I got a call from this number today: 832-604-5129. I answered and the lady at the other end asked me for a friend I had not seen in 4 yrs. I asked the lady here name. She went onto tell me my friend had applied for a job with National Enterprise and she was using me as a reference. In addition, when she tried to call my old friend, her number was disconnected. Of course, I got suspicious and told her I had no idea of what she was calling about and could not give a reference. You see, while she was talking and giving me her contact number, I was googling it and found this site reporting these scums. I told her if I ever saw my friend again, I would give her the message but I don't know where she moved. Even if I did know, this is awful tactics, calling old friends. How bizarre! And unprofessional. I hung up the phone and called this NINA DUNN lady back at 800-337-6556 ext 1589. I told her not to call me again asking for other people's phone numbers and she then had the nerve to ask me if I knew my friend's parents and their contact details. I told her NO and do not call me again. Wow! Scrupulous and against the privacy acts of people. Stay away from these creepy, unethical jerks.

I screen my calls, and no number shows up on the caller ID.  The caller will hang up and call back right away, sometimes more than once.  On the third or fourth time, they will leave messages to call them back at 1-800-337-6556.

I've recieved several calls from this number saying it is urgent that I call them back. The message says "This is Mike Morgan with National Enterprises, please return this call, it is urgent that you call me back at 18003376556..." but he never says what I'm calling him for. Is this a scam?

I recently worked at this horrible place. National Enterprise Systems is the collection agency from hell. It's the devil's worst nightmare. Employees are trained to collect according to the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act but once on the floor in their respective departments collectors are told to forget everything they learned.

My supervisor, Bryan Howard under the alias of Paul Stevens, regularly provided a second voice to collectors having trouble closing collections. This idiot would identify himself to callers as a federal agent, an NES attorney, etc., anything to try to scare the debtor into paying. He would actually tell debtors and their spouses that a lawsuit had been filed and if the account is not paid by postdated check by a certain time that day a deputy of the court was coming to serve the debtor on his job. I witness this on a daily basis all day long. B. Howard is neither a federal agent, attorney nor any of the other things he claims to be and NES don't sue debtors. All are clear violations of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.

Debtors are talked to as if they're inhuman. Even when the debtor is not home the person taking the message is treated like dirt. I will never forgot my supervisor shouting at an 81 year old African-American woman for not getting a pen and paper to take the message. "I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE 81 YEARS OLD HE SCREAMED AT THE WOMAN." I've witness collectors hollering at kids "GO GET YOUR FATHER."

You are not supposed to talk to spouses—in certain states--about their significant others’ debt unless given permission by the spouse to do so. This rule is ignored at NES. In fact when I left training I put the document about the spouse rule on my cubicle wall to reference only to have it snatched and trashed by Bryan Howard who said I wouldn’t need it.

The owners Ernest Pollack, his wife, and two sons: Scott and pie-faced Chris are well aware of what is going on. These people are hands on owners. They constantly walk the call room floors, note the individual collectors and group collection sales and hear all the violations first hand. The more a collector screams at a debtor the more they like it. People actually clap and cheer when a collector goes off on a debtor. All that concerns these greedy money grabbers  is how much money they are collecting at any given time.

Payments are demanded in full although they do offer settlements that are too demanded in full. Money orders and mail-in payments are not accepted, only postdated checks over-the-phone or Western Union Transfers for Citi Bank accounts. Some other creditors do allow NES to also take payment by credit card. For the postdated checks debtors are asked to give their accounting and routing numbers. NES, the scumbags they are, attempts to take the money out before the postdate. Nice company huh!

Collectors and supervisors once provided with bank info by the debtor call banks automated customer service numbers to obtain how much money they have in their accounts. We have their social security numbers so getting info this way is like taking candy from a baby. Some banks have safeguards against this and required you talk to a live person. They also work this wickedness on debtors’ credit card accounts or the credit card accounts of the debtors’ spouse, mother, father, etc. I remember one collector on the phone with a debtor saying “Your Mother Has $7,000 On Her Card She Can Use;” She Can Pay This Debt For You!”

If anyone needs someone who's "been there" in any of their legal actions against this despicable company I’m your guy.

I keep getting a recorded message from Mike Morgan at my place of business, stating that we need to settle a business resolution, then gives the phone number 1-800-337-6556. After reading the comments made about this company, I think they're after an employee that was fired last year. How do I stop these calls? They're wasting valuable company time.

