Received several calls from this company with a voicemail saying, "This message is not for you"

Calls my cell phone every day. Auto Dialer. No chance to answer. Never leaves a message. STRICTLY A HARASSMENT TECHNIQUE.

My husband has received repeated calls on his cell phone from this number. They ask for me, but when I call back, they have no record of either my name or his cell phone #. Seems sinister to me....

I received a phone call from 800-658-0074 who left a pleasant message on the answering machine stating that they are a debt collection agency and were calling about a debt that I owe.  Funny, I don't owe anyone anything!  Anyway, I called them back this morning, just for a little fun, and they asked for my phone number so they could look up my account.  I gave them my phone number since they already have that and they brought up my account in their computer system and verified my name.  Oddly enough the lady said that she "saw my account but I don't owe anything on it now and they had already sent that collection back to the client".  "That seems odd, I've never paid any collection!", I told her.  She immediately responded with, "Well, maybe the debt collection that you're calling about has not been filed under your phone number.  Give me your social security number and I'll look it up under that."  I responded with a hardy "Not on your life!".  She said "Well then I can't help you any further.  Have a nice day." and hung up.  

In my humble opinion, this is nothing more than a total SCAM to get your social security number!  We'll see if they call back, but I'm betting that the magical debt fairy suddenly pays all of my debt and they never call back!

Been getting calls from this number (1-800-658-0074) and never have a chance to answer.  They have left a few voicemails with and automated message asking for the person (who I don't even know) to call back.  

Every time I call back and use the automated wrong number report, the line goes quiet and nothing happens.  Finally I spoke to a representative and I was shocked by how kind he was about the calls.  

Hopefully he does remove my number.

Anyway, call 'em back and get a representative.  Don't be rude and just tell them they have wrong number.  If you get any s**t about it, tell them you will be reporting them for harassment.

I have been harassed by this collection agency that goes by the
name of"Enhanced Recovery Corporation" for almost a year now.

They demand to talk to  someone stayed at my home for a while,
about eight years ago,and insist that they will keep calling.

Yes,  he was a deadbeat, that"s one of the
reasons I have haven't seen or heard from him in years.

But they won't listen to that, and insist on calling and calling,
while refusing to identify themselves.

Of course they have no idea who I am, so they can't send me a
"snail mail bill," for whatever I do not owe. :)

Tonight, they really blew it, and left a message,  with their
phone number. (1-800-658-0074)

(of course in their "debt collection" message, they had no
idea of my name)

In conclusion, I'm really sick of  this "Enhanced
Recovery Corporation" calling me about a dozen
times a day, (on weekends) and am looking into
the possibility of a big class action lawsuit.

Just received another call from 800 658 0074. After several attempts to get them to remove my number from their calling list I have filed a complaint at the National Do Not Call Registry.  Maybe now they will stop calling.

Enhanced Recovery Services. They phoned, a lot of noise in the background. Similar to a boiler room operation. Did not identify themselves until asked, would not state their purpose other than "business matter with them."  Very rude and ignorant.

Receive calls from this number 800-658-0074. Never leaves a message. I think it is Enhanced Recovery Systems that once phoned. They are very rude and unprofessional, real sum bags. They need to be reported.

Receive many calls from this number. Never leave a message, I answered once, it was a Pakistani for Enhanced systems or something like that. Couldn't understand him. I would not let them record the call, they got mad and hung up immediately.

Caller ID says "Toll Free Number."

When I receive calls that I don't recognize and they are from out of my area code, I do not answer them.  I do however do a couple of things with their captured number.

    1.  If it is a survey, telemarketer or in this case a collection company, I list it under a funny name
         like "CRAP" or  "CRAP-2" in my contacts, then make sure it is NOT assigned a ringtone.  With
         my phone company I get a single ping that tells me I missed a call.  (This will allow you to store
         a Home, Work, Mobile 1, and a Mobile 2 number until you check them out further in step 2.)

    2.  I Google the number out on the internet.

    3.  If it is an abusive company such as this, I login to my computer account and add it to my
         "Call & Message Blocking" list which is located in the "SAFE GUARDS" section of my
         homepage.  When that is full, I typically add them to my "Internet Spam Blocking" tab.  This
         effectively doubles the amount of numbers that can be blocked.

This Number calls me many times a day. When i called back to see who it was the guy told me that people like myself should eat my babies so people like him dont have to deal with them in the future!!

THEY CALL ME EVERYDAY

After letting it go to voicemail finally I told them today that I'm not the person they're looking for, and they laughed and said "I know it's you, no need to lie to me!" I just went along as I was sick of their harrasments and told them to stop calling me the guy said I was an a**hole and he was going to mail me from now on and collect the debt.

