this number they stated they were Magic Jack- stated that you ordered from a loan or payday loan and it was a trial order and the 7 days was up! It was a $34.95 payment- in which I didn't order anything from this company- i DON'T EVEN HAVE Magic Jack- I have a land line. so apparently it is connected to something- watch out- and watch you checking accounts for anything and have it dismissed.! Immediately! don't agree to any loans or payday loans or anything extra trials. keep an eye on it and get it off now!!

!Numbers for Magic Jack are:  Call 281-404-1551 to reach the MagicJack customer service department

SATURDAY, 01 DECEMBER, 2012:  STARTED RECEIVING CALLS TO MY CELLPHONE STARTING AT 4:03 AM

I'M 72, AND A RETIRED UPS PILOT SINCE 2000.

I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY KIND OF STUDENT LOAN A DAY IN MY LIFE.

I HAVE NO CHILDREN, HENCE NO STUDENT LOAN(S).

WHAT ACS NEEDS TO DO IS ASSOCIATE MY CELLPHONE NUMBER ON THE STUDENT LOAN APPLICATION WITH THE FIRST AND LAST NAME, SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, DATE OF BIRTH AND ADDRESS ON THE STUDENT LOAN APPLICATION AND GO FROM THERE.

800-508-0806 IS ON MY CELLPHONE BLOCK LIST, SO MY PHONE NEVER RINGS.

Born: 1947 (65 years ago)

Graduated High School: 1964

Graduated Air Force Academy: 1968

Retired Air Force: February 2000

Children: Son and daughter.  Both graduated from Universities with 100% fully paid scholarships

Current residence:  Mountain View, CA

September 10, 2012: Received first call from ACS (1-800-508-0806) at 7:04 am. I answered my cell phone

and immediately the prerecorded message asked for my social security number and account number.

I never, never give my as number to (just) anyone via telephone let alone to a machine especially since I have
no way of validating or verifying a real caller from a fake (spoof) caller.

Toal number of "blocked" calls between September 10th and December 2nd: 81 and counting

Total number of demand for payment letters/notices by mail: ZERO, ZILCH, NADA

The burden of proof that I owe this alledged student loan debt lies with ACS, NOT ME.

The only thing I'm waiting for now is to be served with a "Summons To Appear" in court
so that I can see and read the "evidence" against me.

I rec'd a msg from these people today on my ans machine while out and when I tried ret call they asked for acct # or SSA # which of course I didn't give them and I used my son's acct # of which I am cosignor and it was just numbers, not letters, and the msg re the acct no told me to skip letters and just use numbers.  I tried sev times using his acct # w/no results.  I am not going to contact this company.  Is this just another way of Sally Mae trying to reach me.  They call like clockwork ea mth when my son is even one day late making pmt and I consider it harrassmentt as he has never missed a pmt yet except for one mth he got forberance (to my knowledge and I have access to his acct on my computer).  He is usually a bit late ea mth but he does get the pmt made and I am sick of their harrassment!!  I am sure there are alot of people out there who have alot worse record than he does tho I know being late isn't the way it is supposed to be done but better late than never!!  He truly is doing the best he can under very trying circcumstances and if there is someone I can discuss this with I would appreciate a name and tel number other than the usual people who are only doing their job by calling ea mth but have no idea how his account really stands.

I'm getting called by these guys at least once a day. I graduated University many years ago, never even had a student loan to begin with nor do I have any kind of debt anywhere. I've talked to numerous friends and family members and they're getting calls from the same number too.

This is absolutely a scam.

I just wanted to put in my experience with this number, I called today because they have been leaving automated recordings on my voice mail for 2 people with the same last name, but, different first names (of which I have no affiliation/connection).  I called the 1-800-508-0806 number and using the trick of pressing the # sound, was able to get to an operator which happily helped me to remove my number from the account in question (without asking me any personal information at all from me).  She did seem to struggle a bit, in that she had difficulty finding the account, and did comment that she felt very lucky that she did find the account, but, happily removed me and wished me a pleasant day. :)

Stop calling my number and then hanging up.  It drives me crazy.  When you call the number back you get an automated response asking for your ID/contract number or your social security#.

Who the heck are they and why would be calling me a 70+ year old senior.
STOP THE CALLING, STOP THE CALLING.

No, it really is ACS and, trust me, they are one of the BETTER private loan servicers to deal with.

I don't think they're asking for your whole SS#.  They should be asking for the last four, which is no big deal.

I am sorry, but my college loans were paid off in 1978, and my daughter went through four years of undergrad on scholarships and dear old dad's money and is now in grad school on a full academic package. They have no reason whatsoever to be calling me, and they certainly have no legal standing in calling half a dozen times a day. The fact that there is NO way to call them and get a real person to ask questions and the only way to get past the first message on their phone is to divulge my social security number tells me that regardless of how legit they may be, they are not doing business the right way. real people are how you do business, not a blockade through which you cannot go to talk to a real person.

These people are shady, constantly calling me telling me my student loans are past due when they are not. Just trying to get me to pay more money per month which I am not required to do.

Also, have called my grandmother from this number trying to get in contact with me. They have all my contact information, and if you are not capable of either leaving me a message, giving me a real person, or emailing me, they do not deserve a call back.

Same as the rest.  Persistent calls from live person, but only leaves messages, doesn't respond if live person answers phone.  When calling 800# they ask for SSN.  Never going to do that, just want them to stop calling.  Tried all combinations I could think of but no bypass on their system to get an operator.

Our daughter keeps getting calls from "Specialized Services" with the number 800-508-0806. The message states that they are calling regarding her academic records. When we call the number, the first thing it asks you is to punch in your social security number!!

It is probably ACS, it is hard to tell as they have so many different numbers.  They can settle down, I will pay them when the F**CK I feel like paying them.  They are at the end of the line when it comes to priority bills.

Turns out they are a legitimate business and not telemarketers. They can be reached at P.O. Box 7052 Utica, NY 13504-7052.
What kind of person has a machine call someone two to four times a day, with a message that does not identify the sender, what the sender wants, or how to call a human to resolve this machine harassment. Every consumer protection agency warns about giving out personal information to unknown callers. My wife gave the machine her S.S.# , but that was not good enough, the machine demanded account information too! What account? what's the number? Why should I give this to a machine used not to resolve any issue but only to torment, frustrate, and harass people like me that have no account with them. It turns out that my married daughter who lives elsewhere with her husband does have an account with them though. Her payments are sent automatically each month exactly as they wanted, but somehow they have decided that she owes an extra $25.00 this month.  My daughter paid this, but since these people seem to be extremely rude and uncaring (I can't say what I want it's illegal) I will probably get more calls tomorrow. Thanks to this thread I found out who they were, and my wife contacted them at https://www.acs-education.com/CS/Jsp/general/home.jsp
