This was Dell Financial Services (or someone they contracted with) to "remind me" that my lease payment was wayyy overdue (true).  They were very poilte about it.  My caller ID said "unknown"; the 800-372-7860 phone number was what the caller left for me on my voice mail - not the caller ID.

It's Dell Financial Services They call you up to tell you your lease payment is over-due (they continually misapply our payments to a closed account so this is nothing new from DFS) and they leave a phone number 800-672-7860 that you can't call back.  Their business customer service number is 1-866-413-3355.

Got the same call today, same beeps...So I called the number back and they say they are Dell Financial Services.  I told the girl who answered that this number has been calling our office just to beep and then hang up.  She was able to figure out why they were calling from our phone number and asked for accounts payable.

She made no comment about them hanging up on us.  No sorry, no excuse, nada.

-Called our office and all I heard was a series of beeps.  I hung up.  It makes sense it would be Dell- they have outsourced to some of the worst call centers that use crappy equipment and ambiguous Caller ID terms like "Toll Free", "Main Lines" or "Unknown".

Hopefully they'll get tired of so many of their calls going unanswered and go back to hiring Americans to work in their own call center.

Dell Financial Services

I've gotten this one several times... automated voice asks me to wait while I'm connected, then asks if I'm still there, then eventually apologizes for not connecting me, then hangs-up.  

I use vonage, and have a published businesse number, and get lots of telemarketers.  Oh well.
