Re. "The internet is the biggest scam in existence," then why does your company use the internet website travel1canada.com? To scam people?
Re. "most of these internet phone sites are set up to extort money from legit businesses ... (Look up 800 notes scam)," I have and as far as I can tell, this is a malicious attack on 800notes without a sliver of truth. The person who alleges this, claims to have observed this while employed by 800notes (has first-hand, "inside" info), but refuses to report the alleged crime to the FBI. Until s/he does, it's libel and I hope 800notes' attorneys are on it.
Re. "We do not post our address or contact info on the internet because it is misused by all of the scammers that trash legitimate companies like ours," since Microsoft posts their address and contact info on the internet, is it because Microsoft wants to be scammed or is it because Microsoft has no fear of being located by law enforcement agencies? YOU HIDE BECAUSE YOU FEAR LAW ENFORCEMENT.
Re. "If you bought a product from our company you were given multiple contact numbers as well as emailed receipts and documentation with our address and phone numbers," how convenient! This means victims... I mean customers can't check you out *BEFORE* being scammed... I mean relieved of their hard-earned money. YOU WANT VICTIMS TO PAY YOU FIRST BEFORE FINDING OUT WHO YOU ARE!
Re. "People that continually post negative information on a phone number usually have never even purchased the product that they are complaining about," well, isn't this is like don't knock cyanide unless you've tried it?
Re. "We do not appreciate persons posting inappropriate comments about a company that they do not know anything about," posters do not appreciate *SCAMMERS* posting inappropriate comments about posters that they do not know anything about.
Re. "The company that owns this number is a licensed travel agency that has been in business for over 10 years," why the vague reference to "the company?" What is the company name?
"We do send out faxes" means you admit you're a *SPAMMER* and "most of the recipients are happy to receive them" is a COMPLETE *LIE* and re. "so that they can take a vacation that they normally could not afford to do otherwise," YOU DO NOT REVEAL UP FRONT THAT YOUR ALLEGED "VACATION" IS A TIMESHARE TOUR DISGUISED AS A "VACATION" WHERE VICTIMS ARE HARASSED TO BUY! BUY! BUY! ON THEIR "VACATION".
"I guarantee that the 800?s are always different because they are from different senders" is a *LIE* because travel1canada has used and uses *DIFFERENT* toll-free numbers. YOU'VE COPIED/PASTED THIS EXACT POST UNDER AT LEAST 4 NUMBERS ON 800NOTES WHICH MAKES YOUR STATEMENT A COMPLETE LIE.
Re. "Over the years we realize that most persons that do post such crap on the internet are usually unhappy persons that want the rest of the world to be unhappy with them," over the years posters realize that most *SCAMMERS* that do fax such crap to victims are usually unhappy persons that want the rest of the world to be unhappy with them.
"Let me be the first to tell you how to spot a travel scam. If you are ever approached by a company that requests a check over the phone or a money order I would steer clear reason being is that the particular company cannot qualify for a merchants account to process credit cards" is a misleading statement. Scammers choose payment methods that fit their scams best. Some choose to use checks or money orders, some like travel1canada choose not to. If travel1canada will benefit from checks or money orders, then travel1canada will use them. USAGE OF CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS DOES *NOT* SEPARATE LEGIT FROM SCAM TRAVEL AGENCIES. YOU NEED TO BECOME A BETTER LIAR IF YOU WANT TO GET AHEAD AS A SCAMMER.

As an employee of this company it saddens be to read all of the BS that is posted on the internet by persons that have never had dealings or even purchased a product from our company.

The internet is the biggest scam in existence. The mere existence of the internet and sites such as these let any person trash any companies reputation  or phone number In fact most of these internet phone sites are set up to extort money from legit businesses to clean up there reputation that was not ever bad to start. (Look up 800 notes scam)

We take very good care of our customers and give them everything that they are promised. We are not scammers or wanted in any states for fraud. We do not post our address or contact info on the internet because it is misused by all of the scammers that trash legitimate companies like ours. If you bought a product from our company you were given multiple contact numbers as well as emailed receipts and documentation with our address and phone numbers.

Persons that continually post negative information on a phone number usually have never even purchased the product that they are complaining about. The company that owns this number is a licensed travel agency that has been in business for over 10 years. The company in question has traveled tens of thousand of happy customers. We do not appreciate persons posting inappropriate comments about a company that they do not know anything about.

We do send out faxes and most of the recipients are happy to receive them so that they can take a vacation that they normally could not afford to do otherwise.
We remove anyone that contacts us with their fax number that does not wish to receive or advertisements (remember it cost us to send these so if you don't want it we don't want to waste our money)Please check your 800's on your faxes there are hundreds of companies that do similar promotions. Please check your faxes and I guarantee that the 800?s are always different because they are from different senders.

I read the internet too and there is a lot of erroneous information posted which is not fair to companies trying to do the right thing.
Persons should spend a day on our side just because a person receives a fax does not give them the right to continually call and harass us all day and post things that are not true on the internet. Persons need to get their facts straight. Over the years we realize that most persons that do post such crap on the internet are usually unhappy persons that want the rest of the world to be unhappy with them.

Let me be the first to tell you how to spot a travel scam. If you are ever approached by a company that requests a check over the phone or a money order I would steer clear reason being is that the particular company cannot qualify for a merchants account to process credit cards.

