Called twice to my cell phone in two hour intervals on 10/30/08

I'm getting calls daily from Charter Communication.  Different callers/cities.  I have not ordered charter comm, and, as far as I can tell, they don't offer services in my city.  So I returned the call and told them there was an error.  I answered the call once and told them the error. They continue to call and leave a message that they will be here tomorrow.  Does anyone have an idea on how to get them to stop calling my number?

Im Confirming Kevin's statement, it is Charter Communication, after I read this thread, I called back the number, and I guess my number registered with their database because although a computer answered mechanically It went straight to confirming my appointment for the next day.

This is a Charter Communications phone number as of 6/6/08. It called me automatically every four hours in an attempt to verify an appointment. I was not feeling well, so I did not answer the first few calls. It only stops once a human answers because you have to push phone buttons to confirm or cancel the appointment.
