Call with caller id blocked, claim ATT DSL upgrade to 6 meg asked for number to call them back, given 800-690-5036.
Caller was James. Didn't know my name but knew company name

This number is from a sales office that is contracted to sell AT&T, Qwest, and Verizon services.

Actually that number is not in Indiana and we are a solutions provider for AT&T. They hire companies like us to do there sales because we are good at it. Most large telephone and cable companies hire solution providers to take care of the sales aspect of business. We are a reputable company that's contracted through AT&T to sell there products and services.

They called and claimed they were Verizon.

I agree with the comment above by people being a little too paranoid. Would you rather have these "horrible people" working and being a productive citizen or sit on welfare and collect YOUR tax money??? I think people have a little too much time on their hands to sit and complain about people who are told to do their job a certain way. Its a job, they dont call people to purposely make their lives a living hell. I think the problem here is ignorance. You should be happy these people have jobs.

I got an annoying call as well from these horrible people.  They are saying they are contracted by AT&T, however, at this point I highly doubt it.  Please beware of this caller and please do not purchase anything from them! Personally, I am reporting them to the Attorney Generals Office and I highly recommend you do the same.

A contractor and/or telemarketer hired by AT&T is calling businesses, sometimes more than once a day, attempting to sell a DSL upgrade. They call our office at least 2 times a day or more.

I have notiifed ATT to take us off all call list. They said it will take 60 - 90 days.

I also have a feeling that they are going to go ahead and try to do the upgrade anyway and see if we catch it on the bill. Beware of these call. The try to make you think it is FREE but it is only free for 3 months then it is a $10 upgrade.

They are very pushy and they will not quit you have to hang up on them. ATT has made a big mistake having these people call their business customers with this crap.


The phone calls constitute harrassment, the ordering of a service not asked for constitute fraud.

I do get a call from this number on a daily basis, and they dont leave any message. They keep calling, but I dont answer their calls. Name is displayed as "Customer SVC". I dont use AT&T, so I wonder where did they get my number from??

Either you work for this ANNOYING company or are new in the world of scams and telephone comapny flipping.  They called me and said AT&T wants to keep my internet with them and is going to double the speed.  Funny thing is I have NEVER had AT&T as my internet provider.  In addition prior to today this comapny called to no end and did not leave a message....if it was real they would leave a message and not try to trick us on the phone.  This IS A SCAM>>>>with enough info they will flip your number(s) away from your long distance company.

you all are so funny.. what purpose would someone have in doubling your internet speed w/o being contracted by AT&T? I mean think about it. I received a phone call by a person named Brent representing AT&T to just wanted to go over the existing DSL service and verify the address of my business since they were upgrading my DSL service twice the speed for a lower price then I asked him if in fact he was from AT&T don't they suppose have all my information?.. which he immediately answered that it was a routine that made me doubt about the veracity of a true rep. from ATT&T then I immediately asked him for his contact # and told whim will call him back. In fact I did but answering system did not indicated the company name just to hold for one of its agents!.

called church office, seh asked to speak to the person who handles billing.  Wanted to double our DSL speed for same rate. I just didn't believe her, since the actual number was blocked. I asked for her name and phone number and I would call her back. Then I went on line, as usual it was bogus! I love caller id, and the internet. You are saving us so much hassle! Remember, if you have a gutt feeling, go with it! =^..^=

Got a call from this number and claim that they are doing an ATT DSL upgrade.

Here at our office, the woman asked to speak to the person who handles billing.  Then, she offered to double our DSL speed but keep our yearly charge the same so long as we signed on for 12 months.  I became suspicious when she began asking for all of our phone numbers (if they were truly AT&T they wouldn't be asking for them.)  I asked for a call back number and she reluctantly gave me this one; saying "it goes straight to the office and there's no one in there right now."  At the phone company??!  I hung up and called AT&T directly and they verified that this is a number in Indiana and NOT theirs.

Got a call as well. Claimed "extend your contract another year and we'll double your speed to 6MB download."
