Per my previous blog, the number may be from Maverick Marketing at 718-535-3414.  I believe one of their reps uses the 800-307-1999 number to harass people with daily calls.  It already happened to me.  I put both numbers in the DO NOT CALL list with the govt. and I haven't gotten any calls (so far!).  The 718 number is legit.

calls several times a week. keep hanging up when i answer. harrassment!

They've been calling me about the same time every day too, and it's my home office number and I'm in the middle of work and no message. Has to be telemarketer. I don't owe anyone any money. I guess I'll just have to try answering the next time and ask some very probing questions. I am on the do not call list so they're violating the law if they're soliciting. Let me know if you find out anything too.

have received three calls in the last 4 days from this number, they claim I requested this information to work from home and it's Amazon. I told the guy don't call me again and he had the nerve to say "then don't give your number out to companies you information from" I said "are you serious" he said "I can tell you how to stop getting calls, you will have to call the company you gave your phone number to and they will stop giving it out"  and then hung up..........Un Freakin believable....

I just got a call and said I sign up to work from home on some web site.  This was my business line, go figure.... And she used my first name like she knew me.  It is only going to get worse as the internet grows, our info is easier to get and the economy continues to tank.

Got a call from the same guy.  I recognized his voice.  He asked for my wife again and I asked what it was regarding and he hung up!  This time, though, he made a mistake!!  My ID caller came up with the number 718-535-3414 and I talked to a lady by the name of Amanda.  The company is Maverick Marketing.  And appropriately so as I had stated to her because there was some SOB who kept calling my number with an 800 number that is not in service and this time he hung up on me.  She said she will have it investigated.    I will enter this number in the DO NOT CALL LIST with the govt. and see what happens.  If you all continue to get calls from the 800-307-1999 then you might contact the other number above.  Good luck!!

They call excessively most days.  I called the number back & their message says it's "no longer in service.".   As soon as my donotcall registry reaches 31 days I'll report them.

Just got a call from the same number. Ya I googled myself and found that my cell number is exposed on the Internet ....I don't know who they are but I know it's crooked s***.

This guy keeps calling and asking for my wife and is trying to get her into a home business.  This has been ongoing for at least the past couple weeks with a daily call that we don't bother to answer even though he has been told she was not interested.  He is persistent.  We called the number but it is not in service.  I decided to answer the call today and sure enough it was the same guy's voice.  I immediately gave him a rash of expletives and he got caught off guard and hung up right away..  I hope he got the message!  No matter, I am going to see it this company can be found and reported to the proper govt agency.  Yeah, good luck with that!!

I'm getting calls from several telemarkters and I found if I don't answer (their number comes up on the screen) the calls stop after a couple of days

And how is President Tim, pray tell, going to enforce the DoNotCall Registry when big business will fight him every step of the way? Big business fought the creation of the DoNotCall Registry (sob... jobs will be lost!) and we're lucky to even have the Registry today. Big business will fight President Tim tooth and nail to further restrict telemarketing.

The DoNotCall Registry works on voluntary compliance like speed limit signs on highways. Honest telemarketers honor the Registry, abusive telemarketers and scammers do not. Just like it's impossible to catch every speeder on the highway, it's impossible to stop every scammer or abusive telemarketer. You're supposed to report abuse -- have you? Do you have the telemarketer's real number or did the telemarketer send a fake number to your CallerID as so many are doing today? Do you not understand that strict enforcement of the DoNotCall Registry is impossible with present telephone technology?

Yeah, same story here. The guy said he was from amazon finance and wanted to help my familys financial needs. However when I said 'no thank you" he said "Stay Broke, Man". That was the funniest thing I've heard in months. I gotta hand it to this guy, he wanted to say that to someone since he started working with that fraudulate company. Say that to my face, M***** F***** :)))

I've been getting calls from this number for the past three weeks. When you call the # it has been disconnected.

I just press talk and put the phone down.... let them pay for the call.

This number keeps calling but when answered no one answers tried calling to tell them to stop calling but says number is no longer in service?

I got a call from this number and they said it was for a company called Streamline Online.

I decided to answer it and it was a woman who said I had signed up to work from home on an online website. I defiantly haven't signed up for anything like that. Asked her to remove me from the call list and she hung up on me. Internet sucks.

I keep getting this #800-307-1999 calling me too, never leaves a voice mail. However I will not answer it.

The DO NOT CALL that is supposed to be enforced by our government is a JOKE.

Of course these days, the government is a JOKE!!!

I think it is a roofing company calling areas where there was possible storm damage.  Telemarketing for roofers is bad...so are the sales people that will show up at your door.
