bill collectors. its why they wouldnt tell u who they were b4 you told them who u were. they r trying to get their monies.

They just started calling me and they do not leave a message.

The first words out of their mouth were "this call will be monitored" They asked for "name" and would not tell me what company they are calling from.

Talk to them, be rude to them. Try to keep them on the phone as long as possible. If all of us will do this, it will result in much larger telephone costs for them. Be rude and act as crazy as possible to them. Desperate people get jobs as telemarketers, if we can help make it just impossible, they will be forced to pay higher wages to these people. If the person you are talking to is foreign (India, China or something) then be happy knowing their phone call costs even more. Keep them on the line as long as possible. Obviously, don't give them any information about yourself.

i got a call saying they were the irs and i had to make a payment by friday or they are going to garnish my wages. i gave them my address then realized if they are the government they should no my address right? i am so not siure what to do

They are calling my house on a daily basis from at least 2 different numbers (866-726-5723 AND 800-573-0873)..........They don't leave any messages........I called their 800 number once just to learn that they are collecting for Sallie Mae Loans (which I NEVER had).

I have a common name and I just recently got Sallie Mae to quit calling my number, NOW these idiots are calling for Sallie Mae.....what's up with that ??????

these people call my house looking for relatives. i'd like to know

I keep getting calls on my cell phone about a relative's student loan, I keep answering and telling them to stop calling me since I can't reach the relative, they say they have made the notes to stop calling, but I still don't get removed. I have stressed many times I don't have available minutes to use and they call anyway.

It is GRC (as listed above in previous post; just so you know, they also call from 513-469-1472 with CID saying "Ohio Call."

(800) 537-0873 yeah they keep calling me and I have told them this bill was my sons after he finishes school look at the real copy's and they got so rude with me I don't care to ever talk to them again a parent loan took out for sons education and he was not to pay on it until Nov 2010 and now they keep bugging me and telling me they want full payment I went threw allot of bull with all the ppl on this and they pushed me around like a sack of potato's

This is a collection agency for Sallie Mae a Federal Student Loan Company. They will withold nothing to try to collect money. If someone used his name as a reference then they will call him if the person can not pay on their student loan.

Call cell phone repeatedly. Never had a loan!! WRONG number! Everyone needs to file a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General's Office. Companies like this need to start paying the price for harassment and using people's cell minutes up. There's a law for everything else why can't they go after businesses like this.

This company continually calls my 12-year-old child's cell phone thinking that they are reaching some deadbeat who didn't want to pay their bills.  Obviously, someone has used my child's phone number.  I will have to change the cell phone number. :(

Called at work to harass the wrong person, very rude and questionable ethics. do not think they should be allowed to continue to harass people.  This company does not know who is or might be on the other end but even if it is not the person they are looking for harassment is still the key objective.  I believe they should be put on some kind of notification for their lack of caring, and just their basic harrasment tactics.

These folks have been calling my father's phone in a nursing home.  The phone number is on the do-not-call register and they have no business calling my father how is very ill.

Who can I sue and how can I get this to stop?
