My parents got a call for me at there house from 800-405-1637 left a message on there machine stating that I needed to contact Inspector Thomas at x 109. He stated if I did not call him with 48 hrs there would be a criminal theft charge for fraud and theft of services filed against me. I have not lived with my parents in 15 years, my parents are old and do not need this crap. They had me scared as well. I called the number back and they where closed and left a message with my cell phone number on it. Then did research and found that this is a scam. What do I do now?

I am a collections manager with a very reputable agency. This company called my exwife with the same type of message. When she called back, they told her that there was a civil suit against her in her county. They told me that she committed fraud. Anyone who is getting calls from this company, needs to call them back. If you have them on the phone for 3 minutes, they will violate half a dozen laws I am sure. Keep the recordings and talk to an attorney.

Message on machine: "This message is being left in accordance of Federal Law. Uh, due to the sensitive nature of this call we are unable to disclose any further information at this time. Uh, fortunately  we do need a return call regarding a breach of contract claim filed in our office attached to your name and social security number. Uh, you or your attorney may feel free to reach our office at (pause) 1-800-405-1637 in regard to case #******. It is important that I speak with you and get your side of the story before I make any further decisions. Again, I can be reached at (pause) 1-800-405-1637, Thank You.

Call your bank and close your account NOW, report it as ID theft.
You may or may not actually owe the dept and even if you do it is probably past the SoL.

I received a call from this number with story that a complaint has been filed against me from an outstanding debitor.   They are taking legal action against me and that I need to settle out-of-court or any additional $1500 will be added onto balance.  Needed to make arrangements now, so she wouldn't have to file in the legal.  So, in a hesitated decision I gave them my account information and now regard that decision.  Is this a scam???

I have received calls from this company before but now they are trying a different strategy...
"Hi, this call is strictly intended for (fill in the blank)My name is Dana Love with the office of RGA.  There's been a complaint sent to our office with your name and social attached. We wanted to get your side of the story before any decisions are determined.  I need you to call me immediately.  I do intend to speak with you or your legal representer."  
The first one was similar with a slight script variation.  "This call is in regards to use receiving documents, it is in regards to a complaint with your name and social attached to it.  You are allowed a 24 hour grace period.  Please refer to case number (fill in the blank)."  
Give me a Break!!!

google this number 866-361-0393 and read the information there because they used to call with this other number they just chenged it..

I got a call from them about some legal issue that I don't know about...then the dude was like "good bye and good luck"....what a scam

I got a call from them today saying they were RG Associates never heard of them.

DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE?
