I just got a call from them. They did not identify the company but did say they were calling on behalf of a local hospital where I do have a $12,000 plus balance (I have no insurance).

They asked me if this was Philip _____ and I said yes and then she wanted me to give her my birthday! I refused and told her I have no clue who you are and even if this was a legitimate call I was not about to give out my personal information to a caller I did not know. She then told me to call the hospital and hung up.

They have called several times before but could not answer at the time and I refuse to call back people that leave obscure messages without any identifying information.

I keep getting calls from this 800-726-0514. They leave a message for a very long time friend of mine who had stayed here for year till she got back on her feet and could support herself and her 10 y/o son at the time. The message states its from Stony Brook Hospital calling for my friend. I have picked up and listened to the message and tried to get a rep on the line.. Waited five minutes and no one picked up. Called the number back spoke with someone at the number and gave them her new number and new address.. And I am still getting calls. I would block the number from calling here again! but figured I use the same hospital.

UPDATE-- I spoke directly with the hospital who is owed this debt. They indicated that First Source is not a collection agency. The hospital also told me that my account has not been sent to collections. The hospital says that they use this company as an extended billing office. Given that this hospital is an extremely (outrageously) busy county hospital, I can sort of understand why they might outsource their billing. I assured the hospital that I would much rather handle my account locally and directly with them, and they were quite kind about that. I'm currently working with the hospital directly in order to resolve my account rather than dealing with a 'contractor'.

Yes, these are debt collectors. I got a call today from one of their bottom feeders regarding a $256 debt that I do owe but simply can't pay at the moment, from 3-1/2 months ago. They also claimed to be from the billing office of a hospital here in Dallas. When I called back a second time they answered as "business office", but did not name a company. I told them that I know that they are a collection agency, which they denied. I asked for the name of the company and the representative said it was "First Source". So, they basically will lie to you about who they are and will not fess up when they're called out on that fact. I'll deal with the hospital directly rather than with the bottom feeders. And as soon as I can send the hospital even a few dollars on my debt, I'll do so but I'll send it to them directly. "The hospital" provided the service, not the collection agency. The hospital will get paid directly when I am able to do so. I won't support predators who skim off for their garbage tactics.

They called me today and left a message. I have never had any services provided by either MUSC of Imperial. They need to do their due diligence and get the correct phone number of the person they are trying to reach.

got a couple of calls but don't know who or where is calling. I called while writing this note and they answered.  It's a collection agency for medical bills outstanding....must say the woman who answered was very rude.

Called and didn't leave a message.
If this is indeed a company trying to collect for a hospital , they need to send a bill in the mail first so I can pay them something.  I've only been out of the hospital (Parkland Dallas) for 3 weeks and have yet to see a bill.

I keep getting a call saying " This is not a sales call, please call back at 1-800-726-0514."   This has been going on for about two months now. I never called back because I figured if it was that important they would have an actual person call rather than a recording telling you to call them beck. I haven't called back, I googled it first. But as far as I am aware of I don't have any unpaid medical bills.

Just received a call from this number too. Apparently in this case they are collecting $100.30 owed by me (?) from a hospital stay in Miami almost 23 months ago! (For the record... the entire hospital bill was covered by my travel insurance... I was on vacation at the time.) I don't understand why I am getting a call from this collection agency... why hasn't the hospital itself tried to contact me at some point in the past almost two years???

I received a letter in the mail with the phone number 800-726-0514 asking me to call their office regarding a hospital bill.  I told the woman that I had insurance that covered all my medical visits. She told me she didn't have my medical insurance information on file and for me to give it to her so she could correct the so called error in the computer. I told her if she is really with the hospital then she should already have my medical insurance information. She says she don't see it in the system and for me to give her my Medicare id number. I told her that didn't sound right to me and that she must be apart of some fraud then she start saying she is just trying to help me. I take another look at the paper that came in the mail and I noticed that the account number wasn't even correct. It was too long to be an account number for the hospital I visited. I told her that I was going to contact the hospital through the local number concerning the paper in the mail and she wanted to get off the phone. I called the hospital locally and they agreed with me that they did indeed have my medicare information on file without me having to tell them what it was. Watch out for these people sending letters in the mail looking like a bill. I can copy and paste a business logo in Microsoft Word and type up an invoice to look like the real deal. Don't ever give sensitive information to someone over the phone. Verify whether or not something you receive in the mail with the company locally because it is a nightmare getting your credit fixed behind people like this. I am still struggle to get mine fixed from the last person who messed me up about 4 years ago.

