Received a call 1/5 at 11:14 a.m. Rang 4-5 times.  No message.

1-7-08 ~ Received several calls from 1-800-331-6512 in the last few days.  When you answer the phone they will not respond and they then disconnect you.  When I call their number I get an automated message.  It tells you that it is service for making charitable calls and that you can be added to their do not call list.  They also mention that they are exempt from the do not call registry.  They ask for you to leave a NAME and number.  I don't like the idea of leaving my name to any company that can't answer bleepin' phone when they called ME!  Sounds fishy to me.  I am on the do not call list.  I added my number to "their" list.  We'll see what happens next.

I recvd a call at 2 AM I am travelling overseas. The problem is that every such prank call costs me $2.69 each time I answer. So what is the point of carrying a cell phone ?

Got 2 calls from this number in the last day. I am always online when the calls come in. I have not yet had a chance to answer the call.

This is very annoying - they keep calling our phone number and either hanging up or asking for my husband.  If I say he isn't in right now they hang up on me.  They don't ever leave a meassage on the answering machine.

called 6:59pm, after 3 rings, I answer and no one is there.  I say hello 3 times, and there is no reply.  I  hang up after this.  My husband said they have called numerous times in the past couple of days and never leave a message.

Sunday morning 6/14/08,10:05AM EDST "Direct Tel Inc" in the caller ID window. I didn't pick up and "they" didn't leave message.

The company name the recording gives is "customer servicer line for Direct Tel".  They made me mad enough to get online and check them out!!  This type of harrassemnt should be illegal!

I received a call when I was unable to come to the phone.  My answering machine message played, but there was no message.  I dialed *69 and was told that 1-800-331-6512 was my last caller.  "Dial 1 to call back".  I dialed 1 and was told that this number could not be reached this way.  I put the number in my Google search and was directed to this site.

I tried to call 1-800-331-6512 and got a recording.

Just how do we stop this crap? They leave no message and I can't call back.  If I could get a e-mail address I could put a stop to their crap.  A ping message will correct that problem.   Ok I feel better now. Just had to vent.  Time to land this 747.  Good luck to all.

These b*****ds have called several times before. They let it ring four times-which is where most answering machines kick in-and then hang up, frustratingly usually when you have picked up the phone and answered it. I am very, very angry about this as I am disabled and the maladies from which I suffer cause me to get very little sleep, a few minutes at a time. The awaken me, breaking the few precious minutes of sleep I might have had.
I called them back at that number and they have a recorded message, allowing you to leave your name and number for their own do not call list.
If they do this much more, I am going to find a way to have my computer call them every minute for a few weeks and see if they like it as well as I like their calling me.

Number for a charitable donation that is protected from the Do Not Call list due to being a non profit organization. Calls received before 8am and well after 9pm. Very annoying and rules should be changed regarding these non-profit organizations.

Called last night at 7 pm, no name provided. They hung up before the obligatory 4 rings before it goes to voice mail. If they don't identify themselves, I don't answer anymore. I receive so many 1-800 phone calls that it borders on harrassment.
