So? Why are you here on this site? Why would you search a phone number, click on the link, & post a message here when there is no reason to do so? . . . unless. . .

This is not a scam. They are a college loan company that helps students pay for college while enrolled for school. I live in NC & was able to take out loans through the company. They are not a scam. They could be contacting you to try to find the student that could have a new number or moved since they were in school.

You guys are not the brightest and maybe need a student loan. This is Iowa Student Loan or Aspire Resources. If you dont have a loan then someone may have put you down as a reference and they are trying to get good information about the borrower.
It's not a scam and it doesn't cost anything....do your research before speaking....
Stop running if you own money! They are there to help

This isn't a scam. I have loans through Iowa Student Loan and just received a call from this number. I did 30 seconds of research: went to Google and searched for "Iowa Student Loan", followeed the like to ISL's website and went to the Contact Us page: http://www.studentloan.org/Contact-Us/Contact-Us.aspx
The number that is listed under Customer Service is 1-800-243-7552. Likely you know someone (or someone's kids) who has loans through ISL and have defaulted/haven't been paying.
They left a voicemail with my exact first, middle, and last name and asked that I call them back. I haven't done that yet, but will this afternoon after I leave my office. I'll update this post then.

Total scam!!! Do not give these people any information. Report them immediately so that they can be shut down. Here is the script: Are you ___________ (they give a name CLOSE to yours but with a different middle initial). Then they ask for your address, phone, SS#, etc. I asked for a supervisor and was told that they could NOT take me off their list...some blah-blah about being "obligated" by the federal govt....yada, yada, yada. I told them I was NOT the person they were asking for and to stop calling. The calls have not stopped.

I got a call from this number asking for Beau on the voicemail trying to confirm this is a valid number for Iowa student loans... my name isn't Beau, never went to college in Iowa, and I didn't take any loans while in college... total scam

It is not a scam. My wife has student loans though Iowa Student loans. The one thing about them is that they have called a lot of my relatives asking for my wife. I don't know how they get the numbers but they are as bad as a loan shark. We didn't get a bill one month and they were calling at the end of the billing cycle wondering where their money was at. If you have a relative that has Iowa student loans you will probably get a call from these people. BTW, we only owed 50 dollars to them. They are really super annoying!!!

This company gave me a call the other day. I am a student with student loans, but not in Iowa and do not get my loans through them. I mistakenly gave them my SS# thinking it was my loan company.
They pulled up my name and the first and last name matched but the middle initial did not. Anyway, has anyone heard of there being and fraudulant repercusions due to giving this company their SS#??
Thanks!!!!!!

it is Iowa Student Loan, but they will keep calling you well after you've paid the bill, just to get confirmation that I knew I had paid the bill! ugh.