I received several calls from 800-756-0514 leaving no ID as to who the call was from. When I returned the call they ID me by my phone number since I do not block my ID for any call I make. She went right into a spill as to how they were an extended business office of a hospital I had been a patient of.  I had recently been in touch with the account receivable office of said hospital. I obtained their fax number and advised her they would receive a Cease and Desist letter shortly and that she should record my verbal notification. She says oh that doesn't pertain to them because they are not a collection agency. Upon further investigation I find that Helvey & Associates is a collection agency who masquerade as an extended business office. Notice sent to them.

I get these calls everyday. They always leave a message saying its important to speak with me about a buissness matter.

I finally called back today, and was answered quickly by a man who didn't even give out his name, his extension, or the name of the company. So I hung up. I don't trust anyone who doesn't give out any of that.

I don't owe any hospital anything. So I have no idea why they're calling me. I know my parents do owe like 1 hospital but it isn't the one you people say they are calling from.

Received a call today from 800-726-0514. It was good to have a number show up on my caller ID, cause I don't take them AT ALL if there is NO NUMBER.  I seldom take 800 Numbers either.  However I took it.  Message said, it was not a sales call, but a call about a personal business matter, and to call 800-726-0514.  I did a computer search FIRST.  Now that I know it is from a collection agency I won't be calling back.  IF and when I get a call from a real person, I will say, congratulations!  YOu have made you ONE call allowed by Law today, Goodbye.  The other persons insurance is paying our medical bills due to his fault in an accident.  Our hospital Ins. is taking care of the rest.  SO, I am not responsible at all. If they put it on my credit, I know how to get that off too.  Oh Happy Day!

Without identifying herself, a woman asked to speak to XXXX XXXX. Since name
was garbled so badly, I thought it might be a marketer....
I asked her repeatedly what the nature of her call was - she wouldn't say. This went on several times.

I told her that any call to XXXX (which I pronounced correctly) had to go thru me. She asked if this was Mr.XXXX work and again mispronounced his name. I told her I was Mrs.XXXX (pronounced correctly)

She then said she was from Argen Healthcare. I told her we had no business with any Argen Hospital. She said Argent represented TUSSON Heart Hospital.

Then it clcked: I told her it was Tucson (pronounced 'Two-son' and that she should say its name correctly if she was calling for them. She ignored everything, kept mispronouncing our last name as well as the hospital's name.

Finally she said something abt a bill. I todl DH to pick up the extension.
I told him someone was calling about a bill from THH.  Dead silence on the other end. We had to ask, "Are you still there?

She called him Mr ZZZZ (1st name)- he told her he was Mr XXXX to her... She didn't like that at all.

I asked from where she was calliing and was told "Miami."  I asked her name and was told "Kelly".  I asked for her real name thinking it was an out-sourced call. She asked why did I not think it her real name;I told her it was be/co she couldn't speak English.  She decided to end the call

I called THH and spoke with ther president's asst.) I told her it was not good PR for the hospital to repped by people who could not say its name or that of its patients even after being told repeatedly how to say them. She said she would look into it.

I called Argent-800-726-0514 [caller ID] Spoke w/a supervisor: VENUS FERNANDEZ.  I related Kelly's lack of professionalism, her rudeness and unwillingness to even try to say TWO-SUN (instead of Tusson) or our surname, and by her calling my husband by his first name.

Seems Kelly had called about a $250 balance  -- on a $54,000 bill!

I recalled getting a first bill last week. Venus said the bill was sent 12/19. I told her, "No, bill was dated, not sent, on 12/19." Venus then said that bills were mailed 2 days after billing date (12/21.) DH routinely date-stamps incoming mail, and that bill was stamped 12/28 -  Seven days from Miami to Tucson? In any event, the bill was paid 12/31 via MasterCard. Even using her questionable mailing date [12.21,] it was only 13 days since mailing and there were two weekends and the NY holiday in that time period.
