I received one of these lovely postcards, but it was yellow. On the front it says "DELIVERY SERVICES We are trying to contact you but are unable for one of the following reasons: Restricted or Insured Requires a Signature, Unable to Use PO Box, No One Available - Call to Authorize Alternate Contact 1-800-784-1735. Please call ASAP to schedule or to advise and says to key in your reference number found above your address. On the back it says DELIVERY SERVICES We are trying to reach you. Please call us to reschedule. with a picture of a mail truck. I was so glad to see other postings about these as I was very skeptical about it since anything legitimate would list a company name or the nature of their business. Also when you call the number (I did the *67 caller ID block before trying it), it doesn't state a company name, just tells you to enter your 7 digit reference code. I'm assuming like others have said that it some sort of collection agency trying another sneaky/illegal method of obtaining information.

Received a bright orange postcard marked 'Delivery Services' - 'We are trying to contact you but are unable for one of the following reasons;' Then it lists three 'reasons' as to why including "Restricted or Insured Requires a Signature", "Unable to use PO box" and "No one availble, call to authorize alternate contact" - "please call ASAP to schedule or to advise 1-800-683-9758". The postcard looks like someone is trying to delivery a package, when it fact, they want you to call their 800 number so they can then get your telephone number etc. Definitely a scam... and if it is a collection agency, they are going about this illegally. Postcard is going into the shredder...

i got a " Delivery Service Notification" and it was so cheaply made. it didnt say where it was from or what it was for. all it said was that they have been trying to reach me. and could give me my package because the package was restricted or insured and required a signature or there was no one available and to call to authorize a alternate contact or call and key in my reference #. the post stamp is from denver colorado. i dont think im even gonna bother callin to see whats up i know its nothing i ordered because everything i order is with FedEX and this note looked like my 6 years old nephew made it in his art class.

I received a "telegraph alert," so I called the number provided (800-831-8706) from a pay phone, it was an advertisment for NOLO.com. This is some sort of Legal website where they sell books and what not.

I got one of these letters today and looked it up, glad that I did.

Yeah, I received the same letter as above. From "Skip Johnson" asking to retrieve my automatic voice mail message. I never called it.
Good to know that this is a violation of federal law.
| Angelo 2008-11-15 21:53:24 Unknown |
The message states to call Skip Johnson once you call and enter the number contained in the letter. The message will then request that you call Skip Johnson at 1-800-735-9592 it is NCO Financial Systems a Collection Company. Clearly the first letter was a collection letter and in violation of federal law as it does not state who it is or what for. The new number provided goes directly to voice mail and tells you it is NCO and to leave your name, number, etc. Serious federal law violations in collection law. I still have no idea why they are contacting me.

On further investigation, it is a number relating to OSI (Outsoursing Solutions Incorperated), a notoriously unscrupulous collection agency in Dublin OH. Avoid these guys if at all possible.

Not a call, but some mail from "Skip Johnson". A "message alert" to call this number and enter "message ID" #. It was an "automated voice message notification". The instructions read "at automated voice message has been feft for you and ndeeds to be retrieved by phone. To retrive the message that has neen left for you: Call toll free, 1-800-683-9759.
Its obviously a scam of some kind, since it gives no idication of what it is about. Beware.
