Recorded voice leaves a criptive message saying, "it's urgent that you call about your cable service before 9:30pm tonight." This was the second message in two days

These people actually do represent Comcast, and do make automated phone calls on past due accounts that Comcast sends them. It isn't there falut, it's Comcast's. When comcast sends the account it is past due or appers to be by Comcast. these people just do their job but they can only do it as good as the imformation they have which Comcast provides and update's. If you've had to deal with these people and Comcast and you actaully listen and don't yell you'll find out that it's Comcast that is the fraud because they can get away with everything because they have a monoply ever since they took over Adelphia.
Thank you
And remember their there doing a job to make a buck just like you do! So save your blood pressure and dont take your Comcast problems out on them.

This company calls me three times a day and when I contacted Comcast my account was not delinquent. The Comcast representative was not familiar with the 1800-532-0493 number that the company tells you to call back. I was told by Comcast that this may be a "fishing" attempt to acquire personal information from individuals.

I have received a call from 703-757-7200 three times now telling me to call 800-532-0493. First time I called back - they told me that they had no idea why I was being called and that it was a sales call. How annoying is that??? Calling with a sales call 3 days in a row?

I got two of these calls. Just contacted regular Comcast rep to see what this was about. She said our account is not deliquent, but I should call the number because it might be a promotion. I'll pass on that suggestion.

Yes, they are definitely from Comcast regarding late payments.

Call was from a third-party Accounts Receiveable manager on behalf of Comcast Cable. They identify themselves as "Customer Retention Center", and will be more specific if you ask what company they represent. As they are 3rd-party, it takes time for the company that hired them to communicate payments made on your account. You may therefore receive an "urgent request to contact" them, even if your payments are up to date. The turnaround seems to be as long as 10 days.

We got a message from 17037577200 telling us to call this number back, they did not say who they were on the message, and it does not say who they are when you call the number. It just places you on hold.
Most likely to do with Comcast collections. Just call comcast directly if this is the case.