THEY'RE morons.

I just called the number on the caller ID. I got a recording with 3 options: dial 1 to have your phone number removed. Dial 2 for a balance. Dial 3 to speak to an agent.  I dialed 1, put in my phone number and the automated voice said my number had been located and removed. Lets hope it works.

No voice mail message is left.  I have gotten calls repeatedly, but I refuse to answer.

The Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ("FDCP Act")15 USC 1692 et seq is intended to eliminate abusive and deceptive debt collection practices.  It only applies to consumer, not commercial transactions.

Regarding contacting third-parties it provides at 15 USC 1692c(b):

(b) Communication with third parties Except as provided in section 1692b of this title, without the prior consent of the consumer given directly to the debt collector, or the express permission of a court of competent jurisdiction, or as reasonably necessary to effectuate a postjudgment judicial  remedy, a debt collector may not communicate, in connection with the collection of any debt, with any person other than the consumer, his attorney, a consumer reporting agency if otherwise permitted by law, the creditor, the attorney of the creditor, or the attorney of the debt collector.

Send a certified letter to ERC describing the facts about the calls. Say you believe that the debt collector is acting in violation of the Federal FDCP Act and (your) state law, including, but not limited to 15 USC 1692c and insert the above statute. Demand that it stop all contact with you immediately or you will seek recovery of civil damages, sanctions, costs and fees and will contact state and federal attorney generals' offices to enforce the debt collector's obligations.

2 calls from them within less than 5 minutes asking for a person who does not live here.

When this company finally leaves a message, all you hear is someone talking in the background...usually several people, and the person on the phone with you is typing. They never leave an actual voice message. I have called them back and their name is Enhanced Recovery Corporation.

This company keeps calling my phone.  I answered and let them know that they have the wrong phone number.  They keep calling and they say nothing until I hang up.  It is a nuisance!

i am constantly getting calls from this number.  I have a nextel for work and I only use the ping on it, not the phone.  I dont even have access the voicemail on the phone. They just keep on calling!!

This is a company called Enhanced Recovery Corporation.  We also have repeatedly told them the person they are looking for would not have access to our phone, but they call twice a day.  I have been advised to report them to the Bureau of Consumer Protection and the Federal Trade Commission 1-800-441-2555 if they continue to call.

I got two calls from them today, both with messages with people talking in the background, and some woman saying "mmhmm". I called them back to get the company name and hung up. These people must take great offense to that, because the guy called me back immediately and yelled at me for hanging up on him. I just laughed. He's supposedly calling back later...

This number calls and calls my house, I think they are a collection agency. They want to reach my daughter, but will give me no information. I want to know who to report this to. Daughter is an adult and doesn't live here. If I answer and ask for her when I say she doesn't live here, they just hang up on me. I am tired of being harrassed! I don't know if I should call the police or what! What do you think?

I just recently started to get these harassing calls. I told them they had the wrong person and wrong number and the guy told me that he was GIVEN this number but that's all he said. So he said he'll handle it after i told him he was given the wrong number then. I just checked my cell and i have 5 missed calls...by THEM. I'm at work and leave it for emergancies and because i have some medical issues. I'm sick of this!

I get 3 to 4 calls a day from this number, only at my work number, and they never leave a message.  I no longer answer my work phone, because it seems useless for me to do so.  I am so sick of the phone ringing, that now I am startingto tune it out.  This is not good for the workplace.  Urggg!

Get this call daily several times a day and no message left.  So tonight I answered the call and when i answered only after 2 rings they hung up on me.  So I called the number back to see who it was.  When they answered and said the name I hung up (like they do).  The min. I pressed the end call button on my phone they called back.  It was the same man that answered when I called.  He said I just called your number hung up and then got a call from this number.  I stated oh really, well every time you people call this number you leave no message and hang up so I called and did the same thing.  He stated wow arent you a childish person and hung up.  Thats nice dont you think, thats a business and thats how they talk to people.  So I called back, apoligized to the women that answered and then blew her away with what recently happened.  She stated she does not know who placed the call.  I stated nicely, yes you do all calls made from this number are logged tell the childish man that he needs to grow up and get a real job.!!!!!  These people are so rude and unprofessional.

This people have been calling just about every day. We live in the country and are outside a lot. We very rarely have a chance to answer the phone by the third ring (When most callers hang up) When I finally was able to answer, I told them to stop calling my number. A female giggled and said "Why Not?"

This caller repeatedly calls every 30 min.

I get 10 phone calls a day on my cell phone, with no message left.  When I call back no one is there!
This really needs to stop now!!! Any ideas????
