I also received a contract for a $5000 loan, 7% AIR and a $600 insurance prepayment in order to secure the loan. The loans officer, Ashley Webbster, told me initially that confirmation of identify followed by the $600 payment would ensure that funds are in my bank account within 48 business hours. The insurance company that underwrites the policies Vault uses to "secure" the loan, Direct Financial & Insurance Services, 455 Ruby Street, Joliet, IL 60435-6202, (888) 560-7451is actually a Duct Cleaning Company, who has reported issues with random phone calls being sent to their company.

I spoke at length with Ashley and a "supervisor" by the name of Joe Jackson (tough to make out; very raspy voice), and questioned them about their financial services. They cannot answer why the insurance company does not have a working phone number. Their physical address, 16420 N Thompson Peak #2050, Scottsdale, Arizona, shows up as a residence on GoogleEarth.

They are reluctant to answer questions directly, and claim that a "review" on the BBB website is not the same as a complaint. Note their BBB feedback:

Stay away - probably fraudulent.

Something does not sound right about this company....approved for $5000 loan and insurance up front. If a company is going to approve you, they don't ask for money up front. I can't just fall for this and I'm doing a lot of research.

ALL loans that start with you paying them to give you the loan are, at best, a bad deal.  I think that type of loan is illegal in the US.

Shred the contract.  Don't give them any money.
