I have been persistantly called by this number at all hours of the day. I am on the do not call registry, yet they continue to call, at least three to four times a week. Sometimes more often. I will not pick up any 1-800 numbers, yet they still call.

I get three or four calls a week from 1-800-450-9135, I never answer calls from 1-800 numbers anyway, but this one is persistent.  I presume if it was anything important, they would leave a message, but they never do.

I leave cards of people who give me their cards.

This is the Fund for the Public Interest, a nonprofit which works on environmental issues. If you ask them they'll take you off their list.

OK - so when I submit a resume to a jobsite that I have never heard of before and this starts happening.
I would just shrug it off to chance but it has happened more than once.  Coincidence? Maybe.  Tired of it? Yes!

Just got this call again. I called them back. An environmental group from all over. Listed to the whole speal, and at the end it said if you do not wish to be contacted by phone, please enter your phone including area code, and they will remove my phone number from their list within three business days. We shall see.............

I'm in Boston, and keep getting calls from this number as well.  I would report it, but I haven't been on the Do Not Call list for more than 31 days.  It should be noted that the Do Not Call guidelines do not apply to charities.

I called back and the girl (automated) said that it was the Fund for Local Interest working with Environmental America and then she lists a load of others and finishes by saying "And others..."  Jesus, that covers everybody on the planet it seems.

Same thing.  Got a call late night...didn't pick up, and a call back gives you nothing.  It's prolly just some machine running down a list saying "are you a small business owner looking to expand your capital?"  ALSO!!! Beware of those buckets for business cards at lunch spots offering a free lunch drawing.  there is usually fine print that says they are going to share your information with this firm and that firm...it's a bunch of CRAP!!!

environmental america is the culprit. i received a call, did not answer, but i called back and that was the automated message system.

No one was there when I answered.

I just got a call, Googled the number and found this. The caller did not leave a voicemail. I'm on the DNC as well. I'm in the Detroit area, so I'm not sure if this is a regional thing.

I don't answer calls that appear as unavailable on my caller ID but I am bugged nonetheless by the interruption

This number has been calling me everyday, various times.  I tried to call it back and it is a non-working #. No message is ever left. I am also on the DNC so I don't know why I am receiving this call.

I received a call and was told the called was from "Wisconsin Environment".
Told me he wanted to tell me about how they were working on renewable energy in Wisconsin and to get my renewal.  There was a very short sentence about working on renewable energy, then he said last year I had donated $35.  I keep very exact records of who I donate to and I have never heard of "Wisconsin Environment".  I even asked him to repeat the name to be sure I had it right.  I told him I never donate over the phone--only by mail and he would have to mail something to me which he said he would, although he kept trying to get me to commit to donating $35.

8 calls this past week.  Not a great PR approach.  Very annoying.

Twice every day .. EVERY DAY they call now.  I have never given my number out so they have acquired it through some other means.  They are the reason I try not to give to non-profits at all anymore.  It's like feeding a stray dog. They keep coming back for more and more and more.

The fund for the Public Interest (ffpir.org) does hard core telemarketing calls to get you to donate money to their organization...Found their recruiting ads online...and those who want a call job with this organization are to call a PAT WOOD  at 617 292 8050...perhaps those being hassled by these unwanted phone calls should call Ms. Wood and ask her to take your number off her call sheets.  They are suppose to have call offices in Boston, Portland, Oregon and Sacramento, CA....I wonder if this group does solicitation calls for MASSPIRG...note the similarity  to fffpir.org...CALPirG was started in Sacramento....I think these are  the calling centers of this organization which advocates for environmental issues.

I remember when non profits used to respect people and wouldn't badger people by making unwanted calls into their home. I am almost sure this is MASSPIRG's call center.

Same here in Connecticut.  It's an environmental group asking for donations.  They hit me last year, but will not answer this year.

Identified himself as calling on behalf of "Environment Virginia" (I'm in Virginia).  Upon inquiring further, I found out this is part of the national organization called "MASSPIRG" - aka "Massachusetts Public Interest Research Group".  See www.masspirg.org .

Could have sworn I went over this last year with this number.  This time they call when I am not home.
Just Toll Free Call does not warrant answering anyway.
