Finally picked up this call...was Chase offering to lower my APR.  I got pissed when he ("he" obviously calling from India) started asking about my bill paying habits...leave me alone!

I happen to have a Chase card, so I spoke to their fraud folks. They confirmed this is one of their telemarketing numbers. It's usually used to make offers to cardholders - offering new/more services.

I used it to request being removed from their list.

Yes.  It is Chase bank or credit card services, I did not stay on long enough to find out which.

Yep, its Chase card. In my case its an attempt to give me a business card. They called 3 times in 45 minutes with 3 different numbers. Supposedly they have put me on the "do not call list" but it takes 30 days. I really blasted this 3rd caller but I don't know how much it actually helped(but it did feel good!)

I get the calls on a constant basis. I have the pleasure (not) of having cards through chase with amazon, southwest airlines and disney. All up to date. I believe they are telemarketers.

While the number is suspicious and I am not certain it is really Chase Bank you can supposedly call the number back and then press "5" or follow the prompts to add your telephone number to the Chase "Do not call registry".  If this does not work call your states' Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs and the Federal Trade Commission to report the number.

I don't think that this is Chase. I get calls about 3x a day now. They are increasing in frequency yet when I answer the phone it doesn't connect to anything. Furthermore, I don't have any accounts with Chase or any company owned by Chase. So, I would be wary of this number.

This is Chase credit card services. If you call this number back, you'll be given the opportunity to be put on Chase's do not call registry. They say it takes up to 30 calendar days to be removed. I'm still getting calls a week after asking to be removed, so I just keep calling them back. We'll see.....

CALLS EVERY DAY! Very annoying

Just called it back and it's Chase. The announcement is:

Thank you for calling Chase, to continue in English..."

No particular information given as to which Department at Chase this is, but I presume it's related to credit cards. Most likely they want to sell some additional services which I certainly don't need.

Anyone tried to call this number back?
