This is correct--it is a number for the GE Credit Card Services Fraud Division, and I might add, they just helped me out tremendously. Numerous, obvious false charges were placed on my card early this a.m., unbeknownst to me--the company rejected them at the onset. I live in the U.S. and these were spurious, multiple charges (i.e. $21,$84, $168. etc) acquired in Brazil. I'm now in the process of getting new cards. If you get a call from this number, either call it (or better, the number on the back of your card)--you'll be glad you did.

This is the fraud prevention number for GE Capital, which services a few retail store credit cards. Our call was regarding a Toys R Us purchase. It's an automated system and is used to confirm that activity on your credit card was not fraudulent.

they called and said they were my bank and that there were fradulent charges on my card. instead of calling the number that they gave me i called the number on the back of my card and my bank assured me everything was fine and that they did not call. they listed off my charges and everything was fine.
i wonder what country this 1800 number is from.