I've googled around, looked into the same allegations and it looks like a concerted defamation attack on Forte and 800notes. Since you claim you've inside information, why haven't you gone to the FBI and filed a complaint? Seems like a surefire prosecution and conviction if you can provide inside info. The reason you will not go to the FBI is you'd be criminally liable for filing a false police report and civilly liable to 800notes. Until you file a report, your smear campaign has no legs. To all reading this - don't believe this post but google around and figure it out for yourself like I did. There are holes in the attack post but I'm not going to help her/him/it write a better attack. Figure it out for yourself.

I am one of the previous employees of the www.800notes.com I am letting the common public know about my first hand experience at the company.I was hired as a fresher and right on the very first day I was told how the whole scam works. The company head- Julia Forte makes it a point that the strategy is very well drilled in every executives head.

Basically they would encourage people to come and write complaints about various phone numbers and tele callers. Now every one registering on the website is required to put in the details of the email.Ones a complaint comes in-they would let it lie on the website just like that and see if any more people are writing against the number. If not-then one of the team members of the 800notes.com would put up some false comments and posts about the number. This ways they would build up a lot of complaints against one number.

Ones sufficient complaints were collected,we were asked to get in touch with these numbers/phone callers personally make them aware of what has been posted about the numbers and against their companies. The job was basically to emphasize about the repercussions of the number staying there online. We would build up pressure on them to get these numbers removed, scared them with all possible explanations. And to remove the posts the company would ask them to pay hefty amounts ranging from 500 to 2000 USD.The amount was supposed to be transferred by means that could not be clearly tracked-in false bank accounts, direct transfers in employee names!!!

This scammer is travel1canada.com and travel1usa.com with the same IP address 69.65.3.168 and registered to domainsbyproxy which is a favorite tactic of scammer-owners who want to hide. Owners of legit businesses have no need to hide. travel1canada is a live website. travel1usa is also live but simply redirects to travel1canada. This scammer has scammed and/or is scamming on the 5 numbers below (includes this number) that I can find so far. Following each number are the scammer comments that were simply copied and pasted from number to number -- this shows the 5 numbers are associated with the same scammer -- while legit posts report their calls were associated with travel1canada and travel1usa which the shills do not deny.

3questions = Q&A posted by "R u serious" and "R U Serious".

Posts report receiving faxed offers of fabulous holidays at an amazingly low cost. R U Serious?'s 16 Mar 2011 reply to gho http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-832-4670/2 says:

"Question 1. Is this offer legit? Answer=Yes, Its a Vacation Ownership Vacation package You are required to attend a tour of the Orlando resort but for your time you get a rental car for 7 days, The rest of the locations the "tour" is optional not required but if you do the tour at the other locations you get more free stuff like upgrades to condo's etc." and

"Question 2. Why is it so cheap? Its so cheap because the developer of the resort is in  vacation ownership, They pay these companies to get you to the resort to take the tour so they resort pays for 70% of your vacation costs to get you there. Why you ask? because 1 out of 10 couples that take the tour spend between $15,000- $50,000+ on vacation ownership. Which is more than enough to cover the other 9 that dont. what they get out of the other 9 is word of mouth advertising."

Which means THIS IS A TIMESHARE TOUR DISGUISED AS A "VACATION" WHERE YOU WILL BE HARASSED TO BUY! BUY! BUY! ON YOUR "VACATION". The scammers are *MISREPRESENTING* a timeshare tour as a vacation! I suspect your cost includes the 30% for *all* the "more free stuff" "at the other locations" so if you decline (fight off!) the other-location offers, you'll be declining stuff you've already paid for and the scammers get to keep your 30%. And won't you be p*ssed to find out you were *FAXED* over and over again for a TIMESHARE TOUR DISGUISED AS A VACATION!?
Seriously?

This company is in USA.

Don't complaint to CRTC, but to the USA  FCC  at https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action

If you are CANADIAN,  there is an error in the complaint form , so you can't enter your Province and Postal Code.  Bypass this bug by entering your Province, Country and Postal Code immadiately after you City's name (same dialog box). Then select Vermont as state and 00000 as zip code.

Send your junk FAX as an attachement PDF from your scanner.

You will receive an aknowlegment by mail.

This is the same company who just keeps sending faxes under different phone numbers.
Why would a legit company have any reason to do this.
So anyone who thinks this is NOT a scam, go right ahead and book. Your loss, not mine.
I just wish I could do something about these idiots.

Does anyone know who these idiots are?
I get a fax at least once a week with these stupid offers.
If we know who they are then we can fill their email up with crap or in one case, I was able to shut down there live talk by continually sending messages that said "SCAM" repeated over and over.
It was fun while it lasted and gave me some pleasure.

the first 5 POSTINGS FROM SO CALLED HAPPY CUSTOMERS JUST THIS MORNING?

They are NOT customers - they are TROLLS posting false information

Happy customers do not come to COMPLAINT boards to report their great experience.  Why would they even think to come here and look up this number if they were SO HAPPY?   There would be no reason to look up this number and highly doubtful there would be 5 of them in such a short period of time!

I have also received this fax. I tried to google the company name and found that many people have complained as it is a scam.  It seems this company may be frequently changing their 800 number as a means of attracting new customers.  I will be interested to hear after those of you have booked if your travel went as expected or if you too were scammed.  Until then i will remain skeptical and not book this deal!

We receive several faxes a week to call 1-800-382-1627 for this travel marketer.  We call the number to be removed from the list at least weekly.  When we ask to be removed we receive more faxes.  This is an annoyance, ties up our phone line, and wastes paper.  For the record, I have just submitted a complaint to the CRTC.
