Why don't these ppl get off their butts and get real jobs and stop harrassing ppl? They are calling the wrong ppl/

I have been receiving calls from this company almost every day. Usually I don't answer a call which does not have any user ID (Name and phone number) and I allow them to go to my answer machine. So every time they leave a message asking to contact this number for important message with some web registration code. Thanks for all of your information. I never call them.
Don?t answer any calls without caller ID and let them to go to your answer machine and filter them and call back if you really want them.

I used to work with this debt recovery company. Your phone numbers come from your Cell Phone provider company - Telus, Rogers, Bell will sell your phone numbers to these companies. The numbers are fed into the computer banks, agents are then in charge of calling you for accounts you held up to 12 or 14 years ago. Once or twice a day the switch is thrown and ALL the numbers are called at once for specific time zones (Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern). So when your phone is ringing, there are thousands of other phones ringing at the same time in your time zone. When you answer, your call is put in line for the next agent to call. They will verify your phone number, ask who you are, and if the name does not match, they will update the number on file to replace it with your own name, and then there is a search to see if you have anything in collection... They're owned by JP Morgan Chase, if you know what that means ;)

Just got a call the asked for Michael Smith. Our phone number is listed as M Smith in the phone book. And the M belongs to my wife (and yes she is a female). They may be doing some skip tracing or?? 6:30 pm in beautiful BC.

ps. Our name is not Smith ... I just used for an example of what they are doing.

They work, they block the call after one ring. Lots of landline phones have this feature built in.

Does the Call Blocker actually work?  I've tried a few but they didn't block calls.  Is there a special way to set it up?

i will not except calls from this number as it is not me..please leave me alone or i will report you to the athorities....enough is enugh.....

telus customers * 57 call trace  even if it saying sorry we cant trace the last call all calls are traceable keep the time and date. Just got this information from Telus  

I called RCMP they said its a civil matter
If guess if they call you call them just don't threat them less than 10 min you will know every body by name.
Disturb them ask them how was your lunch break your doing a survey

they call between 8:00 am - 9:00 pm  4 - 5 times a day all blocked calls never leave a message  I have been getting call for about 4 months slowly increasing they are looking for some that that dost-not leave here.
they use fictitious names don't give them you number or account number  ask to speak to that name that they final left message and guess what the used a fictitious names .
If you owe money they still cant call you all day long "GET TO KNOW YOU RIGHTS"  fax or register mail them to contact you by mail only send them a dollar each month they can say your not paying them now can they cant call you any more .

please use the internet look it up when your are making a legal transaction you must use your real name
and legal name you can call your self what ever you what if your not making a legal transaction
So tomorrow I will talk to supervisor let them know that they cant use fictitious names when doing legal financial matters  that's what they said on my machine "legal financial matters " I play it back for them

just got a call at 8am this morning was NCO. Turns out that i missed an invoice for fedex back in August.The lady was very nice and actualy spoke english.I was pissed at NCo but now im pissed at Fedex for putting me in coiiections and not even telling me about the missed invoice.

I love that!  Attack them with kindness, it'll confuse them so much they won't know what to do!  That's awesome, way to go!

I went to CNET and downloaded a free Phone Call Blocker. These guys keep getting different phone #'s so I have to keep adding the new ones. I have no debts, but maybe they have me confused with someone else or are extortionists. The Phone Call Blocker will ring once, then terminate the call.

I get the messages from this number, and now answer very politely,At first told them that if they feel they have a claim, there is a court system and I would love them to take me to court so when the judge finds out I am not the person they are looking for, I can sue them for harrassment.  They will tell you that they do not take you to court, and will  just keep phoning, so then  I told them I was a lonely old lady, and would love to talk to them, and kept asking them questions, such as what is your name dear, you sound like such a nice person, do you have children, where do you live, and just keep talking, they hang up, calls are getting fewer since I started this.As soon as I see the number I tell them I am so pleased they phoned, and start my asking questions again.

hopefully they won't call again.

i have been getting some miscalls from this number, but i have never had any loans from this company. I will try to contact them to get my number off their calling list hopefully.

i hav  been getting calls from this # for a long long long time. i never answer. a message is left saying i can service my account bla bla bla at a specific www address. i dont bother responding , and never looked up th www address. kinda curious to see how long it will go on for - been well over a yr now . harrassing to say the least.

Got the call, and asked for "Jack?". Told them this is my phone number ... with me about 7 years.

I got a call from this number and asked who's name was on file and it wasn't mine. Phone numbers are recylced so who ever had your number before you may still be on file with this financial institute. Call them and have them remove your number from the list.
