I do owe them money and i understand why they are calling. I am behind a couple months because i had to get custody of my Grandchildren. I still had to work and Daycare took up most of my pay. I want to pay them i just don't know how to get the money right now. They just want paid...they gave us the loan when we needed it so i need to pay them. This is my 3rd Mortgage. 1st and second are up to date. Now working on this one!

If you have call forwarding features (like on Verizon Digital Voice), than forward this jerk to 717-338-2533.  That's the FCC Director's office phone.  Maybe the FCC will finally do their job when they start getting the annoying calls.

Never lend money you don't have, especially when you're not sure if the one you're lending it to will be able to pay it back. I'm not a financial genius, like lenders should be, but I get this at least. Ain't nobody bailing me out, that's all I know.

I was told to NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER do a loan modification, especially with these people.  All it does is gives you a lower payment for a short amount of time (trial period, let's say 6 months), but when this period is over they mortgage company can come to you and tell you that you now owe them the difference between the lower payment and your regular payment for the time of your trial period. (1800 regular mortgage - 1500 monthly trial = 300 difference; 300 difference x 6 months = 1800). So now that your trial period is over, you not only have to come up with your 1800 monthly mortgage, you also have to come up with the 1800 difference, and sometimes they even want you to pay any back payments, or they will add the missed payments to the end of your mortgage.  So, if you were having trouble making your mortgage payments in the first place, I am sure you don't have 3600 laying around to pay the mortgage company when the trial period is up.

I was laid off three months ago and have been unable to make my mortgage payments, car payments, etc.  I was told by my attorney to file for bankruptcy.  You get to stay in your home for 6-9 months until you get a foreclosure date, you don't make mortgage payments, save up that money.  Rent an apartment or house for two years or so and then buy something again.  My sister filed for bankruptcy 2 years ago and she now has a 750 credit rating, when she filed it was 450.  Absolutely amazing isn't it.  This option isn't for everyone, and is not advice that should be taken lightly, please speak to an attorney for laws in your state.  As soon as you get a bankruptcy attorney, you forward all calls from mortgage company and creditors to him/her.  They must stop calling you at that time.

Good luck, I know where you stand, I get these calls at all hours.

We also have received numerous automated calls to our home phone, some as early as 7:30am
when w it we try to call back we get a 'white noise' sound as though a computer was trying to talk
to another computer. We made a modification agreement on our mortgage, they took $750
out of my checking account, never applied it to a modification, then told us we never had been
approved for a modification. They lied as I had all the names and dates we spoke and letters we
had received that they later denied sending. They are the collection arm for HSBC, HFC and Beneficial Finance and are just about the rudest people I have ever had to deal with over the
phone in my 62 years. I asked if I could send the difference between that $750 they already
had and add it to it so it added up to a trial payment. They said "no" that money will eventually
be applied to the principle. I never authorized they do this but they never listen to me. I'd love
to sue anyone want to start a 'Class Action Lawsuit' against HSBC?

This is a case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. When you apply for a mortgage modification, before the modification is complete, you show up on their collections list. HSBC? Beneficial does not notify their collections arm that you are making payments towards modification so they try to collect what they believe is a "past due".

This is the 2nd modification I have gone through with these people, the first being for only 6 months. Once the modification is complete, the phone calls stopped. Hoping they stop again this time.. extremely annoying!

when i answered the call they stated they were beneficial finance.i said no you are not you are a collection agency because we have tried to reach beneficial finance and there are no branch offices anymore.the only one left is in brandon and all they do is collect payments and won't speak to anyone.we have a lawyer looking into this matter, because no one at beneficial can produce the documents that show we have a mortgage with them...also,they were told not to contact us any longer and to contact our attorney that has written several letters asking for documents and to cease and desist harassing us.they said they have never gotten any letters and we need to make a payment.when we made payments(long ago) they posted them to another account and kept harassing us for non payment.the local branch office manager called and told them he had our canceled  checks and they still said we owed money that was already paid.beneficial was and is a rip off company.they kept calling demanding payment.i told them that no payment would be made until they posted the prior payments to our account.they said there were no prior payments and we owed 3-4 back payments.i could go on,but you get the picture . thanks for letting me vent...good luck to you and all who deal with beneficial

But, just out of curiosity, I called the number back -- and it was answered "HFC Beneficial."  I didn't go through all of the menus to see why they caled.

I have been having the same call everyday, 7 days a week.  Try registering on the National Do Not Call Registry.  This way you can not only stop these harassing calls, but you can report them if they do not stop.  Hope it helps.
