I was scammed last night on craigslist. I was trying to contact a girl, she gave me a story, that to verify my idenity, I was to sign up for a free idenity service, and I would never get charged, showed $0.00 after I gave them stupidly one of my credit card numbers, and picked a username and password, and e-mail address. After I gave them the info, I received an e-mail thanking me for signing up for allelitepass.com Site URL: http://members.elitedollars.com. with a subsciption ID #.  At the bottom it has a link to http://www.membershipserve.com
After researching on the web, this girl did 5 scamms last night, I reported to complaintsboard.com, and will be contacting the FTC.
Do not go to the link at bottom of page to cancel membership, go to
http://www.theloghelp.com for immediate help. You would normally get that website info, after they charged your card, from your credit card statement.  I found out from a post from some-one else, who was scammed, to go directly to http://www.theloghelp.com, and cancel through the on-line 24 hour live chat.  I cancelled the membership, which I never signed up for, and got a cancellation e-mail a few minutes later.
Boy was I stupid.

I had two charges of $40 in two days. It gave me two different numbers to call. I called 1-800-541-9304 and talked to a representative. I gave the the card number it was taken from and she pulled up the record. Somebody had charged my card to two adult websites without my knowledge. i simply basked for a refund and she told me I will get the refund and my card number will be blocked in their data base just in case it ever happens again. I was very pleased on how easy it was to take care of it.

i am in britain and cannot phone this number.
i have phoned my bank company, and cancelled my debit card.
i signed up for a free trial of a website but cancelled the subscription before the trial period was over.
they said that a payment went through which i made, but then two for £1 each which i didnt.
does this mean they will be charging me the full money, or now that i have cancelled my debit card will the transaction not go through.

Ok more info. The company behind ALL of this is elitedollars.com. They own the website which is doing the fraudulent charges to allelitepass.com. Apparently there are legitimate websites out there who are doing business with them and don't know about these problems. When you go to do business with them you end up getting charged by the bogus website as well. In otherwords if you sign up for 1 website you are automatically being signed up for allelitepass without your knowledge. And yes there are adult sites who are doing legit business and don't know this as well. Your best bet is to file a complaint with the IC3! I have done so and hope others will do so as well. It will take you a few minutes to fill out the form but it is worth it in the end.

My son had that charge on his account from GTC.  It came as a result of clicking on a discount coupon when he ordered flowers on 1-800-flowers.com.  I called the company and had to insist it be reversed.  We also had the bank reverse and had to get a new debit card.

i made the above post and have a question for everyone... where do you use youre card online? i.e. ebay, paypal, amazon.com, etc. I'm curious if one of the sites has possibly been hacked or compromised and had card information stolen. i personally use paypal fairly frequently.

All of this happened to me as well as charges to other companies that take payment for adult web sites. all of the other companies had all of my correct information (full name email etc.) but through talking to the other companies i also found that the  charges were routed through a debit card that i replaced at least a month before the charges began and had been deactivated. im not sure how the billing still went through to my bank account since the card was supposed to be deactivated, but will be visiting my bank first thing in the morning and see if they can give any additional information.

I made the above post. After a little more research I found that the adult website I supposedly signed up for was allelitepass.com. On top of that the company that runs that website is called Elite Dollars. They offer a way for you to get your website noticed and used from what I gather. All in all this is a scam and I dont know exactly how they got my informatin. But they had my real name and e-mail when I spoke to the customer support person. I am going to go into this further and find out how I can get them prosecuted for committing fraud. I really think that the elite dollars site is behind this since they either 'host" the site or own it. As mentioned above allelitepass on thier webpage it says they are in Cypress. Hope this helps someone else.

I didnt get a call but I was checking my bank account info. and I saw a charge from GTC Enterprises for $38.88 and I had NO CLUE who this was. I tried the number with the charge and it was disconnected. I followed the above info. and called the other number and reached a person saying they worked for 24/7 Customer Support. What a name for the company. The lady told me I had a membership to a adult website which I had not purchased. Of course I was upset and wanted a refund and to cancel whatever this was. She did cancel the supposed membership and when I wanted a refund she forwarned me that doing so would make it very hard for me to get an  approved membership to 1 of the adult sites they service in the future! So what, I wanted my money back! Anyway WATCH OUT people. I hope they bust whoever is behind this cause I know I didnt sign up for whatever they had charged me for.

I have had re-ocurring charges from several companies, one of them GTC.  most of them i managed to have reversed after some internet detective work.  I contacted GTC in Florida and spoke with a woman who owns the company.  THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT GTC.  She did, however, inform me that she's had over 1000 calls in the last week alone.  Her legal team has tracked the charges to the island of Cypress.  This explains the CY on your bank statement.  She also told me this is now an international fraud scam and the FBI is now involved.  Her number is 888 296 7139.  She's not responsible, but knows more than I do.  The only way to stop the charges is to cancel yo card.

I just had 3 charges - 2 from HHC and 1 from GTC - called the 800-778-9583 number and found out that they are all subscriptions to online porn sites. They asked me if I wanted to cancel the subscriptions - I replied yes and that I wanted the refund for the 3 already charged. I also contacted the bank to file a claim. All i can say to those of us that purchase products online - BEWARE! always check your accounts - probably a good idea to do it couple of times a week. I have changed debit cards 2 times this year and 5 times in last 6 years.
