This number has repeatedly called my cell phone looking for someone else. I don't usually answer, this time they caught me unawares as it was early in the morning and I was so sound asleep, I thought it was my alarm going off. Some person with an accent told me to hold, but I just hung up. I have limited minutes on my cell and am not going to waste them by some person putting me on hold I know nothing about.   Also, the comments on here said the person/people were rude--if it is from Minnesota, they are usually very kind, considerate, polite people there.  Guess bullying for a debt got to them!!!

I received a call on my cell phone from this 800-440-2188 number at 5:59 PM (EDST) on July 26, 2012.  I was told by a woman with an accent to please hold while my call was being transferred.  Then I was put on hold with music playing. After about a minute, there was a click and the call ended with no one answering after I was put on hold.  I do not want these kind of calls.  If this is a collection agency, It couldn't be for me, because I do not owe anybody or company any arrears of any kind.

Got calls from this number. Called their corporate number. Talked to Jessica, (a very nice lady)  She took my numbers off the auto dialer after I confirmed I was not the person she was looking for. The a$$ that called me was rude. I hung up on him and called the corporate number. She affirmed I would not be bothered again. ACS collections is the company. 800-859-7435 is the main number. I get call though out the day and I work nights.  When I answer they hang up.  So I call them back this morning and told them I was recording the call and then told them to stop calling no call so far but tomorrow is a new day

No idea who is calling from this number but I disconnect as soon as my caller id shows this number. You can call the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) with a complaint at 877-FTC-HELP. The Do Not Call List is a joke and unlisted or out of area calls are to avoid detection for reporting.

u have to renew your new call list every 3 months on the other hand..... if it is a survey company that doesnt apply because they are not solicitng for funds or selling anything...

Associated Credit, but you have to drag it out of them.   Rude woman wanted to call and "verify" employment for a guy.  Very mean about it.  She didn't get anywhere with me, so now when they call, no one speaks when I answer.

They posted a Job on career builder then trace your info to call you about any old debt you may have if you applied to there job posting.

Debt Collector for Target Stores.  Calling for previous owner of cell phone number I just obtained.  I asked them to take the number out of their system and they said they would.  Received call at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon.  After some talking to the rep and getting the info I got, I figured I would put it on here for anyone else trying to figure it out.  We'll see if I get any more calls.

They called my number looking for someone else with the same last name, but different first name. I asked what they were calling about and wouldn't tell me, only that they are with ACS...they must be a debt collector or something. they refused to talk further unless I verified I was the person they were looking for and I was not.

They are a creditor.  No call lists don't apply.

i hate people that call my phone 30 times in a 20 min time limit!!!  and demand to talk to some one! when u ask them what it's about and they tell u it's not ur business,it is when u keep callingmy phone!!!

they called my cell numerous times looking for someone that i have never heard of.  supposedly putting my cell as their "home number".  annoying and it sounded like they didnt believe me that i didnt know anything of them.

Called a number here at my place of business; hung up when I answered. Called them back and gave a list of numbers to take off of their dialer (12 or so numbers roll to my desk). They seemed to be agreeable to deleting the numbers.

received calls that I did not answer; owe none of the creditors listed here and do NOT appreciate the bothersome calls.
