Unsolicited call to a DO NOT CALL private residence.

DO NOT return the call. Report them to the DO NOT CALL government registry for prosecution.

Is this never legit? Or fraud? I got a supposed bill from national grid from 2 years ago. They gave me the 4272 # & as soon as I mentioned scam they hung up on me.

Received this call at 9 am and it was a recorded message from National Grid telling me that Emergency HEAP benefits are now available.

Just telling me about heat assistance  program.

Nation Grid - automated voice mail message that my billing for the month is due.

It is National Grid, stating that a bill is due.  I don't think it is, considering we just made a payment a couple of weeks ago.  No problem though.  If they keep calling, they go on BLOCK on Digitone.

Call from National Grid informing me that they would be replacing a piece of faulty equipment that had failed, causing my power outage from last night.  The power may have to be turned off for up to 5 minutes for the safety of the crew...............

It is a legit call, the power company now will call its customers as opposed to getting a ton of calls about an outage.

Received a voicemail from National Grid noting a scheduled power outage occurring in two days. A real call.

I got a call from this number. it was a woman with a barely understandable accent. She said she was from National grid and wanted the last four numbers of my SSN to verify it was me.  I have never given National Grid my cell number or my SSN. I accused her of trying to defraud me and hung up on her.

Received a call from the above 800 number.  After listening to hold music, a man came on and asked for my mother.  When I asked who was calling he hung up.

This needs to be addressed and handled!!!

received a call from1-800-642 4272 dont understand why as we paid our bill for february haventreceived bill for march yet  did not pick up knew who it was received call on saturday march 10th 2012  214pm

i just got a call and a voicemail from this number.  its national grid.  im starting service in my new place and they wanted to confirm the day and time.  thats it.  nothing scary or sketchy...no need to report to any lists.

got a call from 800-642-4272. left a message on my machine saying they were national grid and will be doing work in my area tomorrow and the electricity may be off for a few minutes. national grid has never left messages for customers telling them they will be working on the lines. they work on the lines all the time..without previous warnings.  

well, after the first phone call, i get another call from a 506-228-4562 number who leaves no message and doesn't identify themselves or the company.  

i reported both of these numbers to donotcall.gov.

i think the 800-642-4272 may be a customer service number used for many of companies including national grid.

This is one of the numbers the collection dept.
