called to say they are Medco wanting to give me a better deal on prescriptions - mentioned they work with my insurance company and wanted to verify personal information. I told them to send me the information. I wouldn't give them any information.

They are legit, but it's a pain in the butt. Wont refill prescriptions until they get a confirmation from your doctor. Which is cool and all, but when I'm out, I need it now. It's just easier to have my doctor call it in to the pharmacy and I go pick it up.

It's an auto dialer telling about how Medco can save you money. I called and got to someone very easily where I opted out of all automated calls.

I got 2 calls from this number within a day. On the first call they didn't leave a message and on the second there was a long message as if someone dialed my number in their pocket while at a party.  

Personally, I think that unfamiliar numbers are best left for voice mail to see if they're actually important, especially an 800 number.

they keep calling, I answer, no one there, and if i let it to go answering machine no answer.... this is so annoying! so aggrevating and who is going to verify their birth date over the phone.  If they ever are there when I decide to answer again, I'll tell them a birth day... something 01-01-1888 .... they deserve to have an answer like that!

Called them back. This is MEDCO. My prescription provider. They call 10 times a day. Never leave a VM. They don't speak to you when you answer.
I told them to stop calling me and this type of practice is inapropriate.

it is medco.  they have a new program that lets you have 24 hour access to any of their medical staff for any illnesses/conditions that you may have.   they are also a discounted prescription service.  annoying, yes, that they don't leave a message and call so often..but...they are legit.

calls, even on thanksgiving, calls next day at 10 am, MEDCO.  I hang up on them. Do they ever give up?

These people call several times a day ispurts of a week or two
then lay off for awhile. looks like when they get a hot idea they
blitz their call list. I use software to block their number(s) another is the same but ends with 5705 - there might be more

It does belong to Medco, if you call it, they answer 'Medco Member Services' and put you into their call router.  This is the prescription provider for my company's health care insurer.

But they do telemarket, they want you to let them fulfill all your prescriptions by mail, instead of going to a pharmacy.  It does save 2/3 of the co-pay, probably lowers costs for the insurer, but they should only get to ask once.  Or once a year.  Not every few minutes.  Ugh.

Telling them to stop calling doesn't work for me.  Perhaps complaining to my insurance company will.

I think we could probably assume that whoever posts on here saying the caller really is Medco, is probably part of the scam.

At least 1 call a day for a couple weeks. Answering machine picks up, caller disconnects.

I called Medco, using the number on my ID card, and they confirmed that they have never called me, only sent info via email.

So, I guess that means whoever this is that's calling, is just another one (or several) of those losers.

3:40pm 8/1/09. No message left on answering machine. One caller id sow the number as area code 800, the other one showed 808. Interesting trick.

This number does belong to Medco. They are a legit prescription provider, they work with major insurers. I get medication from them. I have gotten several calls with no message, or hangs up when I answer. When they are filling a script, their machine will leave a message. I spoke with them and let them know that about the calls to my house and that there are other people reporting them. I have dealt with them for a couple of years and, IMO, they are a good company. I think they have an automated dialer that has malfunctioned. Hopefully, they will address this issue.

Caller hung up before ans machine finished it's announcement.

Rec'd call yesterday, he claimed to be from Medco and wanted me to verify DOB and address, which I refused to do. Oh yeah, guess what the caller ID on my wife's cell phone only show 1-800-268-570. Is that legal?

There's never anyone there when I answer calls from this number.

They said they were from Merk Medco and wanted to review my perscriptions. They seemed to know in general what they were talking about,but I still have a hard time beleiving they were for real so I told them nothing. I am going to report this call to Merk.

10-31-08 12:35pm - Called many times - I let it go to the answering machine - didn't leave a message.

Third call from this # stating he was from Medco in reference to Prescriptions.  I told him the number he was calling from did not belong to Medco and if he called again, he would be locked up.  He said OK and hung up.

This is  Scam to get your personal information.  Do not give any info over the phone.
