this number is legit- they called me just as I was trying to use visa at dentist and it got declined.  They were worried about a charge from Mexico (my honeymoon).  They are with RBC and it is a real security number.

This is a LEGITIMATE phone call from RBC making sure that transactions that you are LEGITIMATELY making are actually coming from you. This is excellent security protection from RBC

This is a legitimate number and a call from RBC. I called them back and there were some fraudulent charges on my card which the bank quickly reversed.

I got this call from RBC, I didn't trust them so I hung up. Then called the number on the back of my card, they said it really was from RBC. Then cancelled my card, they will be sending a new one.

Call received at 10:39 AM 06/18/08. Has two options available English and Russian. Claims to represent RBC.

Legit call and # for RBC Visa Security.

This is an RBC Visa phone #. Received a v-mail today asking to call them back at this # or the # on the back of my Visa card. I called them back at the # on my Visa card and they wanted to confirm some transactions with me. Apparently someone used my card for $300-$400 purchases in US. Just before that, I had used my card for a purchase in Canada.
They now canceled my card due to safety concerns and will send me a new card in a week or so.

I called the number the back of my card and gave my info to the cust. service.  I was then transferred to card services. They wanted to make sure activity on my account was deliberate.



Soooooooooooooooooo thankful they called just to make sure.

This is real.   I lost my identity and my house because I did not call this number back.   Call the number back and safe your life!!!!! SAVE YOUR LIFE PEOPLE

I was kind of suspicious for a bit, as they were asking me all this personal information, but then they started going over my purchases that they could not have known otherwise.

Turns out, my card HAD been compromised ... but for $9. Thank you RBC for the swift recovery!

It's a legitimate number. I freaked out when "Visa Security Dept" left a msg on my phone asking for the 3-digit number on the back of my card. I though it was fishy.
I actually called the number on the back of my card, and they confirmed it was the Security Dept. They just needed to confirm a recent transaction, and made sure it was me that did it, and that my card hadn't been compromised.

its real, i just got a call from them

It's a legit number.  Just called it today regarding fraudulant purchases that took place yesterday and everything is solved, for which I'm very appreciative.

I received a phone message telling about call 800-361-0152. I called the number in my credit card, the 1-800-769-2512.
The number 800-361-0152 is fine. Was a real RBC Visa Security call.

Definitly a legit number.  Its RBC's security department for lost or stolen cards.

Scary stuff someone had used my credit card for 3 gas transactions in the last 24 hours.

Received a call from an unknown number and they left a message with a reference number and 800-361-0152. My card had been compromised and they needed to cancel it.

I also called the number on the back of the card to verify that it was legit and it was confirmed.

Call is legit

Received voice mail from 1 514 392 9167 (Montreal).
Message indicated it was from RBC VISA security dept. It instructed to call 1-800-361-0152 or number on back of card, with a reference number.
I called number on back of card, I was asked card number, 3 digit number on back of card, address and phone number.
I was told that my card had been flagged for potential fraudulent use. We verified that there were indeed 2 transactions that were made by a third party.
So we cancelled card, and I am now waiting for new card.

when you get phone calls or letters from rbc visa, why don't you just stop and think.. "hmm.. maybe there IS something wrong with my account. doesn't hurt to make sure.." and call the one number you know FOR SURE is legit: THE ONE ON THE BACK OF YOUR CARD!
if you REALLY never got calls, maybe the phone number on your file is not up to date.. doesn't hurt to check on that once in a while too..

i work for rbc visa security and 800-361-0152 is the direct toll free # for the security department. when we leave messages to our clients, or if they do not feel secure with our call, we gladly invite them to call the # on the back of their card.
if your caller id displays 514-392-9167 and we don't give that #, it is because our office is located in montreal and it would just be a long distance call for most clients.
when you receive a letter, that means we DID attempt reaching you several times. either you are too stubborn and ignore our messages or your contact info is not up to date. so why not CALL THE # ON THE BACK OF YOUR CARD ALREADY! lol :P

If this number calls you.. You want to make sure you call them back or the number at the back of your Visa card.. I just had mine used for some online shopping fraud. I called the number on the back of my card instead for my own peace of mind but this number is legit. They were swift and I appriciate that, for the purchases were just made today.

This is a legitimate number.  I called Visa to confirm if it was a legitimate # since they asked for the 3 digit security code off the back and Visa confirmed it was the direct number to the security department.

Today I received call from this number. The agent impersonates as RBC Security departmenta representative, leaves this number to return call, her name an my 4-digits would be file number.
I called to the number, provided on the back of my Visa card to verify. They confirmed, that the number in question is real RBC security department.

This is the right # for RBC visa.
