Disputes representative of Bank of America

I just found the same $9.95 charge on my Bank of America statement from June, 2008.  But, I have only one charge from this bogus company.  My goal is to stop this type of activity.  So, I'm going to be asking Bank of America for a refund for the charge and for the interest and finance charges associated with it.  Then, I'm cancelling my Bank of America account all together and moving to a different credit card company.  I'm not going to continue to do business with a company that would allow such fraud.  Either way, they've lost a very good and loyal customer.

I just noticed that the same number is on my Bank of America statement. I have no knowledge of what it is. I called the number and it doesn't give a company name, just to call back between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm.  I have gone back the entire year and realized that I have been paying $9.95 every month, and that now it is Stonebridge Life Insurance. I know who my life insurance carrier is! I will be calling the bank in the morning for sure! Something sounds fishy to me. I can only go back one year on my statements online, but I think I will be digging out my old statements tomorrow.

I don't recall receiving a call from this number, but I am reporting this number because on my Bank of America MasterCard's current online balance I spotted a dubious $9.95 charge billed as "IP*AD&DINS82A91K2088" [a name I don't recognize] with transaction date 1.5.2008. I am sure I never walked out of my apartment that day and never placed any online orders that day, so something had to be wrong. I called Bank of America's billing dispute dept, provided the dubious payment's reference #, and they gave me a phone # purportedly associated with the transaction. That phone # happened to be 1 800 242 5566. I called that phone and I only get an automated operator talking about an insurance plan service from Bank of America and then repeats the same message in Spanish but saying "Banco de America" instead of "Bank of America" (and Bank of America always says "Bank of America" even when talking Spanish), then says that they're out of business hours and cannot attend me. I never ever bought an insurance plan from Bank of America (neither on that 1.5.2008 nor on other date, neither by email, by phone, nor by snail mail).
