started getting calls last night

it is supose to be a collection agency that is collecting for providian credi card they wanted to close my account for $700.00 but they are not ancering ther phones i am not paying them and i believe this matter was closed with bankrupty  seven years ago.

Called at 9pm, nobody was there when I answered.

to make the calls stop from that one phone number is, after it calls, answer it then hang up, pick up like you are going to make a phone call, when you get the dial tone press *65, it blocks that number from trying to reach you anymore and simply disconnects the call before your phone even rings, if they use a different number simply repeat the process and that number will be blocked as well. hope that helps it worked for me.

I get called by these degenerates every day! how many times to I need to tell these imbeciles that I am not interested?

Called my house 16 times in 9 days.  16 freakin times!!!  Calling the customer service and telling them to stick it!!!

canadian tire sucks!

No one there when answered; call display shouled 1 800-575-5276 - when I called back, the recording said that 'all curcuits are busy - try again later'

i used call screen in my phone menu and blocked them from ever calling me from that number again they called me twice a day at the same time for weeks bits been 2 days now no phone calls yet thank god       ps,  its free

this is canadian tire financial services calling about activating roadside assistance.   i called their customer service 1 800 459 6415 and told them i dont want to get calls from them EVER.  the rep said they are taking me off the list and it may take up to 30 days to take effect. i hate telemarketers!

Call after call very annoying. Think I'll return my card and tell them to leave me alone with your add on crap. If you call them the answer is they are closed and to call back another time. Nice trick.

Same old a**holes from Canadian Tire Financial Services Roadside Assistance.
They call, but never answer.  I think it's a bunch of minimal wage telemarketers for Crappy Tire who are too afraid to actually talk to someone, so they make the calls but never pick up the phones.
Perhaps we should all boycott Canadian Tire for pulling this type of nonsense.  There are alternatives.

This is starting to border on criminal harrassment. We have a CTC card but if these unwanted calls continue we will be turning it in. If you are not happy with our answer re roadside assistance ...too bad At least when you are calling have to guts to speak to us and not just hanging up

Hey guys this is Canadian Tire.  They were calling for my sister who has a credit card with them to see if she'd want roadside assistance.

They're still calling me, despite me not answering for a week straight now.

Nobody on the line. They hang up immediately. At least once a week. If indeed Canadian Tire, how can we stop this?

they hangup when i answer the phone,when i called back their voice message said call during normal business hours to speak with an agent.
they didn't mention the company name at all.

Man, they are annoying as hell! They called me too!
I didn't have the time to waste with their call.

Got the call from this number about 7PM.
Answered the call and sat listening to silence for about 10 seconds.
Finally the other party picked up the phone and asked for me.
I responded that I was not there.
He seemed confused and asked when he could call back.
I replied that I had left just moments before and wasn't ever planning to be there again.
He seemed really confused, but nobody has called me since...
I didn't ask where he was calling from, but I also have the CT mastercard, so it makes sense.

The number was calling my mom a coule of times a day. Since she works graveyards it was bugging her during her sleep. She would answer and there would be nothing but silence. I found this site when looking up the number.

Finally my mom got so fed up she sat listening to the silence until somone finally said hello. She doesnt think they were expecting her to sit and wait for them. Then they started to read a speach about Canadian Tire and my mom said 'No'. They hung up and havent called back.

Maybe try waiting out the silence so that someone talks and then just say no... the call centre worker can then update that you answered and said no and you might be good for another year.

1-800 numbers when you get calls from 1-800 numbers answer it then immediately hit the number key on the phone as many times as you can and that screws them up and they cannot call you again for about a week do not say hello just hit the key as soon as you answer they are annoying as hell.

your lucky if they respond when you answer. ive been called 3 times daily and if i answer they hang up right away. if  i call back i get nothing but an automated answerer. canadian tire sucks.
