The minute you pay them they start calling you back with their bad accent sick of it..

Don't know who it is.  No name information shows up on caller i.d.   But they're looking for a former orthopedic practice that used to have our number.  We've had it for 16 months and still getting calls.  At first I gave them a number for another practice (in same building) in town and they called back as if they didn't believe me!!!  Pain in the neck.  I keep answering because I'm trying to explain to all these wrong numbers (this one isn't the first to call) that the ortho doctors aren't in town any more.  :-(

I guess this used to be a Law Firm, Debt Collector, or Auto Loan Company.

When I just called back, I got a Telemarketer recorded message about special offers, etc. Today's date 08/02/13, call received @ 4:09 PM EST.

up to date on pymnts, and they keep calling, please restrict them from my phone.

Left a message but did not identify the company name.

Sir, United Repair Programs, has their own phone number 800-583-8085. They are based out of St. Louis, and do not appear to have any connection with the law firm investigations. They are a legitimate,licensed and bonded insurance brokerage.

Also report them to Federal Trade Commission. there is a place to report collection agencies on their site.

they are not understanding at all.  i dealt with the same thing last year with them and told them if them to shove it and get the vehicle if they wouldn't work with me.  we moved due to MILITARY service and they still wouldn't let up at all.  they said i wasn't covered by the SCRA (servicemembers civil relief act) since i am the spouse and my husband didn't cosign on the vehicle.  load of crap if you ask me.  same here, anytime i cannot be on time with my payments, they hear my voicemail message.  they do like to call multiple times a day.  this i consider harrassment and even if you do answer and try to talk to them, be prepared to deal with disrespect and threats from them and continued calls the SAME DAY even after telling them what the situation is.

I'm helping my gradfather get out of a bunch of trouble with mail!  I just got a letter and googled the phone number and it brought me here.  Its on of their many scams using a real business name but with a fake number.  There is a major problem with these people!!!  Report them to the Federal Trade Commission and maybe if they get enough calls they will acctuly do something.  I've been in a major battle with this scam crap for over two years now.  I really wish these people would get a life and do something good with their time.

Same thing happening to me.  They are calling family members and saying papers are going to be served and it's a very important legal matter.  They call continuously and refuse to send me any paperwork or comply with the cease and desist letter I sent them.  I called the FTC and was told this is an illegitimate company and they are being investigated.  The problem is they constantly change their company name and use many phone numbers.  It's maddening!

I cosigned for my son. He was 3 weeks past-due a couple months month back due to loss of his job. Got new job and is paying extra to gt account paid to current. They call him AND me EVERY DAY insisting that we pay it current RIGHT NOW! They can't seem to understand that we're not rich and CAN'T get it paid up immediately. If they would just be a little understanding we will get it current as soon as we can! Until then they are hearing a lot of our voicemail greetings!

I just read your post about receiving a call from 800 583-1553. I just received a call from someone giving me the same return phone #, different name and extension. They asked for my wife and when I told them she was not home they started asking me many questions about my wife and her family. They stated that someone listed my wife as a relative but named 4 or 5 names that are not relatives of my wifes.
Did you ever get any resolution or do you have any advice ?
They want to call back on Monday to speak to my wife and ask her about these people that claimed to be relatives.

Let me know if you have any advice.

This company has been harrassing my mother pretty bad, threatening her, intimidating her, etc.. The guy's name is Damon Hall and yes, that is his REAL name. He's not the only one that can do a people search as it turns out.

If you've ever heard his ghetto talk, you know it's him by the pic. Cockeysville, Maryland is where he lives. It's just as easy to find him and his relatives as it is for him to find ours. Maybe I should start harrassing and threatening HIS mother, telling her I'm about to sue her and take everything she has.

They're scam artists, intimidators - basically 10 thugs (yes thugs, look at the pic on his fb profile - it's not racist if it's true) sitting around in an office making phone calls all day long seeing who they can bully.

Called but left no message.  I do have a vehicle loan with Drive Time, but the vehicle was a lemon (under Texas Law).

Litigation pending.

I got a call from this number and when I call back I was told that she made a mistake.  I do not think that is was funny as it made me very angry and did not like the fact that they did not even say sorry.

I am not in good  health  and do not like this kind of messages left for me on my phone.

I also got a call today on 3 different phone numbers, my husband cell phone, mine  and the house phone did not leave a message. If this is the case that he is calling just you people he is making a big mistake because my State does not allow that.

These people claim to be a law firm & will do back ground check on people to find out their family members.  They are a joke & Mr. Ruben can kiss my butt.  He's a poser.  If you really have a legal matter take everyone to court & serve every case you have.  Cause guess what my lawyer is trying to contact you & you're not his calls...COWARD

Said his name was Damon or David Hall, and claimed to be looking for a (non-existent) relative of mine, cited a case number & everything, just like the rest of you.

I got them to send me an e-mail and then sent them written request for documentation via us mail and a Cease Communication form.  All that did was annoy them more and they are now leaving me harrassing phone calls indicatijng "they will call whoever it takes to get this matter resolved".

Goldstein, Hendersen and Weis is a joke.  They have called me three times about different matters most recently regarding a case matter in Essex's County where I am going to be sued.  Once I identified myself as an attorney they usually hang up.  They reference a case number  of 1606157 and asked me to call 800-83-1553  x 106,  Mr. Rubin is a joke and accused me of drinking when I asked him if his mother would be proud of what he does for a living.  When they call you do not give any information to them and asked them to give you information and they will go away fast.

Received a call from Jay Holmes saying they were an attorney's office Goldstein, Henderson,Weiss and they were not a collection agency.  The number was 1-800-583-1553 ext.102.  They called me saying that H was applying for credit and gave my name.  Not true.  I do not want to be harrased by them, what do you do.

my home was called from a person named Dexter Colman from this 800-583-1553 Ext. 102 for me to call him back regarding a pending legal matter with a case number.
This caller spoke with an unknown person in my home giving them all this information about me, and alerting them to give me this message and to return the call.  
I never did return the call.  
The caller ID showed the name Goldstein Hen
I am not sure if it an attorneys office or collection agency or what??

I also got a call from the same person, Dexter Colman who mis-represented himself. He spoke to an unidentified person in my home asking questions about me, and allowing this person to know that I too was to call him back at the same phone number ext. 102  regarding my so called pending legal matter with a case number.  
How do I report this person??
