I currently work at olympia. We take phone surveys! we are exempt from the do not call list. we dont pick what numbers we call either. and dont be mad at us...we are trying to make a living too. Its not like we enjoy bothering you guys. I hate it when people call me...BUT WE NEED JOBS TOO. im sorry guys. Ive never called anyone more than once. But that just me. i have no control over other people. like i said we dont pick your numbers. we read from a script. the only way to call you back is if you ask for a call back and we hit call back in one hour. if you keep getting calls, then call the local number and give my boss the name of the rep that keeps calling you. thats all the advice i can give. REPORT THE REP AT THE LOCAL NUMBER LISTED ABOVE!

They were calling for donations for Special Olympics.

What do you mean can't blame them, they don't say anything IT'S VERY ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called and ask for my name to be taken off so we will see.

The "do-not-call" list is ONLY for TELEMARKETERS.  It does not cover all the other a***oles such as surveys, charities, etal, who bug you night and day.

If the folks calling are third party (hired guns) then they have to offer an "opt-out" by law.  If the charity, etal, call direct, then then is no such opt-out available.

A simple read of the Do Not Call site explains all this in detail.

Another call from this nyumber, same results, they call, answering machine picks gets it and nothing. I hope they like me message on my machien..They want a donation, they can give me one as I can use the money..

Another call from this number and as before, the answering machine answered and nobody said a word. It is 9:00 pm at night and I was hitting the bed as before, somebody peeping in my window and know when to call, bunch of a**les..

I got a call from this number everyday for the last week.  Today they left a message and said they were calling from Penn Foster and that I had written a check to them and put two different amounts on the check.  I never heard of Penn Foster and never wrote them a check.   I also am on the DNC list and will be reporting them.

Just got this call on my answering machine and nobody said anything , as usual. I was in bed, jsut had turned out the light when I go this call. I don;t answer calls that I don't reconize the number, that is what I have  machine for but it is a pain in the but to be bothered by these calls all hours of the night. I am non the NCR as well.

Was called at 6:30pm on a Thursday. Called the number and a recorded message came on:
"If you would like to be added to our 'do not call list', please remain on the line and leave a message with your phone number, including area code. If you would like to speak to a representative, please press 0." I pressed 0 after-hours, and when prompted to press 0 for their After-Hours Sales Division, I did...and it did nothing but ring 10 times, then cycled back to the previous recording of "Thank you for calling Olympia. Our Administrative offices are currently closed. If you would like to reach our After-Hours Sales Division, please press 0..."

If you have to put the 'do not call list' prompt as the inital greeting for the number your organization called from...it says something about your M.O.

This number has been calling 2 or 3 times a week.

The same number called me too. It just called twice and never leaves a message. Numbers I don't know, I don't answer either. I'm also registered on the Do Not Call List. But I heard that it doesn't matter anyway. If your in the phonebook, they'll still call.

Called 4 times within 15 minutes on 8/15/07.  I will not answer "Unknown Name" callers and I'm registered on the Do Not Call list.

THEY CALLED AND SAID THEY WERE CALLING ALL THE BUSINESSES IN THE ARE REGARDING A SPORT EVENT FOR HANDICAPPED?? WHO KNOWS...WOULD NOT GIVE HER CALL BACK NUMBER OR LEAVE A NAME TO CALL BACK.

They are Olympia out of Conway Arkansas and you can call them back by using their own number; 800-676-7600. This is the number for their administrative offices that you can call and talk to a real person.  If it's after hours, wait for the ext. number and you will get a live person who is required to be on call with the company.  Let them know that this is not acceptable.

called me on 2-11-10. I don't answer calls with no name.

I heard they not only do research of some kind but they call and ask people for money to donate for non-profit, such as special olympics. The only problem is only a VERY small portion of the proceeds actually benefit the charity. They say "x" percent of the net, but what's the net? The bottom line is only 10 or 15 percent of the actual money is going to the charity. By the way, if they call you and you're on the do not call list, you can file suite against them AND WIN. Contact the attorney general and they will guide you. These people are rip offs and if they call you, the best thing you can do is report them.

I've have worked at Olympia and I will tell you what they do.

They actually provide two different services...

One is to do market research (surveys) which they have been hired by outside companies to conduct.

They were also hired by the special olympics to raise money for their events.


Olympia is providing a service to the companies that hire them. You can't blame Olympia for taking the business of people that want to use their phone services.

Adding yourself to this company's DO NOT CALL LIST rather than the national do not call list or whatever is the only way to stop them from calling you.

1-800-513-4512 call and do not leave messages or call back information.  They called and asked for my wife and I said hold on and I will get to the telephone, I then said who is this, and they hung up the phone.  The caller is the Olympia Research, Inc., of Conway, Arkansas.  They say that if you call 1-800-513-4512 they will put you on their do not call list.  They represent the Arkansas Special Olympics.  After hours you can call 1-800-676-7600 x 2400 for Elizabeth Reynolds and make your complaint in a person to person contact.

I just called and spoke to Don. He was not aware calls were going out so frequently. I suggest that anyone else with these calls do the same. He will take your number off the list.

Just got a call wanting us to participate in sporting events and called their number back to take me off of their calling list. I understand businesses are exempt from the national DO NOT CALL list!

Surveys and research calls are exempt from no-call.

Olympia is an outbound call center than does fund raising for non-profits such as Special Olmpics Florida where less than 20% of the acutal "Net" revenue to given to the non-profit. I know this for a fact. Someone should report this to the newspapers so they can publish a statewide article in the papers stating how much money the charity receives.
