I want my number off this calling list.  While this is the number they give you as a call back, their caller ID number is 410-312-8222.  This must stop.  They have called me 9 times in the last 4 days.

This is Arbitron and they only want folks who want to participate. There may be others out there using VoIP spoofing to hack their number, but these buys are on the up and up. Anyone who listens to radio knows what Arbitron is (your station will mention them if their rating are good). We signed up for this and have so far received $20.00 for not doing a thing and can receive up to another $40.00 for simply filling out the survey (which takes a bit of time and lasts a week, but is not anything more than the time most folks spend checking Facebook ,which I personally feel is useless). Plus, if you love your radio station it is the only way to keep it on the air My wife and I have both lost radio stations that we enjoyed because they fell victim to ratings. I would say if anyone gets a chance to do this, they should go for it as it has positives for both you and your favorite radio station (even if you stream radio, it's still for you!).

I have asked them 3x times now and they still call ..so you were fortunate I guess.. that your caller took you off their list. Funny thing is when I asked them to take me off she said they don't have a list to take you off of.

ARBITRON needs to quit HARRASSING people! What part of quit clg don't you understand. You use the muse that You are not selling anything so you can get away with harrassing people. I have asked your 3 different callers to quit calling me and each time they say they will but the calls keep coming do you really think I would EVER do a survey for a company that Lies and is harrassing?
call the people that you give your 5 bucks to 100x and leave the rest of us alone. i will still report your calls to the donotcall list ea. and every time until THEY get sick of it and do something about you.

This company - Arbitron ratings, not only calls consistently, they even sent me a letter.  The problem is they have called me at unwarranted hours.  Once at 7:45 in the morning - isn't that illegal?  And once at 9:30 at night - one again, illegal?  We asked them to remove us from their list at the last phone call.  They are very persistent.  Apparently they are a rating company for radio stations.  The problem is we only listen to one station and wouldn't be of value to their survey.  I hope they stop calling us!

This call is from Arbitron to request your participation in a radio survey. You are compensated for your participation. However, if you do not wish to take part, simply tell them you have someone working in the radio, television or cable network field, living in your household. Arbitron conducts radio surveys.  The send you a letter that includes a $1 bill and then call you several days later. They have an erollment web site:

I called that 800 number, then I hit 1 for English of course and then I entered my phone number on the keypad (they have it already anyway). A guy then answered the phone and I told him I wanted my phone number OFF their list. He asked what it was and I gave it to him and then he said, "asta la vista".............We'll see what happens.

I have had this number on the "do not call list" like forever.

I got a call today  11-08-07)from this number. Now they are leaving breathing on my voice mail

This number calls my home multiple times a day.  The caller ID shows UNKNOW NAME - whoever it is - they are a pain.  They start at around 8 in the morning and call until 9:30 at night.  They seem to be especially bad around DINNER TIME.  No one should be allowed to use an unidentified name when calling.

This number is calling my home numerous times daily and nightly' everyday of the week including Sunday's.  No ID;leaves no messages.  I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

I received a call from someone with this company who would not listen when I told him I do not listen to the radio and I did not need a form to fill out and return.  I told him if he did not listen to what I would hang up the phone.  He kept reciting his prepared presentation, so I hung up the phone.  I do not want them calling me again.

Did ya ever think, that unwanted calls and ignored requests to stop calling are considered HARASSMENT (or what is now known as BULLYING) in most states...

Now if all these folks to actually document the dates and times of the calls and the date and time that you were requested to stop, and get a class action lawsuit against your company, with tons of media coverage, what a just and ripe reward that would be.

You feel that your company is exempt from the law and what is most commonly called good business practices, if someone asks you to stop doing something and you continue to do it. it could also be taken as verbal assault, Consumer harassment, or a plethora of other consumer avocational items.

Simple thing, stop when someone asks you to.

Don't fall for this. If they were on the up and up, simple answers over the phone would be all that is required. They want to use the mail to verify your addresses and other personal information that you're willing to offer.

Contact data is gold and a billion dollar a year industry. By giving in, you're just guaranteeing that you will be available to any marketer any time they push BUY NOW for contact information databases. The type of information you provide to these "survey" type companies can be used to cross validate all kinds of information about you that exists in other databases.

Arbitron Rating----doesn't care if you are on the DO NOT CALL list. For some strange reason, they think that people who put their name on the list don't mind getting calls from surveys or other types of companies that fit through the loopholes. DO NOT CALL, means do not call. A solicitation is a solicitation whether it be for time, money or information.

Arbitron Rating gets paid for their research, so it's really some strange loophole. Even though they are not directly selling something, they profit.  The type of companies that disrespect  consumers' righs to privacy in their own homes and finds ways around  explicit requests, such as DO NOT CALL, should be put out of business.

For the person above that says that each person in their home got a small monetary compensation, you and your family will actually be paying for a very, very long time.

We were getting pretty frustrated with all the calling and how late (and early) some of the calls were coming in. I don't know why I didn't answer the call earlier. I mean, if it was someone wanting to sell me something, I'm a big girl...I know how to say No, Thank you. lol
I think I was just tired and didn't feel like listening to another sales pitch... but it just made them call more trying to catch someone at home.
It turns out it's just a survey and they sent a pamplet for all adults over 12 and all you have to do is say what stations you listened to. I had told her that we didn't listen to the radio anymore and they still let us fill it out because they need a wide range of participants.
We received a few dollar bills in each pamplet just for a little thank you. It doesn't take long at all to fill this thing out.
Should they call so many times each day and so early or so late?? No! But I wish I would have answered before instead of getting so irritated with avoiding their calls. They don't call anymore. It was a one time thing. :)

800-638-7091, It's soooooooooooooo fun to crank these guys. The beauty of it too is you can call from a payphone as well so you don't have to worry about *69 nonsense. Also if you call after hours you get an answering machine which you can use to practice your favorite comedy monologues.
I love calling and asking stupid questions like "Is it okay to bring the radio in the bathtub while I do the survey?" or I'll talk really raunchy, heinous and profane filth. Been doing it with pride and love since 1998 and I will not stop. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!

If I call somebody more than 10 times, and they don't answer the phone, thats's probably a good indication that they don't want to talk to me.

But maybe I'll call a hundred more times, just to be sure.

You, Arbitron, are a major pest. I hate your calls, and will never answer them, nor do I answer ANY calls from anyone who is not a relative or friend.
You should get the message, and remove numbers that do not answer from your lists.

This is Arbitron doing a consumer survey. Answer once and the calls will stop.  The person conducting the survey when I answered was friendly and polite.  If you don't want to answer their questions or don't have the time - just tell them.
They call repeatedly because it is assumed that no answer means no one is available to answer.
Don't be afraid.  There are worse calls out there!

These people are calling 10x per night starting at 8:30pm, the night before the kids go back to school.  They have been doing this a few times each week for over three weeks.  Google helped me pinpoint them:

Who is this looser?

I have been receiving calls from 1-800-638-7091 and I am on the international Do Not Call List.  The last call I received was after 08:00 P.M. June 15 2008 and I do not wont to receive calls from the company.  I work nights and this call is keeping me from receiving a good days sleep.

They keep calling us too. The fact is....I sleep through the day and it is very annoying to get woken up to the freakin phone ringing off the hook!
