Hi I could really use some help.  They have my student loan account and have garnished my tax refund.  Be in right now, my only source of income.

I have been on hold for about 2-3 hours trying to payoff the account that we have with these people!!! how hard is it to find a file that you are collecting on? REALLY 3 hrs and still waiting

These people are calling an 80 year old woman harrassing her about me saying that they are going to take me to jail.it is so wrong to do this.

I receive calls several times a day to both cell and land line.  They say they are calling about a student loan that is delinquent but the loan has been paid monthly for the past 2 years directly from SS.  How do I stop the calls.

I receive a call every day on my cell phone from this number. I do not answer it but it is getting very annoying and interrupts my personal and business life! Please do what you can to end this not only for me but others that may be involved! Thank you!

a person called me from this 1 800 number I did not state my name I said that I was her mother. the person handed out more information than what was necessary by law. they did not know that I was the person they were looking for. yes it is a collection agency but they cannot divulge any information on who what when where or why. but they did and I have her name and phone number and extension. I will be calling them back with a piece of my mind.

Sounds like  a scam.  They need a court order to garnish wages.  You would have been served papers about such a court proceeding.  The person refusing to give further information is suspicious.  Do contact your student loan company and see what they say.  If you are somehow in default, talk to them about how to resolve it -- don't talk to some random person who calls you making threats.

I got a call from same number and say they are going to garnish my wages. From a student loan I had out. I thought I had made all the arragenments with everyone I needed to. But she could not give me more information, And I was not going to give my info out. so I hung up. I am trying to get in contact with the school checking on this matter. SO IS IT A SCAM OR NOT ?

Jamila called from 2012974799 stated that she was looking for Crystal needed to speak with her in reference to an important matter. Could not discuss anything else other than that she was calling in reference to an application that came across her desk. That she could call back to NES 800-626-0305 ext 1628. Very rude every single time she calls and everytime she calls has a different reason for calling.

They called me and were extremly nice. They were looking for a dead beat relative of mine. Unfortunitly my contact info was as old as theirs. I would have gladly turned over my relative to them. I don't understand why they did not want the email address because that is a good address. Maybe they don't want anything in writing.

They also call from landlines in the areas that they think you might be in. Such as (602) 652-2690. They also want you to call another number to get your phone number taken out of their system (me thinks this is a scam), that number being 877-603-7165. Get google voice and block their numbers. It will play the "This number has been disconnected" message and will automatically boot your number out of their systems, or at the very least the number blocked will never get through to your phone. Not to say they can't try from another number, but they'll run out of numbers before google runs out of blocking capabilities. Have fun!

These harassing phone calls came through on my land line, cell phone and even a family member's phone with a similar name. This harassment has got to stop. First the calls come through as auto-dialed calls. Then another local number comes through with an actual live agent.  They say they are with National Entrerprise, which is a car rental agency, isn't it? However,  this National Enterprise claims they handle post student loan claims for old school loans, yada yada. I told them I paid off my loans years ago and have been laid off from my job. The lady, who had a thick mid-western accent, said we can put you on a program, pay off the remaining balance, then Sallie Mae will give you access to new loans. I told I was not interested. I do not owe any old school loans and I do not have any resources for future loans. LEAVE ME ALONE. This isnt a legit business; it's a scam. Do not sign up for any replayment program, they are liars and cheats. Report these calls to your state attorney general's office immediately. Stop the harassment and scamming and file a complaint as I have done. This is ridiculous.

Except for when they have the wrong person. They were harassing me at work for a debt they thought I owed only to find out they were looking for a different Jennifer. Funny, the lady wouldnt give me half a chance to explain they were wrong and continued talking over me. So I think ALL the people on here are justified at being upset with this company. They are rude and forget the people they are talking to are people too. Oh, and be careful because the woman on the phone gave me someone elses social security number and home address. Hmmm...what do YOU think of them now?

Got my 4th call today for debt they claimed I owe (first 2 calls were been messages left that I never returned and on the 3rd call told the guy to send me a letter before he could get too many words out). I don't owe the money and today it was confirmed they were looking for a different Jennifer. They actually gave me this other Jennifer's FULL SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER and ADDRESS!!!! I hope to God I never have a debt to this company considering they have no effing clue who they are talking to. Its a good thing I am a good and honest person. Sue to recover .... possibly. Garnish, no, not before a judgment is won in court. Supposedly a couple of states and provinces deviate from US federal law here, but no matter. Threats of either one from this bunch violate FDCPA and probably your state law, and usually indicate the collector is holding zero proof of claim. Document with care everything you hear from these extortionists.

Hell Drew. I just got a call from these evil people today. They said they will sue and garnish wages if I dont come up with 10% down by tomorrow morning. Are they really able to sue and garnish wages? I havent received anything in writing from this company before.

They called my office on a crapshoot. They must have googled the debtors name and I must be a close match. When I asked if "is this Ms. wells"?, she had to think a second. I guess she could not remember which phony name she was using that day.
I asked her twice what company I had called, because they dont announce it, and what was the nature of the call. She rudely told me to "shut up, give me a chance to look up your file." I asked her again, "file about what"
She never answered me, just kept pepping with identification questions. Once she realized I was not the debtor in question, she backed off and told me she would take my phone number off the record.
I would hate to be in a position to have to actually deal with these cretins. Incredibly unprofessional.

They can say whatever they want, but the next time they call you tell them this "im asking your company nicely to not call me again, consider this your warning, if I receive one more phone call from your company, I will file harassment against you".  From what I understand, if theyre told not to contact you and they do it anyway, its harassment.  It doesnt matter who they are or what they want, if theyre told not to call again, its harassment if they do!  Just as it is when some other person wont leave you alone!  I always tell them if theyre a bill collector, they have my address, they can mail it to me or leave me alone!!!

These people are calling you to collect a DEBT!!!! Pay your bills people! Im my case I had recieved a payment book with 12 payments in it from Sallie Mae....I paid the 12 payments and thought I was done and my loan was paid back....boy was I wrong...to my fault I didnt contact Sallie Mae to comfirm that it was paid off in full...I am glad I am now working with a "Tracy Thomas" after 9 payment of what I can afford I will be paid off in full.....You here so much about scams, but this is a true company so deal with your money issues....if not they will take your pay and your taxes.

This is the first time I've received a call from this particular number. It was listed as "Private" on my cellphones' callerID, I didn't think they were allowed to call anyone that way for business purposes. However, the number they are calling is to a tracfone that costs me by the minute whether I am calling or receiving a call (that I will deign to answer). I've had this number for almost a year now, the only people who I've given it to is my childrens' school for emergency use and a VERY FEW friends and family. I assume they are going after some debtor who had this number well over a year ago and they had no other contact # so they plan to abuse me for awhile. I WILL NOT even answer to set them straight, since I have been on the no-call list for a year and they are using automated dialing machines to call me in the first place. ROT in H*LL, NES!
