This is ADT security services. It's not a prank or anything like that. Most likely, the call you received is either because you are on a recall list through your employer who has a security account with ADT or it is a misdialed number. Don't ignore the call, just pick up and ask to be removed from their calling list

Its A.D.T. a security company. They are calling you to let you know an alarm was tripped.

It's ADT. Called at 9:40 PM 26 JAN 12 because I'm on the notification contact and our store is setup with ADT Security. Left message saying back door has been triggered, authorities has been notified. Left my house and went to check on the store and yeah, the back door was unlocked. reset the alarm and made sure the back door was locked. Made it before the authorities got there.

The number is for ADT, it is their central monitoring station. I get calls from this number anytime the alarm at my location (store) goes off or there is an "event" involving my alarm system. This is NOT a telemarketing scam, I get those all the time. If you get a call from this number you are either listed as a contact number on the alarm call list for a specific business OR perhaps someone gave them an incorrect number or transposed a digit here or there and your number is in the system. They WILL call repeatedly as that is what they are supposed to do until they can get a response because it means somewhere someone has their burglar/fire alarm going off and they are in turn doing what they are paid to do...notify the client. IMHO you might try answering and explaining...nicely...that you are not the person they are looking for and poof like magic your number will be taken off the call list. Moreover you might just allow them to find the person they are truly attempting to reach so they can let them know there is an issue.
My two cents.

They called 3 times in a row at 1:30 am. No idea if they left a message. That's against the law and I will be reporting them.

scott 2011-10-06 18:13:25 Unknown
This still could be ADT. Your number is on their list because their information hasn't been updated since the system was set up at a certain location. Meaning, the number they have was for a different person but now you have that phone number... Phone numbers are recycled

I did just get a message from that number, while I wasout getting the mail. I looked on line and it seems it is ADT, However, I did work with a company at the address they mentioned, but they have their own security center that would call, they do not use ADT- They have there own and have not changed since i am still working for them. They could actually call the store directly since we are still in working daylight hours in California. Seems odd and it is a bogus call for sure. What a racket- great guise for a call to either solict you or collect a bill.
Do not awnser.......

This is the ADT dispatch center general number. I've answered it a number of times but always forget who the number belongs to. They call if there's an unscheduled or strange alarm activity going on. I'm on a call list for my job, which is why they call. Perhaps those of you who are called accidently should answer and request to be taken off the list... your number might've been placed on it accidently.

To Jim and Dope,
First off, may I apologize for any of my associates who did not leave messages, it is our standard operating procedure to do so. Secondly, ADT does use 1-800-428-7124 as our call back number and if you were to call that number, you will be able to reach a number of departments in ADT's Call Monitoring Center.
Third and finally, if we called your number, one of our clients listed you. I as one of our dispatchers have no control over who we call, or an evil intention when we call you.
BandidoNels 2011-06-06 20:57:47 Unknown
This is ADT. They do not conduct unsolicited calls. Like the guy above me said, they are calling you because there is an alarm sounding at a business or residence under which you are listed as a contact. Call them and try to get your name removed if this is not correct. They usually do not leave a message by the way. They have a list of 3 or 4 contacts and they go up and down the list until they get an answer and someone can respond to the alarm. I know this because I am in Bandidos MC and we have an ADT alarm on our clubhouse, and it seems to always go off when I'm most comfortable in bed on the coldest night haha. Hope this info helps. BFFB

Received a call on my cell phone at 5:00 AM this morning 7/23/08. Woke me out of a sound sleep. As soon as I noted the caller ID as being 800-428-7124, I realized it was a bogus call and did not respond. When I checked the number on line later this morning, it was identified as ADT. How rude!
natalie 2011-06-06 20:57:47 Unknown
this number called me at 9:32 and left a message saying they were ADT and that i had a low battery. they gave the address, which was incorrect, and told me to call them back. ridiculous..don't answer.
Linda Adams 2011-06-06 20:57:47 Unknown
this number called me at 2.41 AM...did not answer
Missy 2011-06-06 20:57:47 Unknown
If you work somewhere that uses ADT as its security system, and you are listed as a contact, you will be called if an alarm goes off at your workplace
Jenell 2011-06-06 20:57:47 Unknown
I received this call at 5:52 AM on 1/11/09. I didn't answer because it said Toll Free on the caller ID and I assumed it was a telemarketer. After investigating the number I then called my job to see if there was an issue with ADT. Normally they would leave a message but they didn't and there were no issues at work. This made me angry since they woke me up from a sound sleep and I was on vacation. I know there are laws when a telemarketer may call and I feel something needs to be done about this totally unsolicited call.
Mike 2011-06-06 20:57:47 Unknown
Anyone who is complaining about getting this call needs to STFU. The only reason ADT would be calling you from this number is if your employer has uses their service and has you listed as an emergency contact. If they are calling you about a former employer or have the wrong number you should let them know what's up not just whine about somebody interrupting your sleep or wasting your time.
This is a legit number. They are not trying to sell you anything. Come out of your fall out shelter, the telemarketers aren't out to get you.
John E. Barga 2011-06-06 20:57:47 Unknown
4 calls in the middle of the night. Recoded message, ID as ADT
Pam 2011-06-06 20:57:47 Unknown
GROW UP people! This is part of your job description. So you lost a couple of hours of sleep. Be grateful you have a job to be worried about. I can think of a few million Americans who are unemployed and would not mind being inconvenience over ADT calling.
Jim 2011-06-06 20:57:47 Unknown
I think that Mike, BandidoNels and Pam are full of it. I have an unlisted number that is on the "Do Not Call" list and there is no way that I could be listed as a contact for ADT. It's telemarketing pure and simple.
Dope 2011-06-06 20:57:47 Unknown
To anybody that says you shouldn't be mad about these calls needs to go die in a fire. They blew my phone the f*** up one day, literally called me three times in a row asking for a Clarence Philip. I've never heard the name and explained that to them very carefully every time they called. 3 hours late, lo and behold, yet ANOTHER call. F*** you ADT, I hope you all f***ing drop dead.
