Keep calling and asking me to contact a person and give them a message. I have told them I don't know the person so why are they callling me, what company are you with, and what is your message you want me to give them. Lady said they had me as a contact person but can not tell me this since I don't know the person. But they call at least 2 times or more a day. I have had this number since 1974 so I know they hadn't had this number in 40 years.  

Don't leave a complain here, leave it at the Better Business Bureau.

Got a call from 800-436-5290 and the woman just started talking without introducing herself.  She said, "This call is being monitored and recorded."  Then, she asked if I was (she said my full name) and I said "yes, speaking" and she asked if I could tell her how to get ahold of another person by the name of "first/last name".  I told her I didn't know that person and asked her who was calling.  She didn't identify herself.  Instead she again tried to find out if I could give her info for that other person.  So, I asked again, "Who are you and how did you get my name and number?" and she replied, "I got it on the internet". She said that the person she was asking about and I are/were neighbors and she really needed to get ahold of her.  Well guess what?  I am unlisted and my number is registered with Do Not Call so I have no idea how she could have found my information online.  Clearly she's a scammer.  I told her this and she said, "Well, I'll just take your name off this list since you say you don't know that person." and she hung up.  Very odd!!  I just checked again if I could find my personal info online and nothing came up in searches so I find this company/caller/phone number suspicious.

Called looking for Carol. My mom's name happens to be Carol but even she don't know my number. I told them They had the wrong number. "Uh...so you don't know Carol then?". "No". Click.

Called ask for me by name, the asked for a shawn that was living at my address, first time, but strange.

These jerks just called out house and asked for my son....then asked my son for someone else by a different name...I deal with this one my cell phone for like 3 or 4 other people...Im just going to start logging dates and times and contact the FCC...this is all a bunch of BS...since the number comes up on the caller ID  you cant block them...or I would.

Caller left a message that asked for a person an reference to another who is unknown to me.   When I called the number and asked what I am calling General Revenue, I then asked what type of organization they were they turned the question on me in which in case you don't know by now.   No one is going to provide any information by phone.

I received a call from a woman at 930am sund. She asked me if I'm "Steve?" I asked her who she was (I will admit, she didn't sound like a typical debt collector and all my debt is paid current right now) and she replied "General Revenue Corp." Curious, I answered, I'm Mike. She then asked if I own an apartment building at (she stated the address). I told her I don't (but I happen to know who does which I didn't tell her). She then asked who does? I then said, "I don't answer questions on a sunday morning." She said, we don't stop working. I then hung up. My autodialer computer network (a friend built me a robodialer)  will now be programmed to call their 800 grid line nonstop until they block me out. It will disrupt there business and they will have to deal with their phone carrier over the bill they WILL get. Rest easy, I'm their worst nightmare. To be called and harassed for being the wrong person is not cool and we need to fight back.

Called with my name saying a person by the name of Kathy or Cathy used me as a reference and that I would be able to get a message to them.  I honestly dont know any person by that name.  Lady was very nice after I told her that.  I usually never answer 800, 888, or 866 numbers but wasnt thinking this morning.

These people are huge scammers.  Trying to collect an invalid debt.  I have asked for proof of this debt as I never had taken that loan out and they could never give it to me.  They then called various family members threatening them.  That is illegal.

I received a call from this number today asking for a Ms. Acveda.  The number is my work cell phone & as far as I am aware is a new number.  Hopefully they don't continue to call!

keeps calling me has more than one number and its a debt collector whom has different names and affiliates so they can keep bugging you.  i never had debt i don't know the person they call about or send letters about in the mail i keep telling them that when i was in school my father paid off all my loan/bills. i haven't been in school in yrs and i have no clue what they are talking about so please stop calling me. maybe obvious its a jealously thing because i have a masters in psychology and you have to work for a scam company but thats not a reason to think you could pursue people that aren't in debt. we aren't your weekly allowance for a casino trip or your vacation funds.

i got a call didnt answer it always look up the number I havent been in college since 1992 and paid my student loans off in 2000 -- wtf

They are asking for information like your birthday because they need to make sure they are not giving away personal information to the wrong person. When i owed them money, they probably called at least 5 other people with the same name as me. If they went around saying that i had a debt that was owed to other people without making absolutely sure it was me on the phone (via date of birth or ssn#), I would certainly be very very mad.

Get calls from this number stating they are looking for Avery Darby.  I tell them no such person known to me, perhaps this person had my number at some time but it has been my number for over a year and please stop calling.  Sometimes they stop for a month, sometimes they call back two days later.
I gave the number its own ringtone so now I know not to answer but man, are they persistent.  Sometimes several calls per day.  They just won't give up and do their due diligence in finding the person.

If anyone here knows AVERY DARBY tell them to pay their damn bills!

Well, this has been interesting looking into this.
So far I know that
A. I am Marc, not Mike
B. I was born 21 years before MIKe
C. His last four socials is 4142 (not really, but not mine either!)

This is my second go around with debt collectors looking for Mikie.
Last company was in Jersey, I finally got them to stop about 6 mounths ago.
Now it appears the debtor has turned Mikies debt over to these guys GRC and we start again.
I already informed the caller of the last transactions and he seemed to believe I am not Mike.
I am starting a log in case he doesn't stop calling me at work.

THIS COMPANY IS RELENTLESS AND I AM AT MY WITTS END.  THEY NOT ONLY KEEP CALLING MY HOME AND CELL FOR SOMEONE WITH SAME NAME (AND TOTALLY DIFFERENT BIRTH DATE AND SS#), BUT NOW THEY ARE HARRASSING ME AT WORK AND MY SUPERIORS.  I ACTUALLY TOOK A CALL YESTERDAY, YELLED AT THIS WOMAN AND SLAMMED THE PHONE DOWN.  I AM SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING LEGAL ACTION.

Do not give them personal information.  If they were half as legitimate as they claim, they would not be hounding people who happen to have the same first and last name at the wrong numbers and they would be willing to send you something in writing.

Put their number on a contact with a muted ring tone, or block them all together.  Things are bad enough without listening to these creeps.
