The 'Auto Processing Center' for "Ford" called with the story of my warranty was running out, needed this coverage, blah blah blah.  He did know the make & model of the vehicle I purchased many years ago (which is paid off).  He wanted to know the mileage I had on it currently, which I would not tell him.  The phone number came up "restricted" on my caller ID.  His phone kept cutting out to the point I could not understand what he was trying to say at all at first.. then he adjusted his headset, apologized for the issues he was having.. Offered to call me back.  I said no thanks.. and he started explaining they are a national provider of mechanical insurance.  I interrupted him and explained that as a farm girl who has been working on engines my entire life.. I probably had it covered.  He then hung up.

I got taken by this company, Auto Processing Center, Santa Barbara, CA.on a scam. They offered a warranty they said was the same as my vehicle manufacturers bumper-to-bumper warranty. They said they worked with the manufacture. They said if I didn't like it, all I had to do was call within 30 days to get a complete immediate refund.  When I got the warranty, it was nothing like they claimed so I called right away to cancel but got brushed off.  They then wouldn't return my calls.  I filed a dispute with my credit card company and got a temporary refund. This scam company claimed I didn't cancel in time but I showed the credit card company my phone records and a letter I also wrote to the company. The credit card company finalized the dispute on my side.  They said they got a lot of complaints about Auto Processing Center.  Do not buy anything from them.  It's a scam.

The Auto Processing Center called my 65-year old father to sell him an extended warranty which they claimed was exactly the same as the manufacturers bumper to bumper warranty. They also claimed they partnered with the manufacturer and did warranty servicing for them. They promised a full refund no questions asked if you didn't want it.  He paid the down payment. When he got the so-called warranty, it was worded so that it would be extremely unlikely to ever get them to pay for any repairs and there was no connection to the manufacturer.  He immediately called to cancel and they gave him the runaround and refused to give him a refund in accordance with their refund policy.  This company is a complete fraud.  It's nothing but a scam.

I received a call from 1-800-356-8170 saying they were the Auto Processing Center, 2530 Red Hill Suite 225, Santa Ana, CA 92075. They said they wanted to sell me an extended warranty on my 2004 vehicle that they claimed covered EVERYTHING that the manufacturers warranty covered with NO EXCLUSIONS except for wear items such as belts, tires, oil, etc. They promised that I could get a 100% refund once I received the copy of the warranty within 30 days and was not 100% satisfied. All I had to do, he said, was call this same number to cancel and I'd receive a prompt refund. The price was $2,395 with a $195 payment immediately and $122.22 per month. I ordered via credit card. When I received and reviewed it, I found that it was not a warranty that covered what the salesman claimed but was labeled a "service contract" and was worded such that it was extremely unlikely it would ever pay for any repairs. Additionally, I researched to company and found out that it is basically a scam. I called the number given within 30 days and demanded my money back.   Instead of giving my money back, the company continued to charge my credit card. I've disputed the charges and reporting the company to my state attorney general for prosecution.  THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT BUY FROM AUTO PROCESSING CENTER, SANTA ANA, CA

Predatory call to my mother-in-law.  Identified theirself as Auto Processing Center.  Go search google for these clowns and you won't find anything. The woman on the phone was nasty and mean to her.  Don't trust these people.  They are predators.
