Just got this letter saying to call them to confirm my address for my id# to be able to be placed in a drawing to win $1,100,000.00.....i knew it was a scam...thank you for this web site!! I did call them & they did not even ask me about my address!!! Went right into magazines & watches & was asking me & responding to my answers so ridiculous & stupid like.......i told the guy that ur companies letter said to call to confirm address only....the guy was quick to get me over to his supervisor to confirm my order ...which i did NOT place or said i wanted it.....so i hung up. lol These people are going to hell for trying to steal peoples money.

This company promised me a $25 gift card, but charged me over $300 for magazines I did not want! do NOT deal with them tell them to stick their magazines where the sun don't shine!

SO... what does all this mean?
Whether or not it is actually a SCAM (we still have yet to hear of an actual Winner from this "sweepstakes") it is definitely the work of SCUM... the kind of people that will push the limits of what is allowed by law, and occasionally (or frequently) violate it.

If you choose to deal with these people, you will most likely regret it. The "sweepstakes" is a marketing tool aimed at getting you to contact them so that they can push unwanted sales and abuse your personal and financial information. it has been dangled in front of us for over 3 years in it current form without any reward, so don't let false hope lure you into that nightmare of abuse that these people are notorious for.

Order your magazines from a reputable source, and buy a lottery ticket. You'll be happier for it.

If you receive a letter from them through the mail...DO NOT CALL THEM !!!!
If you do they will not only harass you through the mail but NOW they have your phone number.

I just received a letter today saying I have until November 24th to 1-800-454-6247 and enter the $1,100.000.00 sweepstakes. I will be notified by mail and required to complete, sign and have notarized and affidavit or eligibility If I win I will receive my money is about 14 days. NO NAME OF COMPANY.

I am also glad this was here to confirm what I thought was fake. I am throwing this mess away.

I received a lettergram saying to call this # to claim my entry into a big buck sweepstakes
I called  and they are out of florida trying to sell magazines.

Who called me??

This is a scam company, I called them and no answer.  I called it again, 10 rings for them to pick, and the accent the guy had was Chinese.  Don't fall for them, they're a scam company to locate where you live in the US.

Got the same letter as everyone else and same award winnings amount. Very insisting on magazine sales and passed to a couple of people before I hung up. Scam

Correction to above posting:  It came in the Email, not over the phone.

My 88 year old mother called that number just Friday.  She said the drawing was to be in 2012.  She also gave them her address and supposedly bought a couple magazine subscriptions from them.  Anybody know what is likely to happen?  BTW:  It came in the mail, not over the phone.

I called them entered the contest then hung up I didn't give them any info. I wasn't even rude to em just hung up the lady just kept taking as soon as I was tranfered I hung up muwahaha muwahaha!!!!

I recieved my letter today 1-24-2011 .  They are cleavor because they dont put the name of the company on the letter or evelope.  But they use NME which means National Magizine Exchange call 1-800-454-6247 and provide prize entry sweepstakes # 359196107.  It says each winner will be notified by mail & required to complete, sign, and notarize an affidavit of eligibility.  Release of liability , it should be received w/i 14 days of date printed on notification.  If selected you will win 1,100,000.00. delivered w/i approximately 14 days of recieving your executed affidavit. Last day to respond Feburary 10,2011...  It states also it can be paid in 1 lump some of 550,000.00 or 30 annual payments of 36,666.67.  this is probably most people gross income anyway.  I am glad this was out here i will be throwning mine away.

got my letter and called the number very persistent on trying to sell you  magazines . i told them no . wanted credit card number said no next time i will answer Bob orphange yu make em we take em have a good day

I work for publishers clearing house and I get calls all day about this number! It is a scam dont answer them or share any info. with them!!
