I also got the same call as Myra. After several days of persistant calls form 800-339-2019, I finally answered the call out of curiosity. They said they were a "pre-collection agency" saying I had a past due balance with AT & T for around $54. I explained that I am never late, have never had a past due balance, and if I owed money, why had I never received a bill? They said a notice had been mailed to me, they knoew my home address and everything. After I demanded proof of this bill and that someone email me some sort of proof he suggested I call the AT & T customer service line which I did - and SURPRISE - they confirmed that I had no outstanding fees due and that it sounded like a scam. I also pulled a copy of my credit report as I suspect something fishy since the 800 caller seemed to have WAY too much personal info somehow, but it turned out clean.
I finally decided to call back 800-339-2019 at work and turns out it is some sort of adult phone sex recording. I quickly hung up. What collossal a***oles.

Somebody with a terrible accent called at 9 P. M. and I understood him to say "Myra Pierce". He immediately starts haranging me about my over $400 AT&T wireless Bill that "you opened in April 2011 and canccelled shortly thereafter and did not pay the bil"l. I told him I had an AT& T account which was current and I did not owe anything. I got more irate and he kept insisting that I owed this money. He finally told me that I had a "hearing problem" because I said my name was "Tamarra" Pierce.. I told him I never said my name was Tamarra Pierce and asked him where he got this phone number. Shortly after this he hung up..
