Debt Collector
This phone number is for Pinnacle Financial group. They call me numerous times a week from VARIOUS numbers. They're calling to collect for a t-mobile account. Typically when a debt collection company calls you it is via auto dialer. It usually takes a couple of seconds from the time you say hello to the time a rep answers you (the computer is connecting you to a live person.) Which is why you are greeted by silence when you answer. This is usually a dead sign of a collection company. Sometimes the computer drops the call before you are connected. Either way it's irritating. Another dead sign of a collection company is ?I?m calling in regards to a personal business matter.? Debt collection companies do no have to abide by the do not call registry, as they are calling to collect on a balance owed and the registry is to protect people from soliciting or people trying to sell you something. Its stated clearly on the DO Not Call website under More information - Information for Consumers NOT CHARITIES, SURVEY'S POLITICAL CALLS OR DEBT COLLECTORS. BUT collection companies do have to abide by FDCPA Laws and if they have the wrong number and you explain that to them, they are not suppose to continue to call. The FDCPA is also the reason they do not leave messages, as it is against the law for them to do so. I will leave this message on every phone number they call me from.

They're Website:
http://www.pfgservices.com/

It?s getting difficult to keep up with all their phone numbers. So far I have 42 of them!!!! 209-214-6155, 312-957-7311, 316-712-0238, 330-752-1927, 410-779-3599, 479-431-4459, 570-301-6003, 610-295-5284, 612-455-0924, 612-455-0929,612-455-0930, 612-455-0941, 614-335-4143, 651-379-0583, 660-223-0036, 662-553-4099, 706-955-4140, 707-200-4002, 763-746-9049, 781-836-4014, 786-837-7312, 800-513-6852, 800-516-4176, 800-850-1189, 800-868-9265, 814-806-1250, 845-652-5056, 866-398-9098, 877-207-6933, 877-208-4973, 877-209-4163, 877-540-3704, 877-796-2554, 877-796-2561, 877-798-4185, 877-891-2680, 888-850-1189, 916-912-4737, 952-345-5339, 952-358-5916, 952-460-7381

Keep in mind man, that 10 to 20 percent is a huge number in the grand scheme of things. If they wernt operating within the law they would be out of business. The FTC and Department of Commerece would pull their liscense. You mentioned 95 percent of collectors are shady, I can't argue with that. Me on the other hand I'm not shady. I think it's important to make sure my debtors are well informed. I want then to know their rights. I don't run through FDCPA regs on every call either. Let me put it like this, when it comes to payment i accept post dated checks, debit or credit card. in fact i'll even accept a check by mail. Just because I'm a debt collector don't mean I've never been called by a debt collector. For all your people out there that seem to think debt collectors make the big bucks, think again. On an eight hour shift I'm told off about 20 times and hung up on at least 700 times. You think I enjoy that? I realize there are people out there that lost their jobs, at the same time they need to find another job. Think of it like this Collectoin companys to debtors are like a drug rehab centers to drug addicts. Nobody wants to have to go to rehab but seeing as they cant stop using drugs there has to be someone that will force them to stop . Collection companys are the same way. People dont want to be in debt but the longer they go with out paying a bill the less of a priority it becomes. Collection companys contact a debtor and make paying the bill a priority again. See a debtor at one time had to opertinuity to make small monthly payments to the creditor, and they failed to do that . We just enforce the original contract.
Yeah man some collection companys are shady. I can assure you Pinnacle is not shady. Seeing as you really want to know I used to work there. Every collection company has a j*** off or two that works there, If ya have collection accounts you need to get in touch with a debt collector that takes 3 things into consideration, a reasonably fair time limit to resolve the debt, You're ability ro repay the debt and the need for the debtor to be able to enjoy some of THEIR money while paying off the debt at the same time. When I set someone up on payments I'm not looking at cleaning out their fridge. I want to know the payments are manageable for them without having them pull their pockets inside out.People HAVE to be able to enjoy some of their money . Who wants to go to work all week to have to give their whole paycheck away? .. Anyway hope that clears up at least some of your claims that Pinnacle is shady.

Steph you are a complete idiot! You cant wait for us to call so you can tell us we cant call you? You know these laws cause your a telemarketer? Your a joke! see the laws that govern telemarketers don't apply to a debt collector. So, my advice to you is before you start shooting your mouth off on a message board you might want to have a clue as to what your talking about.

We lie? My guess is if your being called by a debt collector you used your good name to obtain some credit then screwed your creditor. In other words you lied to your creditor untill you obtained your line of credit then gave the creditor the big FU. To be honest i pulled the 75 billion out of my hat based on what i last heard - it wasent a lie  it was simply a guess. see i wasent concerned with accurate stats. My point is the same tho, do you think if that low couple hundred million as you say wasent recovered prices would be what they are now

yes i do believe the prices will not rise, they realize if they continue to raise there prices and then they will not have any  business at all.
most stores have sales so the customers will keep on buying.
what i don't understand is why would you work for a sleazy company like pinnacle, they constantly violate the fdcpa law there lawyer names sue(something) was caught lying in court, they been caught stealing monies from peoples account and lying all the time.
people if you decide to make payments with this sleazy company and its debt collectors don't ever send them a check they will have your account number and routing number and the name of your bank then they will behind your back take all the monies out of your account...also never use a credit card because they will max it out on you....always send money orders,,also if you write them a letter don't sign it,,but write down I'm not signing this letter because i heard that you can take my signature from my letter and transfer it on an approval debit form and then clean out my bank account make sure you write that down to cover yourself.
if you can do not do any businesses with pinnacle finance they are the lowest slim ball companies just like there debt collectors.. friendly debt collector should get a job for a good collection company or a security job

