They called trying to sell fruit basket and gifts. I am on the do not call list but apparently they don't care. Don't bother answering nothing but high pressure sales.

Got a call today from this number - answered and no one there. They called back - I answered again, very polite man from Harry and David wanting to sell me some more fruit gift boxes. I had ordered some as gifts at Christmas. I asked him to remove my number, he apologized and said have a nice night.

Wolferman's is owned by Harry and David which is why those of us who have only used Wolferman's are getting these calls, and why the Do Not Call List doesn't apply. However, if they won't identify themselves, I not only won't answer, but will program my phone to block their calls. That and the fact that I do not want solicitation calls from anyone. If I want to order something, or contribute to a charity, I will call them, not the other way around.  As I wrote on another phone number site, I am listed so friends can find me and call.  To me, solicitation, telemarketer, and political calls are an invasion of my privacy.

Harry and David had better get their act together and stop making cold calls (unsolicited telephone marketing) to phone numbers that are on the National Do Not Call Registry.  I report such calls received.  I do not answer calls from any number that I do not recognize.  I simply google the number and find out what I can about who is calling (especially when the caller is anal retentive enough to not allow their name to be listed on the caller ID).  I do file my complaint with the FCC. No chance of getting action when filed with the DNC registry website.  They make it clear that they do not take action on complaints filed with them.  Their complaints go directly into a national data base for informational purposes only.  40 years ago we did business with Harry and David but their fruit started arriving spoiled so we dropped them.  Our policy is that when we discontinue business due to unsatisfactory service provided, we do not return.  We always move on to better things.  Thank you.  
So....Harry and David, you are violating a Federal Law by calling phone numbers that are listed with the DNC Registry.  Eventually you will be caught.

Looking at the responses below; these calls are relating to Harry & David, which I have ordered from but this is crazy.  I think I receive at least 3 to 5 emails a week from H&D and now they are calling me too?  Thinking I need to unsubscribe.

Harry & David keep calling and harassing me at work!  I wouldn't think I would have to consider changing my number from a trusted (I thought) company like Harry & David, but they keep calling me in the middle of the day. Yesterday, the older woman on the phone would not take me off the list unless I "verified certain information" and then proceeded to ask me questions (like she was doing a survey) until I hung up. I tried calling the number back but I just get a recording "Harry and David called you to see if you have any questions about our new catalogue." are you kidding me!  I'm never ordering from them again - that's for sure - those delicious pears come with a bitter aftertaste of incessant, harassing phone calls!

Well, I guess 'Harry & David' are the folks from whom my wife ordered those awesome holiday fruit baskets for our relatives a few weeks ago.  That would mean their call is not a violation of the Do Not Call list.  This number just called here for the first time.

Handle these calls how you wish, but they are not scammers.  It would probably do no harm to speak with them - but I'm not going to.

I would order from them again - the fruit really was quite good - not the kind of stuff you usually get in a regular grocery store.  But, like most folks, I'm not interested in getting phone calls from them.

Non-Solicited Sales call from Harry & David

I didn't pick up the call, but if it's coming from Harry & David, I have done business with them recently, which according to the 'Do Not Call' rules allows them to contact me by phone.  I assigned them to a 'blocked calls' entry in my contacts that has a silent ring tone.  Future calls from them will simply won't ring.  Problem solved.

They called at 9:00PM, used a line on an answering machine that "if I'm not the person they're calling, hang up now".  It was a live person and anyone with a lick of sense would not tell an answering machine to hang up?!?  Usually such calls ask for a phony name like Roger Morrah or Leticia Washington and imply a threat that I'm guilty if I don't hang up. If this was Harry & David, lies and threats make bad openers. Here's hoping there won't be another such error.

I ordered from them in Oct 2010; since then its taken several complains and "cases" to have me removed from their marketing calls and email spam. Now, 10 months later (Nov 2011), they have started up again!  Here is the email I sent their Customer Service today (11/3/2011) to stop again:

Harry & David Customer Service:

Between this case and another, I thought it was CLEAR that I was to be removed from your marketing offers.  Today I have received several calls from 800-397-0091 from your "Sales department" to offer me specials.  On the calls I didn't answer there was no voice message, and the one I did, no one came on the line after the announcement.

Checking the number on the internet via Google, you can see the number of annoyed individuals!

Its obvious that your do not solicit policy is a joke; I am so sorry that I ever ordered from you to begin with. You do not respect my privacy as a customer and I will certainly spread the word via emails to friends and coworkers to avoid your company, unless of course they like to receive SPAM forever!

STOP ANNOYING ME AND FORGET YOU EVERY HAD ME AS A CUSTOMER BY DELETING MY RECORDS!

This number belongs to Harry & David.  The caller politely identified himself with his name and the name of the company.  I have ordered from them in the past.  They were calling to offer unadvertised specials.

No message left but phone keeps track of phone numbers. Because of the note above about it being a business from Medford, OR, I am guessing that it is Harry and David the fruit and other food catalogue company.

This number belongs to Harry and David (fresh fruit) and their other fruit companies.  If you ever did business with them I guess they can call you.  If you don't want to receive their calls just tell them.

I've contacted Harry & David and asked them not to call me again. I am a regular customer, I don't mind emails but the calls are annoying. Just email Customer Service and ask to be removed from their call list.

It's Harry and David. If you have a pending delivery they will call to confirm etc. Also- if you're a regular customer their outbound sales team will call you to "promote" specials etc.... by the way, try the Moose Munch! its worth every calorie...

10/28/2008 I called the number back and it was Harry and David company calling to offer established customers special prices.

I have ordered from them and just completed a survey. I hope I'm getting something free ;-)

Received several calls from this number in the last few days.  Didn't answer.  Glad to know who it is.

received calls from this number several times before.  This time when I answered she stated she was calling from some business (was sort of mumbled) in Medford, OR.  I informed her I was on the no call list and to please remove me from theirs.  She said "thank you mame."

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone...they didn't leave a message.  Called the number back using *67 (to block my call to them)and a recording came on stating that it is the Bear Corporation, a subsidiary of Harry & David.  They call established customers at times to offer unadvertised specials.

Well, your second line here suggests you've ordered from them in the past, and so you've established a relationship with them. Based on that, they understand the "DO NOT CALL LIST", but you do not... anyone with whom you've established a relationship with may call you until you explicitly tell them to stop.



On subject though... I just received a call from this number. I did not answer and they left no message, but like others, I've also ordered through H&D before.