They keep calling me and harassing me. My debt only started in November, its July. I know it bad not to pay, but when you don't have the money, you don't have the money.

I know they are just a collection agency, but they are really scaring me.  I have never had debt issues until this past winter.  I have my own business and times have been tough.  Anyways, is there anything that NES can legally do to me?  I don't want to get into any trouble, I am so stressed already about putting food on the table, and now they have me terrified everytime the phone rings!

These are the nastiest people you will ever speak to. Rude in not the word.  They are a bunch of B***hes and Bastards that continuously call to harrass anyone who picks up the phone even if its not the person they are looking for. I got a call from a Ms. Moore saying that I owed money to a school I previously attended for only one week! They told me that if i didnt come up with the full amount before the end of that call that they were going to sue me and get me arrested! Also that i would have to attend court and i would have to have a certified check of a CRAZY amount with me. Is this legal, for someone to harrass you this way even before any previous actions are made to get payment???????????????????????????????

Received numerous calls from 818-524-0000.  Automated message.  Said to have name removed, if this is the wrong person, call this number, 800-337-6556,  Looked up both numbers on this site.  Very shady business.  First number is reporting as "Behavior Specialists" but others who have spoken to them report it as Republican party fund raising.  As I said, Very Shady!

Debt Collector
Last week, I received a call from this debt collector at my work... I dont normally receive personal calls here at work, so I patched her through to my voicemail. Well she called back and asked for my HR person due to a Civil Class Action suit for me. Well, at this point I asked her what it was in regards to. She became very nasty and said I have until 9:30 that morning (it was 8:45 am) to pay in FULL the debt or it will be presented in front of the judge (me knowing full well I didnt receive paperwork from any courts). I told her I would have to figure out how to pay it. I know what my rights were so I didnt call back. She called me back at 9:20am and asked if I was able to pay it up. I told her I know what my rights are and not to call me at my work number, she told me they wont stop calling unless I write to Citibank to stop calls. I told her not to threaten me and her response was that it wasnt a threat, and that You (I) will see if I dont pay the full at that moment. I hung up. Well today I get another call, but this guy was persistant that I pay. He basically said the same thing about a court date on June 18th... Again, I received no paperwork. Well, I am sick of these harrassing calls so we worked out a plan I am able to pay. This company is just plain out rude and scary. I just dont want to have to deal with them anymore...

I received messages from NES on my answering for the past two days, looking for someone I've never heard of.  They have the wrong number, yet keep leaving messages.

I finally called the number back (800-337-6556 x1018) to let them know they have the wrong number.  A Mrs. Tallis asked me what my name was.  I told her I didn't need to give her my name because I wasn't the person she was trying to reach.  She nastily replied, "Now that you had to go and get smart, you're on hold" and put me on hold.  I hung up and called back, and the same dialogue occurred.  I hung up again, called back and got her voice mail.  I left a message stating that I was giving her the courtesy of letting her know that she was calling an incorrect number but since she was so nasty and unprofessional, I wasn't going to give her the name of the person she was trying to reach in error.

I was so annoyed that I called back again and dialed 0 instead of her extension.  I got another woman on the phone and told her that I was receiving harassing calls and it was a wrong number and she nastily said, "Why do you think they are harrassing?"  I said it was because the person was nasty and I wasn't even the person they were trying to reach.  She also asked if I'd thought the reason she asked for my name was because she wanted to address me properly.  I said she didn't need to address me because I wasn't the person she was trying to reach.  The woman hung up.

I kept calling back and got a woman named Jackie who apologized and assured me I wouldn't receive any more calls.  She also said she had a record of the calls and would let Mrs. Tallis' supervisor know how I was treated.

Less than an hour later, I received another phone call from a man at NES.  I asked him where he was calling from and he replied "NES".  I asked him what kind of company that was and he replied "a law firm".  How can they not get in trouble for defrauding people and impersonating themselves as a law firm?  I started to explain that they had my number in error and he hung up.

I called back and he answered.  I asked for Jackie.  He asked for her last name and extension, which I didn't have.  He hung up again.

I then called the police who said since I informed them that they had the wrong number, if they call again, it is harrassment and I can fill out a police report.  They also suggested I call the phone company and have their calls traced, which I did.