You're right up to a point. You need to advise the debt collector he or she is incurring you charges to collect a debt. Request the number be removed. Make no mistake, we can call you on your cell to make contact. At that time you have the right to request the cell number be removed.

yes i do believe the prices will not rise, they realize if they continue to raise there prices and then they will not have any  business at all. -- Oh really? You are claiming that if debt collectors stop recovering bad debt the price of americas goods wont go up.  Ask yourself this, If everybody stopped paying their debt, is it good for the country? Think about that. If everyone stopped paying their debt, that would create a complete economic disaster So its a good thing you're not running the show.
----why would you work for a sleazy company like pinnacle--- Who said I work for pinnacle? I just stated I work for a debt collection company. Believe me, I didn't grow up hoping to be a bill collector. It's a pay check.  ----don't ever send them a check they will have your account number and routing number and the name of your bank then they will behind your back take all the monies out of your account----
That is just a bunch of bull--- You claiming this company steals money from people.
That's odd seeing as they are listed with the BBB, department of commerece, and FTC.
On a second note, how long do you think they would be in business if they did that. Based on what I've red they have been doing biz for 4 years.  Wow man, your whole idea about not signing any forms is
is almost funny outside of the fact I know you're serious. In case you didnt know when you write out a check and give it to a cashier at a gas station or grocery store any one of them people can take the info off the bottom of your check and create a debit, This is really going to get your goat, They don't even need your signature. This is my guess, you did a post dated check with this company
to stop collection efforts and to keep a delquient debt from being reported to your credit history.
Seeing as you cant balance a check book for s**t it caused you to overdraft.
Now your mad about it. This company operates within the law otherwise they wouldnt still be in business.

first..I'm not talking about everybody stopped paying there debt I'm talking about the 10-20 percent who cant pay anymore because they lost there jobs due to the economy.
second..you said that you never mentioned pinnacle so why are you on there 800 notes defending them and if you don't work for them how do you know they working within the law.
third...i feel lot safer giving a check to a gas station then a sleazy debt collection company like pinnacle.
fourth... how long will they be business probably for a long time it does take time to close down sleazy companies,,
fifth...signing forms yes they do that my neighbor was subjected that illegal transfer of her signature i am not saying pinnacle has done it,,but if they knew how THEY WOULD DO IT..
last...i never would post-date a check to a collection agency because they always send the check to the bank before the post date,,i always pay my bills on time and never over-drafted my account..
the reason why i do this is to and try to help people who doesnt know the law and to tell them about sleazy companies using scare tactics on them..now tell me debt collectors don't do that.
ps...im glad you didn't want to be a sleazy debt collector but you have to admit that a good 95 percent of debt collectors lie will do anything to get there small percentage of collections from people..would you tell a person who is on ssn that we cannot sue you because your protected from the law we are not allowed to sue people on ssn...i don't think so...

Yeah sue debt collectors thats a good idea. What do you suppose would happen if everyone sued a debt collector. Think the prices of stuff would come down a bit? I dont think so. In 2009 debt collectors recovered over 75 billion dollars in bad debt. So text time your being called by a debt collector remember your not part of the solutions your part of the problem! Heres a great idea lets starting sueing the debtor. Now thats a solution to the problem!

Pinnacle Financial Group 800-516-4176.  I'm sure this is a collection agency because I owe a lot of medical bills I have no funds to pay.  I've tried to arrange a payment schedule I could afford with a different collector and told them if they would accept what I could afford to pay, without sending it to collections and screwing up my credit, I would pay them until it was payed in full.  They were pissed and wanted me to take out a loan to pay them, open up a credit card to put the full amount on the credit card or find the cash!!!  I sent them several payments and then found out they reported it to a collection agent and it was on my credit report.  I decided there was no sense in even making the effort to pay them since they already screwed me and it's really difficult for me to find even a little money to pay each month, and reported it to the credit agencies so now this number calls all of the time.  I'm sure that's the only thing it could be.  I will never, ever answer!  They can call all day, every day.  You can't get blood from a stone!  Just thought the rest of you might want to know.
Caller ID: Pinnacle Financial Group

We returned the call immediately to advise them they had the wrong #. She answered the phone "Hello". It wasn't even a full minute between the calls, & it was the same woman who left the message. I asked if this was a business & what business. She asked for our phone # then looked it up & said "Uh yeah .. uhm Pinnacle Financial" & that they're a collections company.

Hello? She didn't know who she had just phoned or what company she represented, until she looked up the phone #. Didn't have caller ID & answered the phone with just a "hello". Some "business".

Asked if they were responsible for the 9 hang-ups we've had in 2 days. Said her records showed they left 1 voicemail (they did not. FRAUD) & 2 hang-ups (admission). If the call really had been for us, there is no way we'd business with them.
